Full disclosure, I didn't end up hiring Russ Galloway Electric for the issue I was having. This review is for their responsiveness and integrity. I reached out to several electricians for an issue with my bathroom lighting. Only 1 of 4 electricians even bothered to respond - RGE. They discussed the issue I was having with me and suggested I take a few steps to see if I could fix the issue myself and if those steps didn't work, then they'd come out and work on. Their advice over the phone was really helpful and ultimately fixed the issue I was having. They even followed up with a phone call a week later to see how things went. This level of customer care is practically unheard of in the construction industry these days. Though I didn't use RGE this go around, they'll definitely be on my speed dial when we're ready to upgrade our service panel in the next year. read more

Russ Galloway Electric is great! I had some lighting fixtures that needed to be moved. It was a bit complicated because the wiring had to be relocated and the fixtures hooked up to different switches. The guys arrived on time, they were very polite and friendly and got the job done in a timely fashion. Russ was here first thing in the morning and checked in on the workers during the day and again at the end of the day. Russ is very nice and a good communicator. I have used several different electricians over the years but from now on I will use Russ Galloway. read more

Russ came out to bid outlets, fan installation, and recessed lighting upgrades. Him and his team did a great job of explaining each step and how long it should take. He was fair priced and offered various options to the job which would save money and be more aesthetically please. Definitely would higher again for future jobs. read more

What more can I say? Russ Galloway revived the whole electric network in our house. We bought this house as a short sale, and the electrical system had suffered from decades of neglect and mishandling. Russ, along with his colleagues Doug and Todd, completely rewired our main breaker panel, upgraded every outlet in the house to ground-fault, installed a new outdoor spotlight, set up a whole new electrical alignment for our garage, and even got our garage-door-opener up and running. The work was meticulous to the point of obsessive. But we feel safe, and everything works. The only regret is that they did such a great job, we probably won't ever need to call them again. Thank god for RUSS! I was having terrible issues with my TV remote- it is an advanced remote that was fried during a power outage and I could not get it to work. I bought a replacement and had the Geek Squad come out to install. What a disaster! They left things in worse shape than before, and the TV still did not work Russ came to the rescue, simplified my overly complex system, and had things up and running again. It was hard to find someone to fix this system I have, but so happy to find Russ He shows up on time, knows what he is doing, and takes great care to deliver what on his promises. We met Russ several years ago on the recommendation of our contractor. Doing electrical on a remodel is NEVER something one likes to leave to chance, so hiring the right person was crucial. Several years and several projects later, I can honestly say that I have never had a more positive electrical contractor experience than working with Russ Galloway. Every single project comes in under budget, and equally important, on time! There have been several emergency situations where I kind of feel like Russ saved my life, and I mean that both figuratively (no power = no television for the kids) and literally (faulty, old wiring = electrical fire waiting to happen). If your experience with electrical contractors has been anything like mine, you've found it likely that you'll be flaked on. Russ Galloway is the exception to that rule. He is incredibly knowledgeable and responsive. Russ is my go-to guy for jobs, big or small. When I recently had a bad breaker at my house, Russ gave me a spare so I wouldn't have to buy a new one at Home Depot. He even offered to come install it, during the evening, on a weekend if I had any trouble. He was genuinely concerned that my kids' milk would go bad if I had to wait until a weekday! On the day after Christmas, I had our main kitchen lights go out. It was not a tripped breaker, and I couldn't solve it on my own. Most electricians I called did not answer their phones, but Russ did and was able to come over the next day. It turned out that a plug I added to the light switch circuit shorted out, and the exposed wires had melted through the tape, nearly causing a fire. I found Russ to be kind, competent, affordable, and easy to work with. I will call him again time the next I am tempted to undertake some electrical work on my own! read more

We had a relatively small job to move one light and Russ was able to do this quickly and efficiently even though we ran into issues with the wiring. We were on a tight timetable and Russ was even able to get a drywall contractor in that same afternoon to patch the holes. I am very disappointed in Russ Galloway! I contacted him when I needed to get the old wiring in my house replaced in order to satisfy my homeowners insurance company. I told him it was urgent because my policy was due to be renewed and I needed to have the work done. After a cursory walk-through of my property, he told me that he couldn't give me a firm estimate because one never knows what you're getting into until you start working on old wiring. He said it would be at least a couple weeks before he could start on the project. I asked him to write a letter to my insurance company informing them that he had agreed to do the work for me. I ended up writing a simple letter for him to sign stating that he agreed to do the work. He advised me he needed his lawyer to look at it first, but eventually signed it. After weeks of delays and mis-communication, I finally called another electrician who conducted a thorough inspection, provided a detailed estimate, and completed the project early and on budget. After my experience with Mr. Galloway, I find it hard to believe he has so many positive reviews on Yelp. read more
