A coworker and I stopped here for a quick bite to eat today. As many other reviewers have mentioned, the interior aesthetic is attractive and very cute. There are plenty of places to take cute Instagram pictures. However, that does not help the overall score of the rest of the experience. When we first arrived, we were instructed to review the menu at a seat-yourself station and then return to the front to place our order. There were some interesting and tasty-looking options to pick from. Unfortunately, I was a bit perplexed by the pricing on the menu versus what came up on the cash register. I ordered the Mixed Berries Crepes with Nutella ($11), and I was going to order a Strawberry Boba for $5, but instead my total was nearing $25 dollars?? The pricing did not match the menu. The cash register didn't seem very friendly. When I noticed my crepe read "Banana/Strawberry" instead of Mixed Berry. I clarified I was getting the correct order. She told me, "Yes, yes." (Spoil alert: I did not get the mixed berries but instead a Strawberry and Banana Crepe...) I paid, and then took the little marker flag with a number they give you so the waitresses can find the correct table to deliver the orders to. My coworker and I waited in the back for our orders. Although we ordered back-to-back, the orders were fulfilled at different intervals. When my order finally arrived, the waitress was looking for the right table to deliver it to. I raised my hand and said it was my order. She looked at me with scrutiny as if I were lying to her. ( What was the point of the flag marker with the number then, if you're uncertain of the order???) My crepe was pretty, but overall, it was okay in flavor and taste. It wasn't very hot, though, and was lukewarm. I would give the crepe a 3 out of 5 stars. It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't anything I'd come running back for. The staff wasn't the friendliest and seemed confused and disorganized. I would not come back here again. They gave you a number for your order for the table but when they bring out your food, they were searching by individual people by asking who ordered what. The ambiance is nice but i have allergies and mold sensitivity and my eyes started getting irradiated. The food was okay not greasy. I had the side of eggs with turkey bacon and toast. I felt my questions weren't heard correctly, very much a language barrier there. I did my best to be patient and simplify, but i felt like i was being rude in doing that, so i just settled and ordered from a picture instead of what i wanted. The coffee was fine, the croissant was good. Minimal service once you sit down and get your order. The place i wanted to go was closed.. so we settled, and Im kind of bummed it wasn't better. The bad: after ordering, our server told us that the menus were out of date and the prices had gone up. She was unable to tell us which items had gone up and by how much. I ordered a grilled cheese and my companions ordered a baked potato and a pita pizza. We all ordered specialty teas. Within 5 minutes all drinks were delivered, along with our friend's baked potato. We thought the rest of the food would be coming shortly, but no. After 15 minutes of staring at my friend's potato, my grilled cheese came out, then a server tried to bring us meals which were not ours. After 5 more minutes, the pizza was delivered. Now the baked potato is beyond cold and I really don't know why they delivered it with the drinks, as if it were an appetizer. I really didn't think anyone could get a grilled cheese wrong but this place did. A slice of semi-melted American cheese on a huge soft bun. Grilled cheese on a bun! To make it worse the bun was doughy and yeasty tasting. The hibiscus tea I ordered was so sweet my teeth hurt. I had to ask for a cup of ice to water it down. When we were ready to pay, the server came over with her little machine and started telling us the total. I said that I needed to see an itemized receipt as she had told us that the prices had gone up. The receipt included a service charge of 5% (that wasn't on the menu and that I wouldn't have known about if I had not asked for an itemized receipt. When questioned the server said it was a downtown fee and that all the restaurants downtown charge it. We ate downtown last week and there was no such fee. The worst customer service I've experienced in some time. Out of the six servers only one could communicate with us. He was the only one that spoke English. After our food was served no one came to check in with us. I called out for one of them to come over because we needed napkins. Before he came over he turned back to see if someone else could help us. When he saw that there was no one, he came to help. That was it. For the rest of our stay no one else came over to ask if we needed anything or how was everything. Nothing! On the brighter side, the food was tasty and the latte was delicious. The French toast sticks tasted like the ones we buy at the freezer section at Walmart for our kids. Despite the bad reviews, I'm actually leaving a good review considering the food I purchased. I had a large hot latte and my hubby had a large cappuccino and they were honestly pretty good. As a coffee lover, I cannot complain. My hubby also had a breakfast croissant with egg, cheese and bacon and it was actually good as well. The ambience of the place is nice. They have outside seating which makes you feel a little bit like if you were in San Juan, PR and inside, it's more of a vintage look with good music playing: Frank Sinatra. In the middle of downtown Kissimmee, Carinos Cafe is a cute little spot. The interior is very warm and the staff seem friendly. We were walking past when we saw their sign for boba and decided to try some. I ordered an avocado bubble tea but unfortunately it just wasn't that good. The drink pretty much just tasted like sugar with little to no hint of avocado. The boba was not chewy and soft like it should be. Shoestring frozen fries with a lot of Mayo, ketchup sour cream and (taste like fake) cheese whiz sauce. The chives were dried out, not even fresh and the chicken lacked seasoning. Unfortunately stumbled upon this cafe without reading reviews first, which was my first mistake. My boyfriend ordered a cappuccino, and I ordered a mango smoothie. The "fruit" smoothie is advertised as having mango and pineapple in it, but they fail to mention that it's flavored syrup, and in fact, no fruit is in it. Simply ice and syrup blended together. When handed the smoothie, it had no lid (I had to ask for one) and upon checkout, I was charged for 2 cappuccinos.... Maybe a language barrier? Discovered this little gem on a walkabout in Kissimmee. Picturesque, quaint and comfy vibes. Choosing what to try was a challenge because everything looked so good. Opted for a grilled cheese - come on! It's a classic, who can resist! Followed by strawberry, Nutella crepe - of course with whipped crème! Ohh where to begin,.. only reason this place gets 1 star is because zero is not an option, but let's start with the pros! The decor and theme is very nice and cool, I wanted so bad to have my girlfriend and I first experience there to be amazing enough to come back! But oh no no no, God forbid there's "good customer service" there to exist because who wants that right? THEY DO, clearly because from moment we got in, there's no such thing as welcoming nor greetings, we asked if it's open seating and they told us, we order at the cashier and then go to our table,.. well we got in line and as we already decided what we wanted to order, we simply glanced at menu in case we wanted something else, but they skipped us and attended the customers behind us?! Like hello we were next. Next thing we sit down outside and they brought our food 10 mins apart, and no condiments for coffee and food, had to go inside on 3 different times. Then turns out my food was the frozen special out of Publix aisle 15 fridge because it was cold!!! We brought it to their attention and no apologies nor options to resolve the issue. Just a simple "oh it's frozen? Here let me take it"... and I'm like wait , you just can't take that and not offer apologies nor options ,.. like sweeping under a rug and carry on? We then got inside and asked to speak to the mananager which to our surprise, the "kid" who skipped us from our intro to the restaurant, jumps around the wall and comes out like "Ta dah, how can I help you, im the manager?!" .. we're like say what?! Who do you report to because there's no way you're a manager, as you seem to be a character out of Harry Potter who just got his baby mustache and you're giving smart remarks stating "what do you want, I gave you a refund though?!" .. like seriously?! THATS NOT THE POINT, it's a matter of PRINCIPLE!! We expect good common customer service and for you guys to show no care in the world?! No empathy nor respect for customers. When he saw he couldn't handle our remarks, this man now comes from the back intruding in conversation. Saying "Hello how can I help you?" And we're like what who are you? And he says "I'm the manager" and we are like clearly somebody is lying here, you have clowns managin your staff and restaurant. Just simply horrendous and awful experience. Have you ever seen a boba tea with no boba? We'll, I've seen that today. That's the picture I took right before I tossed the drink in the trash unfortunately. To be fair, the staff are really nice but they can't understand what I'm ordering because they don't speak English. When I found that they have no clue what I'm asking about, I said, there has to be at least one person in this cafe who speaks English' absolutely no one speaks English. I ordered strawberry boba tea thinking that I'll get the boba at no additional charge but instead they didn't even add boba and they added 60 cents for the strawberry flavor !!! ( although it's called strawberry boba tea) And $1 for ice !!! I ended up with $7 drink that tastes terrible. If anybody explained to me how would I end up with this order, I was not gonna order it. My husband told me that I was supposed to leave the drink and not pay for it since their pricing is not reasonable but I felt bad for the workers. They were doing their best and it's not their fault that they don't speak English. So if you ever go there make sure you order a simple item on the menu, point at it for them, don't speak.
