I called Shelton and happend to speak to the owner who said bring them in. When I got there, the attendant told me the owner told them about the situation. They got my shirts back to me the next day better than new. My cleaners in L.A. would have easily charged me $80. My bill was $36. I visited San Diego. On my flight another passenger placed a bag containing ice, melting, in the overhead bin where I folded my fine wool suit jacket. That soaked the jacket. Fortunately I found Shelton Cleaners. They advised, wisely, to let it dry before dry cleaning and pressing. Dropping it in mid-afternoon, they ran it dry first thing in the morning, pressed it and it was ready by 8. I could write on the sociality of laundry worldwide. But there is a pleasure if your clothing is laundered and pressed/ironed appropriately for the situation. I sent them shirt laundering and they were very prompt. This is a family business, and I support another family launderer. More than one generation works there. That is admirable. And they survived the pandemic, many cleaners did not. Shelton Cleaners is a small business in East Village. If you are in the neighborhood, they are a solid resource. If you are in greater San Diego seeking a new cleaner, test them. I decided on Shelton Cleaners, it was the customer service for me and close to home. They offer same-day service with early drop off or next day turnaround. Shelton Cleaners is located downtown, which I thought would be a problem, but once you set up an account if there's no parking, they will bring your clothes to you. Awesome, who does that? They do! Found this place while looking for an immediate dry cleaning before an event that was done last minute. Luckily after calling multiple places and driving to multiple places, this was the first place that said they could have it ready next day. I was super happy to walk in and see how clean this location was and how organized. It is located right off the highway 5, unfortunately it is near homeless central which isn't this business fault... but a little unsettling while driving here. In any event there is a 15 minute green zone and plenty of parking in front and to the side of the building. I was immediately greeted and information was entered, payment tendered (which ended up being cheaper than our old place especially for being downtown!). Have been here a few times since and was ready same day. Definitely recommend and will be coming back! read more

The service is also top-notch, prices are very reasonable, and turnaround time is lightning fast. I have never been obsessed with taking my clothes to the dry cleaners before, but now that I have discovered Shelton, I take in everything that needs a little (or a lot) of TLC. Just a heads up, they do not take Apple Pay so make sure you have other payment methods! Parking can also be tricky, but I never spend more than 2-3 minutes dropping off and picking up my stuff, so I can get away with parking in the nearby loading zones. read more

They charge my credit card automatically and I am out the door within minutes on arrival. I was quoted $30 flat fee, also given drop off times. which is great so if you do have a time drop stuff off by 10 AM. you should be able to get it the same day. I definitely returned to drop off my king size comforter Which did cost $30 flat and I was not disappointed when I returned to pick it up next day. It came on a hanger with a plastic wrap folded over neatly. I definitely look forward to bringing not only my bedding back but other items of clothing for dry cleaning as well. it's located Downtown about five blocks from my house so therefore convenience is a big key so pricing is worth it. staff was friendly, and Tentative it does seem to be A family Operated business. The night before a wedding I was going to , I decided to hand wash my dress and accidentally ruined it by making some water stains (as it hung dried) and was very wrinkled.
