Lost heat Sunday after Thanksgiving and called 4 different HVAC services to diagnose problem. Assured was only one that responded. Jason with Assured stopped out and discovered our computer board on our 22 year old furnace was not working. He tried to get furnace running again and even went back to his shop to find a donor board. After discussing the age and shape of furnace it made sense to replace. Assured showed up Monday morning at 7:00am removed old furnace and installed new high efficiency furnace. Crew did a fantastic job, super clean and respectful of our home. A new A/C unit, new duct work, new returns, new thermostat all great quality (Lennox), and my house has never felt this cool. New returns in rooms that had always run hot; now I walk into those rooms and they are just as cool as the rest of the house. Jason was honest, reasonably priced, and I checked around...best prices and he will look at your house and give you his honest opinion about what your system needs to be the most cost effective and energy saving...no pressure, no shifting on price...he even told us how we could save money! Assured Appliance performed work on both of my HVAC units at my building. They were sent by the GC who had completed the renovation of our property. The first time they worked on the building I had little interaction with them since the GC was still on the property completing work. This was in the summer of 2017. They replaced the compressor on the downstairs AC because it was vibrating loudly. The unit did not get a lot of use that year so for all intents and purposes, we assumed it was fixed. In December of 2017 our heat for our upstairs unit went out. The GC sent Jason. Jason started pulling parts out of the unit all the while talking about how dirty it was and how he hates Carrier (both our units were Carrier). After fiddling with it for a few hours, he put everything back and it appeared to be working. A few days later, it shut off again. This entire time it was flashing an error code which I mentioned at the very first trip out here. When it failed again and I called Jason, he said that he had been on a phone call when he was here last and he didn't hear me when I was telling him that it was throwing a code. Let me repeat that again: When Jason was here, he had a bluetooth headset on that I of course did not think was being utilized to be on a phone call while he was also talking to me. Now I know he wasn't actually listening or talking to me, he was talking to and listening to someone else completely unrelated to my service call. Jason decided to replace the heat exchanger which was covered by warranty but of course still allowed for plenty of labor charges. When his guys came to install the heat exchangers, the problem still existed so they ended up removing the entire A frame. Again..I don't think they had any real idea what the problem was as Jason repeatedly told me that he typically works on Lennox and Carrier is bad. After hounding Jason to return the A coil and get our AC working, he came out on February of 2017 but told me he would not be able to charge the AC until the weather changed. Flash forward to May 4th when he came to charge the AC and also performed a preventative check on both units which he said "checked out ok". A few weeks later, the downstairs unit wasn't getting cold despite having JUST been checked out by Jason. Jason returns and has no clue what the problem is. He insists that I need more vents added to my equipment. Instead of doing this, I called an authorized Carrier servicer (Deljo Heating and Cooling) who immediately...literally immediately diagnosed the issue which was a faulty TXV coil. This can become damaged if the copper lines are cut and not braised in with nitrogen. Turns out this is exactly the part that Jason had to remove from both HVACs when he was servicing them. Deljo checked the upstairs unit and sure enough that had the exact same issue. All in all it cost me over $5,000 to correct Jason's work. He took zero responsibility and I am currently in the process of trying to collect this money from him. I would never recommend Jason or his employees to anyone. He initially was responsive and seemed capable but over my four or five months of communication with him I became extremely uncomfortable and wary of his behavior. He swore at me, had his employee refuse to leave my property and loom over me until I paid him, and appeared at times to be very twitchy and grinding his jaw. read more

To confirm Michelle's sense of this worker, I also noticed that it seemed as if he was yelling at me the first time he came out and then I had to wait around a couple of times when he did not show up. I only stuck with the company because I had already paid them $90 to have a look. Then due to poor communication (?) I ended up spending about twice as much as I expected. The first estimate was 400 for a motor, and then when he came back, he asked do you want to replace the motor, and I said yes. When I get the bill, it turns out he's replaced two motors. Jason explained what he did and fixed another issue that made sense. I am hoping the work was done well but just communicated poorly. We'll see. read more

I have bought a refrigerator from his shop which I was impressed of his selection of refrigerators,washing machines, dryers and stoves if I need any more appliances his shop is the place to go. read more

About a year ago, my elderly mother decided to have her furnace tuned up because of an ad in the newspaper by Assured. The furnace was working fine at the time, but a worker from Assured told her she needed a new blower motor and ingniter. These new items were installed, but the furnace then failed because the circuit board fried. She was then talked into installing a new furnace, rather than repair what was damaged. This was not a good idea since the furnace was only 18 years old and she was planning on selling her home soon. The new furnace was installed for a very high price of $5,500. (I had a new high-efficiency furnace installed in my own home several years ago for $2500.) We also found out recently that the humidifier which is hooked up to the furnace was not working, and had to call in a repairman to fix it. I have called Assured several times to try to negotiate a settlement, but have never received a call back. We strongly feel that this company has taken advantage of my elderly mother in a fraudulent way! read more

This company was quick to sell me a new HVAC system. They had it installed in one day but had to return to fix the next day as the crew did not wire the new thermostat correctly. Woke up cold that morning. Then, I had another minor repair on an air vent. Called several times before they finally answered. I made an appointment and they never showed up and never called that they could not come. I tried to reach them half dozen times that day and left a message. I received no response. Very, very disappointed in this company. read more

He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, shared wealth of knowledge and had system up and running quickly. We hand an AC unit that hadn't worked for several years and was written off by another HVAC company. Jason came out and did some trouble shooting and repaired the unit. He was professional and was determined to get the unit working. While he was working he pointed out an issue with my furnace exchanger that I was aware of the other HVAC company wrote the furnace off also. Jason knows that the heat exchanger had a warranty and is ordering the part and replacing it for the cost of labor only. Great guy and very pleasant to deal with. read more
