His nephew, Dr. Alex Kuley, joined the practice a few years ago. The small practice treats patients as individuals while being on top of the latest procedures in eye surgery. I am a retired physician. I appreciate their approach and have sent many family members and friends to them. My husband sees them. (He has no eye problems other than needing reading glasses.) Things were pretty good for years but something changed and they now only care about getting more money out of you. Dr Blair has never been very good at listening and comes off as condescending at times. They tried to get me to pay a few hundred dollars more for some different brand contact lenses even though my insurance pays 100% for my medically necessary contacts. I said NO and they weren't happy about that but they said fine. I did continue going back for a few years and every year the doctor kept trying to tell me that they were going to be discontinuing the contacts I have been getting and I will have to get the more expensive ones. I am in a Facebook group for scleral lenses and there are several eye DR.'s in the group that said they absolutely are NOT discontinuing them. I just don't trust a doctor that lies to me. I found a new eye doctor and have better vision than I ever had with Dr. Blair. My new eye doctor has had several patients that switch from Dr. Blair and she said they have all had experiences similar to mine with Dr. Blair and his office. If you are looking for a new eye doctor, keep looking. There are better alternatives out there. My new eye doc is Dr. Kristin Gunn at Opticare in Fort Mitchel KY and she is fantastic.

Upon check in, the I asked about what glasses to check with the special they had. Every frame I picked up I couldn't even see myself in the mirror they were so dirty. Then I was approached asking if I was the person they were calling next which I was not. Then I approached the desk to verify I was looking at the right glasses for the special the woman asked me again if I was the person they were calling I again told her no. She then said it was me but the first name was nowhere close to mine. Next we went back into the initial exam room and she was checking me in and my information was linked to someone who lived out of state. When I expressed my concern she got up and got someone else to come in. this next person came in and was very condescending and reaching across the girls back to use her mouse. I think started hippa and fraud then she got in my opinion got defensive and said no we don't share information. With that being said I asked how my information that I put in the computer myself was linked to this other person? She said it was the company who inputs the information in for them. I told her it was fraudulent and against hippa she told me it was not. The next person came in thinking maybe this was the eye doctor and she told the original girl helping me and told her just to do a paper chart. I was not comfortable with this solution since the information associated with my last name and date of birth were not mine. I ended up leaving and express how the second girl was speaking to me and the original worker very condescending. this place is a total joke. Very heavy on glass and china. Thin on unique items. Prices variable but dealers seemed flexible.

The people there care about you, so you're more than a number. Today, I picked up lens for frames I already had (originally from America's Best). There was a glitch with the type I had. Chris showed it to me and explained how he was going to take care of it. He and Stacey were working on my glasses and when customers came in, they made sure to attend to them right away, while the other worked continuously on my glasses. That's the service I'm talking about. Service you really don't get any more from any store. I want to personally thank, Chris, Stacey, Cameron and the receptionist (I'm so sorry I didn't get her name) for always treating their customers with courtesy, a smile, professionalism and respect. I have everything I do recorded as well as Michelle and Ra'Niece because they had on Rayban recorded frames. So there can be no dispute on what transpired. I apologized ahead of the conversation with Ra'Niece before we spoke because I was frustrated because I knew last year I did not pay for the replacement I had in 2025. She did show me a receipt from 2024 when I did pay the 25$ and I told her thanks but I just wanted transparency and honesty that they have never shown me that the 35$ protection plan I purchased came with a 25$ fee to replace lenses. Once Ra'Niece finally confirmed that to me it was fine until I said that she doesn't have to be so hostile. I don't know if it's because she is going through something in her life but you should not attack a customer with a hostile demeanor especially if I said it's fine and there is no need for hostility when I have calmed down. She should always remain professional. All she had to do is apologize and I wouldn't have to write this review. It was difficult to get the spelling of her name. The main reason she was getting mad was because they said that Michelle wasn't there but she was but on break. That's fine. Just say that. Don't lie about her not being there. Jessica as sweet as she is apologized and I felt safe working with her instead of Ra'Niece. I shouldn't have to feel like I'm about to be punched by a Lenscrafter employee because her mental state isn't well at the moment. Then to make things worse she was aggressive with another customer who walked in and then as I was speaking to Jessica, Ra'Niece tells across the room where she is helping an elderly man with his glasses, "Stop saying my name!" Yeah that was a lot. It's all recorded so I'm not concerned about the management possibly trying to cover their tracks. People protect yourselves when visiting this location. Record at all times because they can try to manipulate the situation. Especially being a black woman. We are always "angry". Just be cautious is all. Hopefully this helps.
