It's nice to have a car wash in downtown. This place is a little run down but it sort of gets the job done. $14.99 was the cheapest wash. Their credit card machine wasn't working so I had to use their ATM with a charge. There is a weird looking doll that says do not touch in its back that looks like an old lady peering into the car wash area. Strange. Ok. Shoe shiners where there, a little Mexican restaurant which was closed... Was the wash amazing? Not really but it got the job done. My mats were still a little dirty. I bumped up the Starrage because Rob (?) I hope I remembered his name correctly- was the nicest, friendliest and good vibes guy. He buffed out a paint scrape I had on my car from someone hitting it, I assume. No other car wash ever offered something like that and he just had pleasant convo. That guy made the experience great. I have coming here for more than a decade and always rated it 5-Stars but no longer. They got rid of the basic car washes and now the least expensive (the new basic) is $27 plus tip of course. I don't like Armor All on my tires and I don't like scents added to my interior. I guess them adding these justifies the price. Btw Armor All and other equivalent products are not good for your tires and I don't want my car smelling like a strawberry or other fragrance. I already only came here as a last resort, because of the convenient location. It's gone from bad to worse over the last four years, with the facility being poorly maintained and now the rest of the lot being overcrowded with customers at the local marijuana dispensary. Today was the last straw. They no longer offer anything other than a hand car wash, and even in the most basic package they are charging $60! Sixty dollars!!??? Sorry but that's not a very good basic rate. And not worth it IMO. The cashier told me "we're dying here...". I don't ever write reviews let alone a bad one, especially during a hard time like this when businesses are struggling. I have been coming here for at least 6/7 years now. The owner/ manager? who works at the cash register has always been really nice to me when I go. I can't say my car would always come out spotless though, which I do normally let it slide. After my visit today, I sadly have to say that I will never return again. I just got a brand new car from the dealership about 3 weeks ago (temporarily license sticker is still on my window! Which i showed the owner after the incident.) and i have only driven it 4 times since I work from home these days. Today I have decided to come here and get a hand wash (which was $60) to keep it looking fresh! Not only my car came out still looking dirty, it also got a HUGE scratch on top of my trunk like someone keyed it or something (see picture). Like any normal reaction from anyone.. I was really angry and asked the owner to come check it out. Not only I didn't get an apology for this. I was immediately told that it was not her employee's fault and the scratch was definitely there before the wash. Nothing got resolved and sadly to say this again.. YOU BETTER KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR CAR WHILE IT IS GOING THROUGH THE WASH PROCESS! A few months ago I went to get a car wash and I watched through the window as it washed. They vacuumed, the guy scrubbed it with a wash broom, and they sent it through. My car went through and NO WATER OR CLEANING agents were implemented. It just with through the spinning machine, got rinsed at the end and out. I complained, they turned on the soaps/waxes and sent it through again. So I took it as a mistake. YESTERDAY!!!! I paid for the 27.00, tax, and withdrew money for a tip. I watched my Truck go through. AGAIN!!!!! Same substandard process as my last visit, it came out still dirty. I go complain and report this was the second visit with WATER ONLY. They flip a switch on, sent it through again. After waiting on it to be finished, I had to walk around and point out dirty areas for the guy to wipe off. There was hardly anyone there and they rushed the guy to dry and dress the vehicles. I overheard a guy tell the guy drying a car, " you taking to long, it's not a shoe shine". I paid a lot of money for some raggedy service....NEVER AGAIN! Prices are sky high but the quality of work is mediocre at best. The young man that writes you up when you drop off your car has a bad attitude and puts a bad taste in your mouth from the get go. He comes off like a bootleg gangster and attempts to hustle you into accepting an upcharge on an already expensive $27 wash by insulting you. "Don't ask the guy to do anything extra because your just getting basic wash". Guess what the next step up is? $50 dollars just so they can wipe down your doors and do a better vacuum job in the interior. Yeah right. I had to try this place once since I live so close by but I won't be returning again. The bad reviews are definitely accurate so proceed with caution. Given how empty the place was midday on a Saturday I imagine they won't be able to last much longer under the current ownership. Hopefully someone else takes over as the location could really use a good car wash. Stop freaking out people! Yeah, it's not a hand car wash because its the 21st freakin century and there are machines to do this for us now. Why is everyone so angry that it's machine washed as if they didn't know this as they pull up to a long ass car wash where cars are being pushed thru? No one pulled your arm and forced you to wash your car there, the machine is a given and you made that choice before leaving your car with them! In other words, no one car wash raped you! Now to the real business Service is horrible though. The guy to takes your keys and your order is somewhat A.D.D. and literally charged me the wrong price for the lowest wash. You're job is simple man, memorize 5 wash types and write it down, that's it. Get it right! It's not heart surgery. Should I call child services? For DTLA this is it. New ownership as of 5/2014. Kind of going with the changes. Bummer, They are getting rid of the 5min express wash ($6.50) which was a deal for a quick in and out wash during lunch or between Appts. So the change will be exterior wash only and you cannot sit in the car for $9.99. I think next step up is the regular Full Service car wash which is $13.99 and the $16.99 includes spray wax and air freshener. I bring all my cars here to wash, The Ferrari is too low for the machine to go thru so they have to hand wash some of my cars sometimes. Overall these guys are pretty good on details and express hand waxes that I get regularly. Even if you bring in your Mazda regularly, once or twice a month, just smile, and as long as they did a nice job cleaning and wiping down your car dry, tip them well and they will usually remember you! read more

I've been getting car washes here for over 10 years. Few years back, I think the ownership changed, and they hired the rudest lady to work there. I still went because this place is the closest to where I live. The last time I visited they had raised a regular wash price to $28. This is the lowest grade wash available and it was still $28. The wash was mediocre at best, not worth the money. Last week, I wanted to detail my dad's car. I paid over $200, plus tip. The interior carpet was washed, but dash not wiped, windows unclean and again, definitely not worth the $200 I paid. This is, by far, the worst and the most expensive car wash I have been too. The best word to describe this place is adequate. The cashier was standoffish and cold, the restroom was locked for the entire 25 minutes I was there and she kept telling me "someone is in there" with no further explanation or assistance. The car came out "okay" - I wasn't upset or impressed. And I was on my way. Certainly didn't make enough of an impression that I'd choose this over the Santa Palm Car Wash that's right by my old apartment (familiar), but they didn't do anything terribly wrong either. These guys are criminals. They charged me 60$ for a hand wash. They charged my friend 70$ for the same service. They are obviously charging different clients different prices. They told me it would take 25 minutes, but failed to let me know that there were 5 clients ahead of me. It took an hour and 20 minutes. On top of that, they threw out my garage gate transponder and I will now have to pay 60$ to get it replaced! Of course they don't have an operational phone either and I am unable to get it back and would assume they have thrown it out. Unfortunately they left every other piece of paper that was trash in my car, overall a terrible job washing my car. DO NOT go here. Literally go anywhere else. First and last time at this car wash! $65 for a car wash and did the minimum. I still had to ask the worker to wipe the windows again because they were still dirty. They said it'll be a hand wash so I was like ok this should be good I've seen some really good hand wash car washes before but they literally just washed it down with a garden hose and scrubbed it with an old brush didn't even get the dirt off completely. They stole my dog's safety belt. When I asked about it, Jorge treated me rudely and started arguing with me. I was flabbergasted. To add insult to injury, I was forced to drive home without her safety belt. I asked the guy Jorge "George" if he would drive his child without a safety device and he said "Yeah. I would". I'd rather drive further or go to a self-wash. Which, by the way, I always ended up washing the wheels myself anyway...I literally bring rubber gloves to my full-service car wash so I can clean my own wheels. It's crazy. But I never complained. Remove your belongings! anything in your car is at risk to be stolen. Two days ago I visited this car wash and as soon as it came out of the wash side I open the driver door to try and find my Apple AirPod Pros which I realized I had left in the center console, to find that they were stole by the men who vaccumed the car before it goes through the wash. I of course nicely confronted the gentleman but nothing was returned. For the past three days I have been a guest at the hotel across the street (they basically share a parking lot). I really should have checked he reviews before going. I paid $50 for advanced wash. The BMW emblem on my bumper had mysteriously came loose. They told me it was like that when i arrived. I said "ok .... lets see the cameras". The lady at the counter says i need to talk to the owner but the owner apparently never comes or wont return my call but i put a note on his door. I know he knows my situation but refuses to even address it. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Especially seeing as how i paid SO much. This place is garbage! Paid 50 bones for a hand wash with wax + standard interior cleaning. Had to spend an extra 10 mins pointing out spots they missed which included dashboard, door sills, did not clean the interior front window and rear mat. After I noticed some dry residue on the chrome handles, I asked bout the wax and he restated with was a spray wax. Bait and switch! Look... This Place Sucks! Things that Suck: 1. Rude workers. 2. Filled up my tank with 91 when I asked for 87. Argued to get my money for a tank of 87. This was just terrible. 3. The price for a $13.00 wash is 19.99. Rip off. 4. Did not wipe down the inside of the car or vacuum (or did a crappy job at it). 5. Interior looked like it had never been touched. I didn't bother to argue about the crappy interior cleaning because I was worn out on the previous argument about putting the wrong gas in.
