I called one night in advance and scheduled a pickup in San Marcos, since I expected the driver to be late I called in a few minutes before the time I had to leave. The driver was on time and waited for me while I had to complete the paperwork. Then he waited for me when I arrived at my destination to brought me back again to San Marcos where I had to work. The driver was very friendly and the fare wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I would not hesitate to call them up again if I needed them. Only complaint is that it's very expensive.

I told him it's on Topeka ave. He said the cab would be there in 15 or 20 minutes. 20 minutes later I called back and a woman answered. She demanded my "account number" and the address. She said that she had no reservation for me. I said I'd just spoken to a guy who said he'd send me a cab. She said, that's Dispatch, I'm Reservations. I said ok, connect me to Dispatch. She said "They don't take calls." I said I just talked to the guy. This went on for a while but it was no use. She insisted there was no reservation for my cab. I started walking. A few minutes later I get a call that my cab is there. I walk back half a block to the transit center. There's no cab there. It is not possible for any business to operate with this level of incompetence and outright contempt for their customers.

The trip itself was very sketch to say the least. The vehicle (older model Suburban) was in need of some major maintenance, running with a spare tire in one slot and the shocks were obviously shot. Except I made a mistake with the original pick up time. I put 2:45 AM vs PM. My fault. I had a very hard time getting ahold of anyone. (Email on website didn't work) calling they told me to email this was 15 minutes or less after booking. Finally I called the next morning and got someone. Luckily they were able to change it for me. Skip to day of arrival. Of course our connecting flight was delayed. I messaged city captain to let them know we were going to be later than expected. Our original driver still showed up at the normal time and asked where we were. I told them that I contacted the company and the rescheduled for A little later. He told me to call him when we were out of baggage claim. In the meantime, I got a message that a different driver was on their way to pick us up at the new anticipated time. I let them know our original driver was waiting for us. I didn't hear anything back, so I Joe they cancelled that driver. We finally got picked up and dropped off at our hotel. Phew! The driver was super friendly and understanding when we apologized about the situation. Fast forward to scheduled pick up from hotel to be take to the airport at 4 Am. I was texted at 3:30 that our driver was on the way. I stood outside of the hotel until 4:05 when I called and said "hey we were supposed to be picked up at 4 and our driver isn't here" I don't think they remembered. You could see their car on the map that was not driving. Shortly after my call it started moving. 20 minutes late our driver showed up. Luckily we were able To navigate through the airport quickly to make our flight. I am not sure if these issues are normal? We have scheduled Ubers before at 4 AM and have never had an issue. So It's weird that with a premium car service this would happen. I don't know. Everyone we had Contact with was friendly though.

He was prepared for our needs related to luggage and timing for our international flight. We had arranged for pickup on our return to San Diego. Again, Rudy was right there as we stepped up to the curb, totally prepared as before. This is best way to manage airport travel - so much more convenient and personal than other travel options; and also, more economical. Certainly beats trying to park near the airport and deal with shuttles. Perfect transportation option! We'll be using Rudy's assistance in the future.

Outside Vegas I have never really used a taxi for anything until the last couple years…read more So I'm going to a Holiday party in the Oceanside Harbor and I think to myself "Self, there's no GOOD reason to drive to this party" so I call Coastal Cab. Jessie arrives at my house so quickly I had to choke down the last of my cocktail and fly down the stairs. The Town Car is clean, smells good and rides like a champ. We make chit chat and I find out he lives local and is just a call away. We call after the party and he's back in less than 15 minutes.. Happy night! No driving, no DUI checkpoints... WINNER! I've used Coastal several times since. My friends cab over and cab it home.. Jessie has never taken longer than 10 minutes to arrive. Couple at the other end of the sushi bar too drunk....
