My last dentist was wonderful, but stopped taking my insurance, so I switched to Carlsbad Smile Studio. What a blessing!. Not only did I get a phenomenal cleaning from Paige, but the doctor and Paige worked together to make sure my teeth are well cared for long term. I also love the natural products they use and the training they gave me on how to holistically take better care of my teeth. The spirit of excellence, joy, and gratitude shines at this dental office in everyone, from the front office staff to my hygienist to the dentist. Hallelujah! I found an even better way to care for my teeth, and they even take my insurance! I'm so thankful! Now that I have had two crowns I want to continue to sing the praises of my new dentist, Dr. Minter and her assistant, Jenna. In the last six months, I have had to have two crowns. One was on a bottom tooth where the former crown had to be removed, and the other was a top tooth where a crown had to be placed. I have never felt so cared for by a dentist. Jenna continually put Vitamin E oil on my lips, especially on the corners because they have cracked and bled from past dental work. Not only that, Jenna met me with a hot neck wrap that instantly put me at ease and relaxed my body. Of course, the proof of a phenomenal dentist is her skill level and my pain level. Dr. Minter exceeded all my expectations in every way. At the end of both treatments, I did not feel fatigued or weary from the process, and my two new crowns are flawless in every way. Surprisingly, my pain level was almost. nonexistent for dental work. There is a spirit of excellence, benevolence, and compassion in Dr. Minter's office. I felt it from the moment I ambled in from the smiling and helpful front counter workers, to Jenna who met all my needs. Great dentist and dental staff... I really like the homeopathic approach... I like to use the natural toothpaste and mouthwash and other things that they offer in order to keep my mouth & teeth healthy. I like that they are very detail oriented, do a thorough cleaning job, make sure that I know of any changes that are going on with my teeth, give advice on how to care for my teeth better & use natural anesthetics & products... So, when I recently had to get some dental work done, they used alternative therapies to keep me calm and it worked well :-) read more

We recently came to this dentist office for the first time since our regular holistic dentist is still closed due to covid (why tho?) Thankfully we found this office which is even closer and actually takes insurance ! I was so impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of ALL the staff. They even took samples of the tartar on my kids teeth and showed them under a microscope all of the bacteria and "bugs" which is awesome cause now they want to brush more! Dr Minter and her team are the greatest!! I've been to many dentists and Dr Minter is the best dentist I've ever been to! My appointment was for a broken tooth. I was hoping that the tooth could be saved with a crown. Dr Minter and Marcy listened to my past experiences/issues with amalgam filling removal (which would be necessary on this tooth). I was given oxygen, a rubber dam was used to isolate my tooth, and special instruments were used for the removal. They were so caring and gentle throughout whole procedure! They made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I left with the filling gone and a crown on the tooth. I'm going to make additional appointments to remove all of my amalgam fillings. I purchased the Membership Plan and it saved me money on this first visit. I plan to purchase a Membership Plan for all of my family members. After learning Dr. Minter took over this practice, I was hopeful to see her and obtain the dental care I needed. I had a couple of questions first and the receptionist couldn't answer my questions, so she said I could email them and Dr. Minter would get back to me. I emailed them three times and called back again a couple of times, but I NEVER heard from Dr. Minter. I'm very disappointed that either she does not care to return the call or email of a potential new patient or the office is so disorganized that emails to the office's main email aren't getting to the dentist/owner. There's another dentist listed on her website, but when I asked the receptionist about him, the response was short and dismissive in telling me that that dentist isn't there, as if I was talking crazy. It says it on the website. Overall, this appears to be an unprofessional and uncaring dental practice. read more

The hygienists put you at ease and Dr. Minter might be the most fun, yet professional dentist I have ever encountered! Great holistic dentist. I had been looking for a dentist who does not recommend unneeded treatments. He seems like one of the few honest dentist who recommends what you need. He believes that you can heal your teeth and gums in many cases. His products are also great. I've referred many people to him who have had negative experiences elsewhere. I have only the most wonderful things to say about Dr. Lawrence. He is honest and trustworthy and does a careful job. His staff is wonderful. I appreciate the fact that he takes a holistic approach toward dentistry. Flora does a great job cleaning and so does the other dental tech (whose name I cannot recall).
