I have been putting off leaving this review but I do feel it is necessary. First off I had written…read morea review approximately 10 months ago, which was a good review for some " Handyman work" Florberto had done for us. I do not doubt that he is a good handyman. The problem I had was when Florberto was here he had pointed out to me the rotting wood around the exterior front window of our home and that he could fix it. Being naïve that I was and not realizing that a license contractor should do a job like this i hired him. A few days went by when he was here and I noticed sheet rock chunks breaking off of the interior wall because of all the hard pounding he was doing which was concerning. I ordered a window (per his advice) to replace the one around the wood rot and he told me to call him when the window comes in so I assumed he had finished what he could do until that time. About a day later, I had another Handyman come to put up a barn door and he pointed out to me that I was going to have a huge problem because it was in the forecast to rain for the next five days and he showed me the open spaces all around the window where the wood rot had been. I found out that Florberto had taken some of the wood rot off and left everything completely exposed and with the rain coming it was going to be soaking into the interior walls and cause even more damaged than there was before. I was shocked that he left everything unfinished. I ended up having to hire, which I should've done in the first place a licensed contracting company who had to take everything that he had done off because it was done incorrectly, and correct his mistakes and then do the job. It cost me $9000 which because of the rain there was only so much we could do to protect the exposed openings all around the window until the contractors could start. This was a big lesson for me and Florberto should never have started something that first off he is not licensed to do and I believe he got in way over his head.If he would have just been honest with me and let me know that we needed to get somebody to fix everything it would've definitely saved me some money and stress. I have posted some photos of how he left the job. Luckily, I had not paid him much even though I not realizing until the contractors got here how poorly the work he did was.

The only reason I'm not leaving a full five stars is around billing clarity. I was on-site for over two hours and observed that while the electricians were doing the hands-on work, the owner spent a fair amount of that same on-site time managing--taking calls, quoting other jobs, coordinating with contractors, and scheduling future work. That time was billed at the same rate and duration as the electricians actively working on the project. I fully understand that job management, code compliance, material planning, and coordination are real work and add value. Customers should simply be aware that this supervisory time is billed as on-site labor, at approximately $165/hour, and can equal active labor time. Overall, I'm happy with the outcome and would consider using Craft Electric again, knowing I'm paying a premium. This feedback was shared directly with the business, and I was informed that time is billed accurately. Sharing this here so others know what to expect and can avoid surprises--particularly if they're accustomed to overhead being baked into labor rates rather than billed alongside them.

There were plenty of red flags in the quote process, like him not remembering half of what he said…read morehe'd quote, or just not remembering the projects. But we overlooked these issues because he seemed to be competent and was a nice guy. But we have really regretted hiring him pretty much every day since. He put the wrong shower door in for the space, and then blamed us for not choosing a more expensive model (we chose the most expensive of the three he offered). It wobbles so much when opening or closing it, anyone would think it's broken. He tried to suggest that it just needs to "settle in." Right. That chestnut. When we confronted him about it not fitting the space (it hits the toilet, so only opens part way), he said, "I can't think of every little issue." How about any issue at all? And it's not a little issue. This is the kind of expertise you look for--that he clearly didn't have. When we told him we were going to have to have it redone, he offered no solutions to resolve the issue. All in all, a miserable experience. And that niceness sure didn't last.
