Yelp gave me five suggestions when I asked for a car wash to be done at home. Of the five, only two responded, one being Steve at Carluv. Of the two, Steve was the most communicative by sending me recent photos of a car he cleaned, his prices and explanation of services. Obviously, I went with Steve. I had told Steve upon arrival to park in the driveway for close access to my car at the end of the driveway by the garage. Unexpectedly, my neighbor was in the driveway and it was too late to have her move her car. I notified Steve and his response was "We'll work it out", which he did by parking on the street. I knew he would have supplies to haul back and forth, so I felt bad he had to park on the street. Steve seemed unfazed by that. My goal was to have Steve wash my car and give me a price for the kind of detail it would require. My 2003 Honda CR-V needs an "uplift". Steve gave me very detailed information on what needs to be done for the paint, plastic trim, headlight covers and wheels. I'm planning on setting up a date with him to have that work done within the next couple of weeks. I didn't think to take a picture of my dirty car. But here's how she looked after the wash. Amazing! If I could do more stars I would. I called at 1pm without an appointment and Steve was at our home to wash the car same day. Steve washed our Telsa and turned it into a new looking car! He did a brilliant job. Steve bought all the materials, including a vacuum. We gave access to an electricity point and hose - the rest Steve took care of. Blown away! He also went above and beyond... Steve is very reliable, honest, and super hard-working. He uses great, great chemicals, products, and is organized. He brought all equipments and products he needed and worked on the car for hours to make sure my car was taken cared for. I am so, so satisfied and happy with what he did! All in all, disappointed in the results considering the reviews seemed good upon first glance. He flaked on our initial appointment without giving me any prior notice, which we did end up eventually sorting out. So we reschedule for a different day. I expected a thorough wash and detail, and obviously for my car to look better at the end than it did before he started. He approaches me once he's done with some "revelation" about how he's uncovered all these mysterious scratches all over the paint that were never there to begin with then begins concocting this convoluted, nonsensical story about where the scratches must've come from -- he made up a story about how somebody at some body shop I've never been to (last time I was at a body shop was over two years ago) probably hurriedly tried to buff out scratches they made initially and was trying to appease his boss, whom in turn took a scouring pad to my paint to try and hide them, or something or another...?? No clue, I wasn't following. Yeah, who knows. Makes no sense! Then he tries to gaslight me into believing this pure fabrication of a story. Like, bro. Just admit that you scratched my paint. And no need to keep trying to cover your butt telling me about all your other "happy customers". What about me? I expected good work. I expected a car wash at the very least, and you basically just wiped off the dirt with your spray and microfiber cloth. Just very basic wiping, in and out. Nothing special. Nothing I couldn't have just done myself. Then he tried to tell me that this was a $180 job, but he's only going to change me $80. HAH, what a joke. Appreciated the time, and sorry you're going through things, but that is pure insolence to tell me that type of work was worth $180 whilst flashing me photos of the Porsches and Ferraris of your rich clients' you've worked on. Blown away as were my kids when I took them to school this morning. They thought we had a new car. With the way the weather has been only has been a while since I got the cars cleaned. Steve came yesterday and worked SO hard and transformed my car from dirty to basically brand new. Even the lollipop one of my daughter's friends left glued to the carpet has gone. Maybe a bit more expensive than going g to a car wash but to be able to get the car done at home while getting on with other task totally worth it. My car looks as good as new- that's a serious no joke statement. Steve did an incredible job of restoring what (should have been) a well taken care of Audi Allroad. It had been 4-5 months since I had a car wash and I usually take it to a spot around the corner, where I thought they did a good job. I now realize that place does not even come close to Carluv. Steve's level of attention to detail, his sense of perfection and from what I could see, his love of detailing cars really shows in the final product. My paint work is a as smooth as when I bought it, the leather interior is back to its original beautiful condition, and best of all he got all the dog hair out of the carpet and the headliner! This was a huge bonus since I have a large Great Dane who's the most gorgeous slobbery hairy beast in the world- not great for the interior of a car. I was not convinced I'd see the day when my car would look like it did pre dog beast, however Carluv proved me wrong.
