The poor reviews are undeserved (as far as I can tell... today). [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is bright and cheery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The counter staff was welcoming, if not a bit distracted (by other co-workers). I think one of them might be new, and training. However, the food is lovely and delicious. I really enjoy food that is pretty, especially desserts! These gorgeous desserts are VERY good. My neice had the Croque Madame and she said to give this spot a 5 based on the sandwich alone!! Of you are in the mood for sweet OR savory, I say give them a try.

The food was good! Definitely enjoyed a little bit of everything, felt like it was a bit hectic with not bringing all the food out at once. Great experience but be concerned about packed service times.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very small inside but that gives it a cozy feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a great selection of savory and sweet pastries, beautifully presented, along with hot breakfast and lunch items and a great variety of coffee choices. It was hard to decide on one thing to order because everything sounded and looked so good. I went with the breakfast sandwich, a Swiss and bacon omelette inside a croissant, with fresh fruit. My mom ordered a spinach and Swiss croissant, (with the béchamel sauce on the side). I also got just one plain hot croissant for my two year old son. The food came out quickly and very fresh. The portions were HUGE! You definitely get what you pay for. I very much enjoyed my entire breakfast. My mom said hers was delicious and didn't need the béchamel (I'm glad I tried it because I wasn't a fan of the sauce either). The omelette was a bit dry, and could have used a bit more bacon. The croissant was the start of the show for sure. I had a bite of my son's plain croissant and next time I'll just get that. By far the best croissant I've had anywhere in town. I ordered a lavender latte as well and thought it was delicious. I'd ask for a bit less sweetness next time but still a wonderful drink. I'd love to try some of the pasties next time!

5 Stars for pastries that WOW. I was recently gifted a box of assorted patisseries by a friend and immediately texted her after opening the box to ask where she got these. The box had a pear pastry, blueberry, lemon merengue, and what I think was an apricot pastry. My hubby and I split them all up, thinking they'd last a few days. LOL We were wrong. We finished them in one sitting. We each had different favorites, but the blueberry and lemon were top of my list. What I most appreciated was that these were not overly sweet. They reminded me of pastries I've gotten in Europe, where the palette is more subtle. Overall a big fan!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]In short, horrible ambiance, bad service and bad & missing foods & drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was horrible, they weren't rude, but not accommodating either. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was horrible and it was so hot, although it's t summer it was literally cooler outside than it was inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As for the food, we ordered drinks and food, the only thing that arrived is stuff from the kitchen (vegetarian crepe with home fries) and the dessert. Which the fries were stale but the crepe wasn't too bad, and properly filled. As for the rest of the food & drinks that never arrived, when I first asked about literally almost the entire order missing (minus the crepe and dessert), he & he knew who messed up, he literally left me to deal with the restaurant drama in the kitchen, like I had to wait for my issues to be addressed. I received the baked items to-go, the drinks were refunded; and yes, they received the tip on the full bill during the ordering process (above 20%). My friends, family and I ended up going to another restaurant to have breakfast and thankfully we received everything we ordered there.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice and comfy French Cafe with indoor and outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Pastry options are plenty and all look authentic. The croissant is tasty and passed the honey comb test. The fruit crêpe is good, but would be nice with Chantilly. It's a little blend.

Absolutely delicious! One of my most fav pastries in town! I love the amount of stuffing in pastries and the consistency - always the same, never overcooked. Perfection! Highly recommended

Thank you My French Cafe! It was such a gift to be able to grab a delicious pastry and a Quiche before Hurricane Milton. The apple strudel was the delicious , not too sweet and moist! Each bite of the Quiche Lorraine transported me to Paris in my mind ( far far away from this upcoming hurricane ). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Father and daughter working speaking French to everyone definitely helped lighten the mood as well![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I was really looking forward to my croissant eggs Benedict, but it ended up being a disappointment. Instead of the perfectly poached eggs I expected, they were more like boiled eggs. I've never understood why a cook or chef would serve an eggs Benedict that isn't properly prepared. I thought about sending it back but didn't want to waste food. Maybe next time, I'll just stick to the pastries.

Nice pastry selection and Julius Meinl coffee! Nice break from the ordinary. Nutella eclair was ample and tasty if not surprisingly sweet. Latte in a real cup was good. Look forward to trying the savory items. Thumbs up and would return.

Wow! I can't believe this was my first time here. We now plan on visiting often. The food was out of this world delicious but even more importantly the service was unlike anything I've seen in a long time. The owner visited every table to chat for a while. He's witty, personable and overall lovely to be around. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What a fun, engaging atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] See you all very soon.

I love their egg sandwiches and coffee. This will be my go to breakfast place from now on. Staff and very welcoming and warm. Service is fantastic. Their cappuccinos and Nutella lattes are amazing! The croissants are chewy, flaky and buttery, so good. The tiramisu was really good, I loved the taste of the vanilla custard vs mascarpone, it had a very good balance and not too sweet. The vanilla flan was not great, I love flan but this one tasted more vanilla pudding rather than custard. I wasn't a fan of the thick pudding skin on the vanilla flan. The Nutella eclairs are amazing. The ambiance is casual and I loved the warm colors and the cute French bakery vibe. I can't wait to come back again and try

I like that they were able to warm up the croissant and it was delicious! Nice and flaky! I got the 8oz latte and got it with soy milk. It may be the soy milk but it wasn't as good... maybe it needs to be with oat milk.. You can choose to have the drink in a to-go cup or they would put it in a mug for you. The vegan bar was really good! Honestly I didn't know what to expect.. Environment This was in the main street with street parking available, there are also a couple of standing tables inside and seating outside. Niceness of the staff Super friendly staff. The shop is also super cute and the items came out quickly despite there having been a decent sized order ahead of me. Although the area could present parking problems I had no difficultly finding street parking on a Saturday morning and I believe there is also a parking lot behind the building. The chair cushions looked like they could use a cleaning but otherwise the place is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating, so there's room for slightly larger groups.

He even offered to slice the load of German bread, which I hadn't thought to ask. Great service. We ordered two almond croissants, a plain croissant, two cheese buns, a German bread, and a mini baguette. Everything tasted so good. Each item was wrapped separately and we were given three paper bags. The croissant was just like the ones we have had in France. It was crispy outside and so soft inside. The almond croissants had just the perfect amount of filling and topping. The cheese buns tasted so fresh and soft. We ended up returning a few days later. The lady who helped us this time didn't appear for some time. We stood alone in the front of the store for several minutes. She had us repeat our order three times, and again as she was throwing everything into one bag. It was such a different experience than our first visit. The almond topping got all over the cheese buns and plain croissant due to her jamming all six items into one bag. Fortunately, it was all still good, just a little weird to have the flavours all mixed together in such a way. Had that been our first experience, we may have not returned.

This has been on my must-try list every time we've visited Disney Springs, but the line is usually…read more30-45 minutes long. I've always wondered if these cookies could really be that good. After finally trying them...I'd say they're absolutely worth the wait. Luckily, we stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon and only waited about five minutes. It was scorching hot outside, but they have umbrellas every few feet along the line, which definitely helps. I had always imagined walking into a large bakery or café where you could sit down with a cookie and coffee. Instead, it's actually a tiny, dark, whimsical shop with a queue that wraps around to the displays. It almost feels like you're walking through a Harry Potter-inspired attraction with its gothic décor and old-world bakery vibe. Despite the small space, they have three checkout registers, so once you're inside, the line moves surprisingly fast. One tip for first-time visitors: don't rely on the cookie menu on the website. Many of those flavors are seasonal or limited editions. The menu card they hand you while you're waiting in line shows the flavors available that day, so decide what you want before you get to the register because ordering is pretty quick. Now for the cookies... Banana Bread Chocolate Chip - 20/10 Without question, the standout. It tasted like warm, homemade banana bread with added chocolate transformed into a giant cookie. Soft, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. I would come back just for this cookie. Pistachio Toffee Chocolate Chip - 8/10 A delicious combination of sweet, salty, crunchy, and gooey. I can definitely see why it's one of their most popular flavors, but the banana bread still stole the show for me. Cookies & Cream - 5/10 It was just okay. Very rich and sweet, like a giant Oreo cookie but it didn't have the depth of flavor or uniqueness of the other two. I probably wouldn't order it again. The cookies are huge and easily shareable. The funniest part? My son bought an extra cookie to take home for his girlfriend...but after one bite, he decided to keep it for himself! And that's saying something because he's really into health and fitness and rarely eats sweets. If you're wondering whether Gideon's lives up to the hype, I'd say yes. The wait is worth it, and the Banana Bread Chocolate Chip completely stole the show. It's the cookie I'll be thinking about long after this trip.

The outside looks like the entrance to a haunted ride and the line to enter confirms it. The inside is decorated super gothic feeling like an old edger Allan Poe poem. Speaking of which, all the old books aren't for show. These are actually aged real readable books, some probably worth quite a bit. There is an actual authentic 1829 "Works of Edger Allan Poe" book right at the counter. Expensive. The cookies are large thick and filling. Not to sugary at all. We had pistachio, cookies and cream, banana chocolate chip and peanut butter chocolate chip. Now here's the thing. They are great cookies cause the flavor isn't just a cup of sugar and some dough. You can taste the flavors and they work. But don't expect an explosion in your mouth. It's obvious they are going for real flavors that allow their own sweetness to shine. Here is the best thing to do. Cut your cookies in half and share amongst friends, or if your big backing have it all. BUT I refrigerated them over night and had one after a minute in the microwave and another cold straight out of the refrigerator and WOW! It took a very good cookie to something spectacular. The flavors just POP! I don't know what which-craft is involved in this but the spell definitely works. Find Gideon's, make the line and get a mix of cookies and a few slices of cake and head home for some Netflix and dessert!
