Erika L., the bartender, was very rude and appeared to have an attitude while I was placing my order. I was interrupted and cut off in the middle of giving my order, which ultimately resulted in my order not being entered correctly. When my drink was brought to me, it was placed down in what felt like an unnecessarily aggressive manner. When Erika realized the order was incorrect, she rolled her eyes. I asked her if she was okay because of the way I was being treated, and she responded that the bar had just opened and then walked away from me. At that point, I asked to speak with a manager because I wanted to address the situation appropriately. I was told that the manager was off and that there was no manager there. As a longtime customer, I found that extremely disappointing, especially when I was trying to address a serious customer service concern. What made this experience even more upsetting is that I could not help but feel that the way I was treated may have been influenced by the color of my skin. I cannot say what was in the employee's mind, but the treatment I received left me feeling disrespected and uncomfortable. I honestly do not believe I would have been treated the same way if I were Hispanic. If the bar had just opened and there were limitations on service, all that needed to be said was that the bar was not fully ready or that service would begin shortly. I would have understood. There was no reason for me to be treated with an attitude or made to feel unwelcome. After more than 10 years of being a customer, this experience has completely changed how I feel about returning. I believe every customer deserves to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, regardless of their race or background. I should never have to feel like a server does not want to serve me. This was a horrible and deeply disappointing experience. Unfortunately, after being a loyal customer for so many years, I will no longer be returning.
