However, when it came time to purchase my wedding band the experience became one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I've ever had. After having issues with my wedding band multiple times, I was texting with the owner about fixing my third band. His response was, "What was discussed?" which felt extremely dismissive and frustrating, especially because I had just been in the shop explaining directly to him how unhappy I was with the ring. Unfortunately, due to the timeline and the fact that the third wedding band was still not correct, I had to get married wearing a ring that I did not love. When I picked up the second band, we discovered together that it was still not what I had requested. Finding out in the moment that the second band had been made incorrectly was both disappointing and avoidable. This should have been identified before I arrived to pick it up. I had to repeatedly advocate for myself to receive a product that matched what was originally discussed and expected. Unfortunately, that was never delivered, and I am now having my band corrected by another jeweler. The lack of accountability, and customer care is the reason I am leaving this review. Had there been any apology or genuine care towards getting my band correct, I would have continued working with the owner despite the issues. The most disappointing part was feeling like my concerns and previous conversations were repeatedly forgotten, leaving me to explain the situation and my frustrations again each time. Even after texting him explaining my frustration, he did not respond, and still I was left with no acknowledgement or apology. I then go in for a final time to drop off the second band, tell him that his lack of care and apology throughout this entire process had been extremely unprofessional. Even then, he said nothing.

Several employees were gathered at the front desk casually browsing the internet and discussing what they were looking at while I waited to be helped. The interaction felt very transactional rather than welcoming. The employee who assisted me spoke very little and showed little interest in providing friendly customer service. The employee who performed the service on my watch was similarly brief and lacked courtesy. Although I came in for a minor service rather than a significant purchase, every customer should receive the same level of professionalism and respect. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning for future purchases or services, regardless of their size.

The things they sell are helpful to more than professional jewelers. My father, for example, is a botanist who studies mosses. He buys all of his hand lenses here (and then proceeds to wear them around his neck and continually get asked why he's wearing a whistle.) I like them for their beading cord and tool quality. This is the kind of place that is trying to keep itself a secret. THERE IS NO SIGN. Let me repeat that. THIS STORE DOES NOT HAVE A SIGN. They also keep their door locked a lot of the time, so you knock and look somewhat respectable and they let you in. (The store is located right next to the plasma donation place, and they apparently get some interesting characters in.) If you're an artist or a beader or a botanist/entomologist/etc. I highly suggest dropping in sometime. It will be worth your while.

I recently bought two necklaces from a company on August 31: a gold-plated rope necklace and a…read moregold-plated "Cuban" link style necklace. When I made the purchase, I told the sales rep, who seemed disinterested from the beginning, that I needed a necklace for that night since I was from out of town. After trying both on at my hotel, I decided to wear the rope necklace because the Cuban link style was too short. Today is September 3, and I went back to the mall to return the Cuban link necklace. When I arrived, there was no one at the kiosk for about 10 minutes. Eventually, two women came and assisted me. I explained to one of them that I wanted to return the Cuban link necklace because I didn't like the length. She inspected it, processed the refund, handed me the final receipt, and I left. I then went to the food court to enjoy some pizza from Sbarro. As I was eating, the same woman who processed the return approached me aggressively, accusing me of trying to return a necklace that wasn't purchased at her store. She went on a rant, threatening to call security and accusing me of scamming a small business. She told me that she had voided my refund, claiming I was trying to pull a scam. Then as she walked off I was called a "broke a** n****". I was completely confused, feeling as though I was being punked. When I tried to respond, she stormed off. This can be verified via the cameras in the mall. I cleaned up my trash and returned to the jewelry kiosk, attempting to discuss the situation. However, the woman was still visibly upset and angry. I requested that they review the camera footage from August 31 to verify my purchase, but they refused. The sales rep who sold me the necklaces was present and claimed that she didn't remember selling them to me. Their reasoning was that the clasp on the necklace didn't match the ones they carried. I asked them to show me the clasps on other similar necklaces, and it turned out to be the same clasp. The only difference was that my clasp had a mark on it, which could have come from me trying to open it. They refused to acknowledge this possibility. Instead, I was labeled as a scammer, supposedly trying to cheat their business because others had done so in the past. They claimed the necklace looked worn, even though I had only put it on once to check it in the mirror. After reading other reviews, I realized that this kind of complaint about the necklace's color wearing off seemed common. After about seven minutes, the woman who had processed my return came back and apologized for approaching me so aggressively in the food court. Throughout this process, she and my sister exchanged words because my sister was upset about how we had been treated from the start, and rightfully so. I reiterated that I was from out of town and that I had a similar necklace back home in North Carolina. They accused me of swapping the necklaces to deceive them, I could provide names, but the woman with braids refused to give hers. I appreciated the apology, but I was still unhappy about how I had been treated. The necklace was only $120, which wasn't a big deal; I just didn't need it and was traveling back to North Carolina the next day. Ultimately, they never reviewed the footage. I left with a voided refund and no necklace, as I told them to keep it because I didn't need it. They mentioned it would just go in the trash. I've bought a necklace from them in the past without any issues, but this time was different and disappointing. Please review the footage from today September 3rd and from August 31st.
