The staff is wonderful and very professional. Dr Maroon is a professional at the core meaning of professionalism. I think like most people we dread having to go to the dentist because of what's expected, but my experience at this office with this staff with Dr. Maroon wants me to come back again and again and again. My procedure was painless, comfortable, explained thoroughly and most importantly It broke the stigma that I've had for a lot of years of having to come to the Dentist. Dr. Maroon and her staff have change my mentality and I look forward to coming to this office again and again with my family. Now let me tell you if you're looking for an office with the bells and whistle's in the video games in the eye Candy this is not it. Let me tell you now if you're looking for an office and a dedicated staff that will take care of you that are not into the flash bang bells and whistle's and use the most up-to-date technology and procedures they will make you feel amazing this is the spot. As any other person we guide ourselves based on reviews and everybody has good and bad I only wish I can give Dr. Maroon and her staff 10 stars but I'm limited to five. This practice is a classic hidden gem just waiting to be discovered. Thank you Dr. Maroon and staff for taking care of me and my family.

If you want a real and…read moretrue cleaning like what a normal dental office would do they want to charge me an extra $55 although I have insurance. This place a major rip off. Also, last year they told me I had a crack in one of my fillings and they removed it and put a new filling in and charge me hundreds of dollars. I trusted them at this point and I don't trust this dental office now. Funny enough when I came in today, they told me I had another crack in the other filling on the other side and they wanted to do more work there. They just find reasons to bill you. Complete scammers I'd find another dentist.

I have been their patient for years and I will say they are worthy of trust - they will explain different treatment plan options in as much detail as you want, and they never push unnecessary treatment as some others practices tend to do. I highly recommend Smiles of Eastlake.

I went to Smiles of Eastlake for a comprehensive exam and cleaning. After reviewing my X-rays, I…read morewas told I had a couple of cavities and that some of my old fillings should be replaced. I trusted their professional judgment and agreed to the recommended treatment. During the procedure, the numbing injection was incredibly painful. I've had fillings before, so I knew this didn't feel normal. I remember thinking maybe they just used a different technique, so I trusted the process and didn't question it. Looking back, I wish I had advocated for myself. Ever since that filling was completed, that tooth has been in pain. I lived with that pain for the next 2-3 months, hoping it would eventually go away. Instead, I pushed it to the back of my mind and convinced myself it would get better. When I finally flew back to the D.C. area, I went to the dentist I've trusted for the past 10 years. He took new X-rays of the painful tooth and diagnosed me with pulpitis, an inflammation of the dental pulp. He also showed me that the new filling extended beyond the previous filling. He expressed concern about whether that additional drilling was necessary. He couldn't say for certain that it wasn't, but the look on his face and our conversation were concerning to me. I'm not accusing anyone of wrongdoing. I'm simply sharing the facts. During my comprehensive exam and X-rays at Smiles of Eastlake, there was no indication of inflammation in that tooth. After the filling was done, I developed constant pain in that same tooth and was later diagnosed with pulpitis by another dentist. My biggest issue with Smiles of Eastlake was that the office felt rushed and impersonal. It felt more like a high-volume practice than one focused on individualized patient care. Once my trust was broken, I wasn't comfortable returning. This review is really about two things. First, if you choose Smiles of Eastlake, proceed with caution. Ask questions, advocate for yourself, and don't be afraid to get a second opinion if something doesn't feel right. Second, listen to your body. I ignored persistent pain for 2-3 months because I assumed it would get better. It didn't. Whether this outcome could have been prevented, I don't know, but I do know that ignoring my symptoms wasn't the right decision. I hope my experience encourages someone else to trust their instincts and seek care sooner.

My senior citizen mother, whose first language is not English, went in by herself for a simple filling on May 6, 2025, and was subjected to exaggerated dental cost experience. Instead of addressing just the filling she requested, they pressured her into an extensive and expensive treatment plan that she explicitly stated she couldn't afford. She felt rushed through out the process, from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, without giving her a day to consider or seek a second opinion. Thus, she end up signing the contract without even knowing full details of the contract specially about the cancellation clause. They completed "Visit 1" and "Visit 2" in one visit without proper explanation or consent known to her. Their clause stating "If treatment commences and is cancelled after commencement, a nonrefundable minimum of 50% charge will be applied" is outrageous and, frankly, doesn't seem legal under California law. My mom stressed out that she could NOT pay the full patient cost. She also told me that she didn't know about this 50% clause when she signed it. She also said Steven even told her that the contract will be finalized on her next visit, supposedly yesterday, May 8. California Civil Code § 1689.3 provides a clear three-business-day right to rescind dental services contracts. Their attempt to enforce this "non-refundable minimum of 50% charge" clause and their refusal to immediately cancel after receiving our formal letter Wednesday, May 7 is a blatant disregard for patient rights under California Civil Code § 1689.3. Despite our legal right to cancel within three business days (which my mom exercised), they are still harassing my mother by calling and trying to schedule a meeting to "talk it over." She received a call yesterday (May 8) and today (May 9). This is unacceptable and shows their intent to bully vulnerable patients! This dental office preys on vulnerable individuals, uses high-pressure sales tactics, and attempts to enforce outrageous contract clauses to trap patients. We are within our legal cancellation period, and their refusal to honor it is appalling. AVOID THIS DENTAL OFFICE AT ALL COSTS! Provider name also known as R I MAROON DENTAL GROUP
