My husband I just recently upgraded my wedding ring and we could not be happier with the results! It is beautiful! John was wonderful and easy to work with he helped us design the ring and it was finished quickly! I recommend them to all friends and family! I also love that it is a family owned business vs a big name jewelry store. Our experience was much more enjoyable with Carioti vs Kay

the literal ring of my dreams. i could not be happier with the ring that John helped my fiancé design for me. it is absolutely stunning and more than i could have ever imagined!! i went and got it resized after we got engaged and they were so kind and so helpful and got it resized in 3 hours so i could pick it up same day! i will definitely be returning to get our wedding bands from here. could not be more satisfied! :)

It began at noon and we arrived about 25 minutes in. It was EXTREMELY busy. We looked around and about 20 minutes later we went to check out. My friend was going to lend me the cash for my purchase and our total was $36. It took the cashier a while to determine that the four items totaled $36. He was sniffling a lot so he may have had a cold. My friend took out her $100 bill and handed it to the gentleman he gave her change back for a $50. My friend had shown me that very same bill when I asked if she had cash because I'd forgotten to get some on the way there. Nevertheless, he insisted that she was mistaken. The other person that was at the table next to the gentleman looked in what I can assume was a cash box under the table I cannot be sure but she said well what's this. The gentlemen again insisted that he placed the bill that he'd been given right on top. And my friend again said she gave him a hundred dollar bill. This went on and the other person at the table had by now gotten up and started calling the person in charge. She must've seen him coming back because she came back to the table and once again looked in the cash drawer and asked, 'What's this here?' The gentlemen asked 'what' and she said 'this on the side here.' According to her it was a hundred dollar bill at the bottom of the pile and another hundred on the side. When the person in charge came up he went straight to the gentlemen bypassing me, my friend and the woman on the other side of the table and asked what was goin on. Now the gentlemen started saying they're accusing us of taking money from them to which the person in charge replied well we aren't gonna steal from anybody. Then my friend stated that she knows she gave him a hundred. He then stated we wouldn't even take a $100 bill. As I stated earlier we'd been going to these sales for a few years, and they ALWAYS took the hundred. When she asked if they would count up the till at the end of the day and found it to be over would they give her a call and give her the missing $50. The response was, 'you know you're not satisfied with us then we're not satisfied with you!' We felt bullied and intimidated and the person in charge told the gentleman to give her her money back, (ONLY $50 was returned) He continued, 'You can leave and don't ever come back!' Never thought I'd be traumatized at an estate sale but this left me with some trauma for sure.

I understand the sentiment as a matter of practicality - most places that are smaller and more boutique tend to charge boutique prices. Diamond Exchange, to pardon the expression as pun, is a diamond in the rough in that regard. Nearly hidden on Gay St in an old bank building, much of the original charm of the building is left intact, including some elements of the lobby and old offices. Inside are treasures that are unique and individual to your tastes and needs, priced with deliberation and care. The service and individualized care is also something that, quite frankly, I didn't feel I deserved on the modest means I was able to bring to bear. But we found something that fit both my mission as well as my budget. I found something very special for my 10th wedding anniversary. I think it spoke volumes. I will definitely be back for other celebrations to come.

We spent a month dealing with them denying the entire thing before finally getting a refund. I was left without an engagement ring for 4 months. I found Columbus Diamond Exchange after my boss recommended Steward. Not only did Steward and Lesley listen to my horror story of situation but Steward took great care to listen to what I was looking for in a new ring. He paid attention to every detail and even measured a current ring that I was wearing to make sure I liked the feel of the one he was going to design. Steward kept me in the loop every step of the way, from picking out the diamond to drafting the design of the ring. He was absolutely wonderful to work with and I felt like he was just as excited to make my ring as I was to get it! The ring my fiancé proposed with was very unique and Steward diid an amazing job of creating something just as unique and even more beautiful. We are beyond happy with the quality of service and quality of jewelry that we received. The entire process took less than a month and Steward stuck very close to the budget that we had to work with from my first ring. I can't say enough good things about my experience and I would recommend Columbus Diamond Exchange to anyone and everyone.

The things they sell are helpful to more than professional jewelers. My father, for example, is a botanist who studies mosses. He buys all of his hand lenses here (and then proceeds to wear them around his neck and continually get asked why he's wearing a whistle.) I like them for their beading cord and tool quality. This is the kind of place that is trying to keep itself a secret. THERE IS NO SIGN. Let me repeat that. THIS STORE DOES NOT HAVE A SIGN. They also keep their door locked a lot of the time, so you knock and look somewhat respectable and they let you in. (The store is located right next to the plasma donation place, and they apparently get some interesting characters in.) If you're an artist or a beader or a botanist/entomologist/etc. I highly suggest dropping in sometime. It will be worth your while.

I called them because it said here in a previous review that they do watch repair. It turns out they don't actually do watch repair, they only sell the parts. When I asked if they could recommend a repair person she asked who I was. When I told her my name she told me to just go to my local jeweler...which I'm pretty sure I could have figured out on my own, except I didn't want to do that. Well she refused to tell me of any local shops that work on watches. This must be the only business in Columbus that has more business than they know what to do with--as they sure don't seem very welcoming to new potential business.
