We have been here a few times. Every experience has been wonderful. You are offered so much food, and it is outstanding. Each time we come we bring different family members. They all are amazed at the portion sizes and the exquisite tastes offered. The servers are constantly busy, so wait times for food are longer than usual. However, that works to our advantage as it gives us plenty of time to socialize with our guests. As far as ambiance, it is loud. But that just adds to the whole "homey" experience. Went to the restaurant to order pick up, since the online wait was over an hour. Ordered quickly and the wait was only 30 minutes. So the bad is that there was no seating area for the wait so I had to go back to my car in the rain. Online order doesn't include a salad and bread, but it does online. Ordered the branzino and chicken Marsala, unfortunately they were bland. No salt and the food lacked flavor. The salad was good but they need to give more dressing. So the chicken cutlet was very big, this is a good Wednesday special for $15 dollars, did not expect it would come with a salad, garlic knots and bread, that was a surprise. We absolutely had a wonderful time on New Year's Eve last year! They gave us a great spot against the window for date night! The food was homemade and made with love, absolutely delicious! They support the community and offer help with families in need during this time that is so hard for many people to even feed their children giving them a holiday meal this year!!! To me that is 6 stars in my book and we will be back soon to support! Never again! Two hours and I am still waiting on my food. Management clearly overbooked on a Friday night and didn't have the decency to even come over to my table of 13 and explain. However when two other large parties got seated after we did and got served before we did, that sealed the deal. I could have flown to Italy and gotten dinner faster! read more

First time- last time. Went to dinner on 12/21 with a 6;30 reservation . Server was absolutely slow and inefficient and inattentive. Never came around to check in or offer refills. Took an additional 30 minutes after eating to even get boxes and a check. Never asked if we were good or wanted anything else. Atmosphere- loud, echoing and not intimate. Only bright side was the Santa. Put a carpet down to reduce the excess noise. Food- ordered calamari. Omg it was like eating fishy flavored rubber band. Absolutely the worst I ever had. Had Alfredo with crab meat. I have never had crab meat that had that much of a fishy flavor to it. Salmon for my daughter- she enjoyed it. The scampi that my other daughter ordered was less than enjoyable. Bread was the best part of the meal. Sad part. The bill was $200. Why didn't I complain? We have always heard great reviews of this spot and wanted to try it out! The space is small and we have several small kids so we wanted to go when we had less children with us or alone. We were able to go for lunch with our toddler. When we first came in we were not sure if this was going to be so great because the menus and tables were in terrible shape. The other guests in the restaurant seemed happy and everyone was in great spirits. We had a wonderful waitress who apologized for the appearance of the menus. We ordered their tomato tower(it is their most popular app) drunken chicken sandwich, and shrimp scampi. We shared all three dishes between us. The tomato tower was amazing, my husband who was not interested said, "well their food is not disappointing and I am believing all the rave of this spot." I was also convinced how good their food was after we received their lunch entrees. What a win!! We are believers and see why they have a following. Food is above average but lacks consistency and some dishes are just ok. I was moderately disappointed our first time. I was excited to get past the service glitch then let down on a crazy app that made no culinary sense. Authentic and tasty!! Piccolo Mondo is a wonderful, local find. My fiancé and I have eaten here twice and the food is a consistent 4 stars. But our service experiences were definitely different. On food- The bread basket! Carb variety heaven!! Love the selection of hard Italian bread slices, pizza and garlic knots. Yum!!! For appetizers at last meal (2 weekends ago) we had the Tomato Tower and House Salad. The salad was tasty, well dressed and crisp. The Tomato Tower is a standout! The sauce is superb. I found those hidden capers (usually not a fan) and ate them anyways. The tomatoes were golden fried and no sogginess. For entrees, my fiancé had the Chicken Saltimbocca and I the Linguini Pescatore. The vegetables were cooked well with the chicken and he enjoyed. Nothing to write home about but a good dish. The Linguini was cooked right, just al dente. All the seafood was cooked well, maybe the shrimp a tad over, but they were really large so makes the exception for. And Hello Garlic!!! I love garlic so seeing and tasting all the shavings was beautiful for me! For food, they are absolutely recommended!! And we love that they have partnered with our local Costco on gift cards- thank you!!! And to mention the staff here- they HUSSLE, kudos to them. No one was standing around and they were moving. Here's where the 3 stars comes in- We were able to make a reservation for 7:45pm (at around 4:30pm) that Saturday night. Wonderful! We arrived promptly and waited. Waited more.....finally were sat at 8:40pm. This doesn't lead very pleasantly, as the waiting area is cumbersome and being a BYOB it's not alike having a bar to hang around and kill waiting time at. So we were seated, great, now we were hungry- But not THIS hungry..... We ordered our appetizers and legitimately in less than 10 minutes our entrees were out. This was extremely rushed and then the feeling in being overwhelmed by food. Also leaves less than a made-to-order feel to the meal, if courses are being prepped and fired off so quickly. We still would have come to dinner if told to arrive for a 8:30 reservation. That would have been preferred. Will we come back- likely, for the food, but with anticipated patience in mind. read more

None of our dinners came at same time and some that came weren't even ours. Food below par. Calamorie undercooked and tough. On many dishes other than pasta, a lot of fill used. E.G. fish very small portion and loads of tomatoes, and other veggies used as a filler. When a restaurant does that? Not good. Our waitress was flip when we asked for ice coffee. All we said was bring a glass of ice and hot coffee, we'll handle. Her answer? I cant do that, no explanation. Huh why? Never answered. The room was so packed not sure it would pass fire inspection for number of occupants. Very disappointed and wont go back.
