Came to this nearby location to get some hemming taken care of for some new pants I ordered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owner(s) were very nice and I worked with the woman owner who helped me get my pants pinned in order to have them hemmed at the length I preferred.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She initially said to have my shoes off when she put the pin in, however, from past work experiences I'm familiar with hems and know its a better practice to have shoes on so that you can have them at the right length and not be too long or too short of a break on top of the shoe. She didn't have any qualms about this and proceeded to pin it. The price for the two pants came out to around ~$36 but could've been cheaper if I added on a steam and press service to her suggestion, I declined that offer but appreciated the incentive nonetheless, they were able to finish the job in about 4 days. I'm satisfied with the hems and will most likely be back again for future alterations as needed. read more

Let's be real. We put on some lbs during Covid and it's taking time to lose some of those lbs for some of us. This economy isn't doing anyone any favors so less funds means less of an ability to splurge on new clothes (for said new lbs). Sue has been a life saver and a viable solution for someone like me. I have a lot of clothes I'm still trying to 'fit back into' but struggle to (anyone else relating?). I've brought items in asking for help with options and Sue has always been 100% honest. She has been able to 'let out' some clothes to allow more room for a more comfortable fit (ie the buttons aren't going to shoot off when you put shirt on). She is also pretty straight forward saying yeah , no, there's nothing she can do for an item if it'll compromise the garment or the cost wouldn't be worth it. She recently let out a dress for me and I can't tell you how amazing it looks - and more importantly - how amazing *I* feel . I really can't recommend you enough to go absolutely anywhere else than here. I work in fashion so having somewhere that takes care of your garments is vital. I now have countless items of clothing that have been ruined by the lack of care these people take in their work. This started when I noticed one on my skirts had been pinned to the hanger and it had left it with big holes in. When I mentioned this to the owner they said they wouldn't do this again. They continued to ruin limited & designer items. When I called them out again there was no apology or accountability. I will never be returning and can't believe the damage they caused. UPDATE: still finding items that have been badly damaged by safety pins. This is the correct location, I would know after taking all of these items there, my name isn't in their system as it's under a family members name. I tried this place to alter my daughters gown. I thought it may be difficult to do and decided to try them out. They did a phenomenal job on her gown. I then took my white down jacket with fur around the hood to be cleaned. I was afraid to let any dry cleaner try to clean the jacket. I was sure they would destroy it. My jacket is very old, passed down by my mom and you will never get this type of jacket anywhere like it. So I let Carmel Valley Cleaners have a try. The end sleeves were very dirty and I wasn't sure if those stains would come out. When I got it back, Oh my gosh! My white down jacket was white as snow!! There were no stains on them at all! I brought in a very expensive beaded gown that I wore for my daughter's wedding to be cleaned that had dirt and grime all on the bottom of the very full chiffon skirting. I wasn't sure all the stains would be able to be removed. When I picked up the dress, Sue, the owner, told me that they were able to get all the stains out and the dress looked brand new again.
