I was disappointed w my visit to Vanessa's Coffee Shop in Kissimmee. We ordered 2 lattes & a salad to share. Both lattes were served cold. They were out of fresh avocado & substituted guac instead. At the register, the cashier initially gave me $5 less in change than I was owed. I had to point it out to receive the correct amount. I also noticed a 5% service charge, even though this is a counter-service rest. When our salad arrived, we had to ask for the extra plate we had already requested. Then we found a long black hair in the salad. Not ours as my aunt & I both have blonde hair. So we stopped eating immediately. The restrooms were also dirty, including the toilets & walls. I spent about $30 on one salad & 2 cold lattes. I've had much better experiences at the St. Cloud location, but based on this visit, I won't be returning to this one. read more

Deserves a triple wow!! Large portions (check out the pictures), relatively quick cooking service (can place order in your phone from the table as there are no waitresses coming to the table...half our group were swifties and ordered before a large group came in...the rest of us slow decision makers ended up waiting almost 35 minutes for our food...while our guests were done and watching us!! So order swiftly! Hahaha. Plating (food presentation) is very important and they get 5+ stars for presentation...check out the pictures. The pancakes were thick and melt in the mouth fluffy and delicious. It would have been great to have real bottled maple syrup and not the small Togo packages...but they sufficed. While it tasted pretty good, the Omelette was made differently and more like a folded over taco with the contents sprinkled inside soooooo it tended to fall apart with each fork full and that was annoying but I finished it all soooooo tasted good. The smoothie was impressive and not too sweet, nicely frozen, and hit the spot. The strawberry and the cinnamon bun pancakes were true to their name and quite phenomenal. I had a latte to close out the meal and it was one of the best lattes I have tasted...I did not even have to add sweetener! Next time, I'll try the hot chocolate. I did not seem any bottomless coffee offerings...drats. Nice space with open grab your own table seating and lots of large windows to let in plenty of light. They definitely don't want you to stay too long because even with my well cushioned derrière, the metal retro chair was pretty uncomfortable. The only two bathrooms were spacious (good handicap accessibility) and immaculate especially with the long line and number of people using it AND most importantly they had a diaper changing table...I am always amazed at the number of establishments that don't have changing tables...and so I always check. It was nice to visit a local non-chain breakfast place. We were a party of 8, ordered a lot (it is pricey so keep that in mind!as you are tempted to order everything on the menu), and were over-full and satisfied when we left. The restaurant feels overpriced for what it offers. For the price you're paying, the quality of the condiments and overall presentation is closer to a cafeteria than a full dining experience. While the ambiance is pleasant and the space itself looks nice, the lack of finishing touches really takes away from it. Small details--like being served with plastic forks and syrup in plastic cups--diminish the overall experience and make it feel less refined than expected. I wanna start by saying this service was excellent. I was greeted immediately upon entry and the business is absolutely beautiful inside. I ordered a literally perfect chai latte. Great flavor perfect temperature, the cinnamon was the little "kick" to top it off. As for the cream cheese-filled French toast the best part was the whipped cream and fruit on top. The French toast itself was a bit dry even with the cream cheese inside. It was denseso you needed a syrup or something else to add moisture. I first visited the Lake Nona location and was honestly impressed -- the food and overall experience were excellent. Since we were in the area, we decided to stop by Vanessa's again, expecting a similar experience based on that first visit. Unfortunately, this location didn't live up to it. The food didn't taste the same, and my Mayorca bread was toasted/press, which was unexpected and not how it's typically served. While the ambiance was nice, the overall experience just didn't feel the same. On a positive note, the cashier who greeted us was great. However, we were surprised to receive plastic silverware and containers, which made it feel more like a takeout experience rather than dining in at a restaurant. For the price point--slightly higher than we remembered--we expected a better presentation and consistency. We had our book club meeting here over the weekend. I've been to Vanessa's before but, a different location . The ordering is done thru the QR Code which is on the tables or you can simply go up to the counter & order. The ambiance was busy but people seem to eat quickly & leave. The customer service was great & the food came out quickly but at different times. My coffee came out first then my food . I decided on the an iced coffee with Coquito cold foam & for my food I decided on the chicken Avocado BLT sandwich which came with chips. I ate 1/2 my sandwich & took the rest to go . This place is a MUST! The shop has the most amazing atmosphere and vibes! It is nice and cozy and warm inside with many tables to sit at and use for work. But read to the end because I also have very valuable good reasons to make this an eatery of choice. You place your order with a cashier attendant and then you wait till they call your name and you have to pick up at a side counter. To add, no silverware!! But plastic forks and knives in a wrapper. To add to the insult, you have to collect your dirty plates and garbage and take it to a remote area at the back of the restaurant and dump it yourself. You would think that with all this self service it would afford for the prices to be reasonable. It is not cheap. I've been to less appealing places where food is not so good, fresh nor unique and had the courtesy of being waited on, and given silverware. PROS: DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! Amazing tasting stuffed guavas and cheese French toast. Amazing smoked salmon on arugula, avocado, cherry tomatoes with an egg on top!! Matcha iced latte is delicious and so is the lavender foam latte. Subtle devotional ambiance. This place has a nice hustle and bustle vibe. Tables are first come first serve and you can either order at the front or scan the QR code on the table. The sunrise tacos were delicious. I like heat in my food so I added Tabasco and bit of pepper to enhance the flavors. Salsa is mild too so would recommend Tabasco as well. Matcha was waaayyy too sweet for my liking. I have visited their franchise in Lake Nona and just as before it was delicious ! Great spot next to the New upcoming gym EOS. Most people don't want to be drawn into this amazing breakfast/brunch spot, but great place to carb up after a great workout! Really enjoyed their amazing menu choices and items. Personally ordered the strawberry pancakes and it was delicious ! Ton of food to eat and had theta with a southwestern omelette. Delicious , sweet, savory, and overall tasty. It can be a little on the expensive side and the wait times can fluctuate , but you do get fresh and hot food off the grill and stove! Customer Service - Unfortunately the customer service was very disappointing. As a newcomer from Miami I had several questions and the staff seemed tired, inconvenienced, and uninterested in helping. They weren't rude but it felt like they just didn't care which made the experience frustrating because attentive service is such a crucial part of a visit. Cleanliness - Cleanliness was poor. Every table I noticed was dirty and I had to ask someone to clean mine. For the price point this level of attention to hygiene is unacceptable. Food - The food was generally delicious with great presentation. The Happy Morning Breakfast is a standout. It combines French toast with fruit and a hearty omelette which is perfect if you want the best of both worlds. Bagel or croissant sandwiches are solid options. A few notes the turkey deli meat was very salty and unappetizing so I would skip that. The coffee was overly milky even with a triple shot espresso but if you like it that way it is fine. I also loved the variety of syrup options. Overall: Overall I would give this place three stars. The food is tasty and visually appealing but poor service, messy tables and slightly high prices make it hard to justify a return visit. Been here before and had a decent enough time but this last visit we were really disappointed and will probably not be returning. They were busy (fair) but overly expensive for what you are given especially when charging $1 per syrup or milk. This I could dismiss as the usual Orlando area issues but upon ordering the Avocado Toast at the register, the cashier asked how we would like our eggs and what meat we wanted. Both my partner and I were confused as I hadn't needed either and asked if they came with it. She said yes. I am a vegetarian so we asked for bacon on the side to put with my partners meal and over easy eggs. Little did we know both of these things were upcharges! I would have definitely gone without if I knew. When the food came out the bacon was shredded and placed all over the toast (which when we complained they said this is how it is always prepared). I am very grateful that they remade it so I could eat and the food was fine but overall a negative, predatory experience that could have been solved with better communication from the employees. read more

You know when you come over to someones house, and they hand-cook you a meal for you but the moment it touches your tongue, you call immediately tell they cook with pre-made/instant/canned ingredients? Yeah, it's bareable to eat but disappointing, ESPECALLY For the amount youre Gonna pay. (though the French toast was decent after they reheated it for me in the microwave because it got to me cold ) BUT THE COFFEE IS GOOD. Don't recommend the food, just the coffee. The shop has a very cute setup for the customers to relax in and enjoy the ambience, there is even a little make- it- yourself- bouquet flower stand. The raw vanilla iced latte is my go-to! It's soooo good! Every single sip tastes like the first. I get it mainly with almond milk and it still tastes delicious and creamy.
