Mike has always been honest with us about what we really needed...not what he wanted to sell us! When we needed emergency AC repair he showed up withing a couple hours and had the part we needed. He advised us that our unit would need to replaced in the future and discussed with us in detail what our options were. He also gave us a great price estimate and a year later still honored that estimate! On the day of the installation he and his son were right on time, very professional and did a great job installing the new unit. New Freon lines were required, which took a little maneuvering but they made it look easy. Because It turned out to be a very cool day he scheduled a time and came back on a warmer day to test and check that everything worked as it should. Both Mike and his son answered all our questions and gave us all instructions we needed for our new unit and thermostat. I have been Extremely pleased with the service we have received and very much appreciate that there are independent businessmen like Mike in our community! HVAC is an industry loaded with dishonest companies and technicians. Mike has been faithful to helping me out with our residential and commercial buildings. Reasonable, honest and not a price gouger. We've used Mike for over six years on our properties, and I have never had a problem with Mike and tenants. He is always professional. Our business relationship started when Mike showed up to our apartment building and identified the odd HVAC unit in it that only a handful of independent to midsize cos handled. Mike doesn't handle these, but he knew what they were, gave me some history on them, including common problems and how to avoid it. That helped me stop the revolving door of service providers who showed up, then said they couldn't service them, and left a bill. Mike never charged me for the trip. read more

Mike Carlson came out to our home on a Saturday morning in the middle of a hot summer day because our AC was blowing warm air instead of cold... I feared that our home (20 years old) was going to need the AC unit to be completely replaced. Mike came out and spent 5 minutes diagnosing the problem and was able to replace the capacitor at a reasonable price. He told me that it would allow me to get another 2-3 years out of the AC unit rather than telling me I needed to buy a new AC from him and have it installed. Now I have been saving each month to have the money ready when it needs to be replaced. When it does go out, he will be the one I will call to replace it when the time comes. Mike has been available for several services calls, I trust his honest diagnosis. Mike was able to replace a furnace in my rental unit on 1/25 after it stoped working. My furnaces igniter went out, I replaced it myself; it went out again less than 24 hours later. Called Carlson, they were at my house quickly, charged a very competitive rate. Best of all the furnace is still working great! I'll be calling Carlson next time I have an HVAC issue. read more

Do yourself a favor and call these guys first. After several issues with my furnace I called Mike and he was beyond helpful and for a very reasonable price he ended up replacing my furnace in a timely manner. I would give these guys 6 stars if I could. Very happy customer. read more

I enjoyed that through the service call he had no issue discussing what he was doing and any concerns I had with my system. We identified a couple of things that may have been out of calibration for years before I ever bought this place. He dialed them back in and it may save me money! Jason is a new businessman who has invested in his education for this industry and invested in the proper tools to get the job done right. My main complaint was my smoke detectors were all chirping and they're up so high I couldn't access them. Matt came to check them out and figured the issues out quickly. He also took the time to locate some other issues with my exterior electrical. Our light poles had no power to them over the past 5 years. Two other electricians have come over the past few years and could not figure this out. Matt and Chance figured this out within an hour. They also got an exterior camera working that has never worked (since the last electrician put it up.) Not only that, weve had some issues with mice coming in though the lines to our electrical boxes. He took the time to seal it from the inside so they cant get back in.
