I cannot believe that I found this place right near where I live! What a hidden gem! First off, there is no chance you will stumble upon this location because it is on a back street with businesses that are not getting a lot of traffic. However, it is to be highly considered. I took a dinner jacket in to be pressed and let's just say I was IMpressed. The cost was reasonable and I had the jacket back in 2 days. The decor is fun and somewhat modern, if not homey. I dropped off a set of brand-new shirts for dry cleaning, and when I picked them up, one shirt--buried in the middle of the stack--had a tag saying "previously damaged." That was an outright lie. They created a 10-inch tear through the front and back of the shirt. Why would I bring in a "previously damaged" shirt for dry cleaning? They ruined it, tried to hide it, and then still charged me for the cleaning. On top of that, their laundry pricing is misleading. The website clearly says $3.99/lb, but when I went to pay, they tried to charge $5.99/lb. When I pointed out the online price, they literally asked me, "How much do you want to pay?" and then randomly settled on $4.99/lb. Dishonest, careless, and unprofessional. I will never return, and I strongly recommend avoiding this place. RESPONSE TO OWNER'S RESPONSE BELOW: You must be referring to someone else. Beware of the verbally abusive & angry owner Mohammed!! On January 20, 2024, I picked up 3 Tory Burch clothing items that were allegedly dry cleaned by Expert Cleaners. The fabric on the two cardigans looked odd, like they had been through the wash and dried, NOT dry cleaned. The tunic had pulled threads, (damage) that did not exist when I had dropped it off. A week later, I tried on one of the cardigans and noticed it had dramatically shrunk, over a full size and no longer fit me. I had several calls with the owner Mohammed who apologized and asked me to come in so he could personally take care of it. I came in to the store with my 4 yr old daughter on Saturday, February 10, 2024. I showed Mohammed the shrunken sweater and damaged tunic. He asked me repeatedly if I was SURE he had done this, I repeatedly told him, yes, he shrunk the sweater and damaged the tunic. Out of no where, he yelled at me to immediately leave his store, how dare I accuse him of this, etc. It took me by such surprise I burst into tears and started shaking. I grabbed my items and my daughter and put her into my car. A woman who was behind the counter consoled me, said she was going to be the new owner, and apologized. Mohammed continued to fight with me and said that he did not know if he could fix it but would try. I left my items with him but will never dare step foot into the store. I do not know what to do and feel verbally assaulted and truly hurt by the experience. I read his reviews and see many customers have similar complaints. My young daughter and I were shaking and in tears over the experience. What an evil man. read more

My son needed his pants dyed black and I took them in to Expert Cleaners. The service was excellent. They first consulted with the person who does the dyeing. They kept in touch with me about the likelihood of getting the pants to be the right shade, and made sure I wanted to proceed. They ended up dyeing the pants twice to get the right color. Worst cleaners in area, has given stuff away to wrong customer or lost my items on more than one occasion. No oppology or discount offered. When I complained he threatened to charge me double for my bad attitude. They have no computer system so it's all on paper and tags so it is a disorganized mess. I had six of my brand new dress shirts from Saks Fifth cleaned here. One of my brand new dress shirts (in lavender colored fabric) come out with several permanent ink stains in the front, which were not there when I purchased the shirt. The older gentleman working the front denied that my shirt was new (you're an expert on what new clothing is?) and accused me of bringing in the shirt with the stains already on there. AGAIN, this is a BRAND NEW DRESS SHIRT, which I previously tried out in the store. Why would I purchase the shirt if it had ink stains on it? Preposterous. His proposed solution was to return the shirt back to Saks Fifth. To his credit he tried to remove the stains using what appeared to be a simple stream method on the front (I could see the shirt was wet in that area), which was unsurprisingly unsuccessful. This wasn't a good look by self-touted "expert" cleaners and shows the extent of their expertise. I did not appreciate the older gentleman's overall defensive and dismissive tone, and will be taking my business elsewhere. One suggestion to the business to improve their customer service, perhaps an offer to take off the cleaning cost as a courtesy (common sense, no?). As a professional in the legal field it wasn't worth my time to continue to debate, so I thanked him for his "solution." Expert Cleaners is great! Finding a worthwhile dry cleaners can be difficult as some take in more business than they can handle which puts a drag on your cleaning needs, but Expert is an expert. Their prices are moderate and the turnaround time is a couple of days but there is an expedited service! I haven't used the expedited service yet, but I'm sure it'll save my ass someday. I've seen various military come through which is proof enough of their service, but recently, shortly after New Years, I saw them cleaning the Mira Mesa High Schools' marching band uniforms when they returned from the Rose Parade. If they can handle a over 300 uniforms at once plus their regular cleaning inventory, I'm sold! read more

I had been doing business with this company through a middleman for years. When the company went under, I was given the middleman's details and took my business there directly, even though the manager of the business that went under recommended another company as a replacement. At first things were good, but then over several months, they started to change. The time they said they needed to do my laundry and return it to me doubled from 2 days to 4. On several occasions, I had to take my clothes to a second dry cleaner to correct what Expert Cleaners had done. Then there was their penchant for losing my socks. I have 2 pairs with only one sock. And most recently, when I gave them 20 pairs of socks to wash, they gave me back 16. To their credit, they agreed to pay for the missing socks, but also told me never to return. While this place is extremely convenient for me (on my way to work), it is sad that their service has deteriorated so much. If you want to gamble on losing your clothes, use this place, but you're better off using Tops Valet or Cloud Dry Cleaning & Laundry Delivery or some other laundry service if you would like to get your clothes back. read more

However, due to my ultra busy schedule, I hadn't stopped by since they moved to their current location. I was very happy to read on their sign that they are considered "green". Not sure what they have to do to qualify for that, but still, it sounds great. But there is so much more. Hands down, you will not find a friendlier or more helpful staff. I have been using expert cleaners for years and would have given them a 5 star because service was always very good but recently they ruined a silk blouse of mine and I am pretty chill it can happen. They said they would pay and did not hassle me so I sent them the ruined blouse and the receipt to replace $162.00 and I get a check for $150.00. Credit card was not credited for the blouse and they short paid the invoice. So this ended up costing me about $15.00....seems a bit odd. I may not use them again. read more

They are like the master stain removers - I once took them a table cloth with a wine stain that I was certain had destroyed the fabric for good. I've been going here for over 10 years. Started when I lived near-by - but even though I now live 20 miles away - I still wouldn't go anywhere else (I just work the trips into my schedule). I've had many things altered here by the tailor and have had no problems at all ... but the tailor is not "full time" - so you do need to schedule those services. But the real reason to go to Expert is the absolute care and attention given to cleaning your items - especially those which had stains that you really didn't think would come out - but where your slim hope was wonderfully rewarded !! And if you care about what you have cleaned - the pricing is MORE than fair. (really - do you want a "cheap" cleaner? really ??). So, the woman who does the alterations is fantastic and really sweet--I had a rented dress that needed to be shortened but couldn't be cut and she was able to bustle it for me, and it looked great. Stay away from the fabric dyeing, though. I had a pretty bad experience in which they were entirely unable to dye anything to any color remotely resembling the color I needed. I only bring work items here, so my experience is a little different than most. We have a mascot costume which hardly anyone can clean, but they do! We also bring our tablecloths here as well.
