The surf and turf pizza is not to be missed along with the Alfredo pasta (add chicken and shrimp!) and the surf and turf pasta with the southwest Alfredo sauce. I've been visiting your location for a few years now, and the ladies at the bar are always so accommodating with my carryout order. You also have the best croutons I've ever met in my life. I was visiting family and we didn't feel like cooking anything, so we decided to order from White Rhino. It's a classic staple in the NWI area but parking can sometimes be a bit tricky as the lot quickly fills and you're a bit SOL. There is often quite a wait and it can be a bit noisy in there, so we decided to pick it up. We placed our order online and the food was ready on time. The food was SO DELICIOUS! We also felt we got quite the value for our meal. The Macho Nacho appetizer was quite shareable (although a bit too many jalapeños for me, but they could easily be picked out!) and had a good balance of flavor. The portions of the pasta and beef sandwich were huge. Both entrees were very good and you can also choose a side (the baked potato for the beef a sandwich isn't featured, but still there!). I've had many great experiences with this restaurant. Whether it's Saturday night bands or Sunday football game buffet I haven't been there in a while but every time I've been there it's been fantastic. The hamburgers are juicy and the staff is amazing, wide range of beers on tap, and it's a bigger restaurant than you would think until you rent it. Great food great music. I went to this restaurant for dinner with my family. My favorite dish I ordered had to be the Bavarian pretzel. It was huge! Much bigger than the pretzel you'd buy at a baseball game. I ended up ordering the Honey Jalapeño burger. It came out about thirty minutes later. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how long jt sat in the kitchen while the rest of my party's orders were being made, as the burger bun was very soggy, and the provided pickle was very warm. I was probably just unlucky, as the restaurant was very busy, so I can't say that your experience will be the same. The restaurant had a jukebox system where you could play songs from your phone, so that was a plus. The food was delicious! I met some girlfriends there to talk about financial stuff and had drinks as well. Bartenders were great and personable. We also stayed to play bingo, but with how big the downstairs is, it was hard to hear the announcer sometimes. I'm not sure why, but they also scheduled some loud as heck Zumba classes right in the middle of bingo so I couldn't hear the numbers or what bingo game we were playing. So, definitely recommend coming in a day that they only have one event otherwise you might as well not play bingo. Otherwise, overall would come back there. read more

Didn't know what to expect but I did expect some good food, mostly because I was told about this place from a recommendation. So of course my expectations were pretty high. Me and my guest walk in, no one was there to seat us. After waiting a few minutes, we decided to seat ourselves. We were tired and hungry and weren't going to be standing there too long. Once we seated ourselves, a guy walked pass to let us know someone would be with us soon. (He was pretty cool) Eventually our waitress came to the table with waters. It took us a while to figure out what we wanted because we had never been here before. They had so many things on the menu that sounded good but I eventually opted for the shrimp, (I should have gotten something else but I digress). The waitress brought out bread, butter and soup. I enjoyed the bread, butter and soup. Not too long after our meals came out, I was still working on my bread and soup. I have a thing for bread :) (OH CARBS) EVentually I bit into the shrimp and sweet potatoe fries, I was a bit underwhelmed. If I wasn't so hungry ( it was literally my first meal of the day) I probably would have sent the shrimp back, they had a weird taste. Not what I was expecting. The sweet potato fries weren't the best I've ever had, they were ok! Overall, I was hungry and I was fed but I wasn't overly impressed. This place seems like a cool place to hang out with friends but don't expect you food to be amazing. The bread and butter is good though :) And make sure you look at your check before you pay it to make sure everything is correct. read more

Went to White Rhino tonight for dinner. Decided to go with the lake perch. Found it slightly pretentious that they have MP for basic lake perch. It was good, a little under seasoned for my palate but a resounding OK is my opinion. They served it with a 1 oz container of regular tartar sauce. (See photo) Pretty much every establishment gives you 2 oz of tartar sauce and more if you ask. Was a little peeved to know they charged for the extra one they brought. Found that petty enough to pull out my yelp review. Come on folks, I've ate fish locally at far superior establishments and wasn't charged for far better sauce. SMH read more

Although I had a bad experience once, White Rhino is very solid bar and grill in Dyer. I have upgraded to 4 stars. I have had pizza, burgers and various shrimp, fish basket and the walleye basket and all is very strong food. The drink menu had an extensive beer list and the draft beer is always cold and fresh. My tip is to avoid White Rhino if it looks slammed; otherwise, this is a solid and delicious restaurant with very friendly staff. Nice local bar with great food. Gets crazy busy on the weekends so expect to wait and maybe have a cocktail or two. We go here every other month or so and no complaints. Very late posting up about my daughters baby shower we had upstairs. The mgr was so very accommodating us, receiving balloons, cakes and helping guests upstairs that needed it. I stood there for 10 minutes while this older white guy named Joe saw me and ignored me and continued to service everyone but me. Even started to serve another white couple that came in after me and kept walking past me. He argued with me about wether or not it was unsanitary-Especially during the pandemic! I haven't been to a restaurant in years that allowed smoking. So we looked up the law. 8 feet from building. They were not!!! Also the wait staff had mouth coverings. No one understands covid.
