Got 4 all taken out once end of Apr this year. Surgery took just a little over an hour. Compared to a lot young kids got them removed at 18, I am a bit older to have them removed so my recovery was perhaps a week or two, doesn't really affect eating at that point. It was not hard to get the surgery appointment. Wasn't a long wait. I experienced no pain at all. I used general anesthesia. Didn't know when I got knocked out and woke up and it's done. I didn't even need any pain killer after. It's weird.. like no pain at all. At first I was waiting for the pain so I can take the strong pain killer but waited and waited... mmm didn't feel anything at all.. Doc has good skills? Lol My lips felt numb for about 18 hrs. Started to feel something back after midnight same day. The office will call you a few hours after the surgery to make sure you are doing okay. A check up was provided after two weeks of the surgery to make sure healing okay. I personally bled a little longer than I thought. They recommended using tea bag which is cool. The tea leaves took away the not so good taste of your own blood.. recommend get a big bag of that prior to surgery.. read more

I have never had to have any type of surgery so I was extremely nervous when I found out I needed to remove at least two of my wisdom teeth (and eventually all 4). Dr. Mowry and his staff were so helpful and comforting. They answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease leading up to the procedure. Though I felt better about it, I knew I would never want to go through this again so I opted to go ahead and remove all 4 teeth. I am so happy I made that decision. It has been about 3 weeks since my surgery and I am healing as expected with no complications. The service and procedure for everything was​​​ exceptional. My dentist referred me to Dr. Mowry because I needed to get my wisdom teeth taken out. He explained the whole procedure and was very thorough when answering any question I had. Even before the procedure, one of his assistants saw that I was nervous and told me that it was a very common procedure​ and that people tend to overthink it, but reassured me that I would be fine and it made me feel so much better. I had to fill out a lot of paper work and they all answered my questions that I had concerns regarding about a wisdom tooth. At Dr. Mowry's office, they make sure the patient is well-educated about their needs such as having a nurse explaining my wisdom teeth and machines that they used, and they showed me a 90's video of more info about the teeth. Dr. Mowry is a very gentle and soft spoken guy. I wasn't expecting anything much from him at first, but he was very informative, and he gave me a lot of options to think about. My only two criticisms were I wished the doctor's staff told me that my insurance was out-of-network. They only told me that they accepted in over the phone, and by the end of the visit, they told me I had to pay certain fees because I was out-of-network. Day of surgery (i seriously thought I was going to have a heart attack, DONT EVER GOOGLE how the surgery is done right before your appointment) everyone was so sweet and calming, I didn't go under since my insurance didn't cover it but they had this AMAZING IV drug that knocked me out and I didn't feel a thing, I woke up thinking the surgery was like 10 mins but it was almost 2 hours, once I was home day of surgery they called to check up on me 5-6 hours later. Dr. Mowry and his staff are very knowledgeable and do their best to make you feel comfortable. I went in on Monday to take the rest of my wisdom teeth out. It is now Thursday and I have not experienced any pain at all! I followed their after care instructions to ice my face to minimize swelling. Because of that, I don't have an extreme chipmunk face. Excellent treatment. Dr. Mowry actually takes time to interact with the patient and not just with his assistants, unlike other dentists that I have experienced. Before I even knew it, my extraction was completed! There was only minimal bleeding but often depends on the person. His dental assistants were also very good and they even call afterwards to check up on you. I have only experienced one truly good dentist on this side of the border, but with Dr. Mowry that now makes two outstanding professionals. PS: he's also a PPO dentist. read more

I felt uncomfortable the whole appointment and the assistants in the front only added to my anxiety because of their mannerisms. Definitely not recommending anyone to go here especially not myself. I am generally terrified of going to the dentist. I avoid it at all costs, But recently I had 2 teeth that were cracked and needed pulling. But, his staff was fun and friendly and got me laughing which calmed me down a little. He came in and was kind and calm and very throughly reviewed my medical history with me and asked me specific questions about things that might effect my treatment, and that made me feel safe. He explained to me what he was going to do to me before he did it. His staff let me know the exact cost out of pocket before they treated me. I needed two teeth pulled and I asked if I wanted to stop after 1 if I could, and they said yes. But, I didn't need to stop because the first tooth was out in a flash and when he asked me if we could go on to the second tooth, I agreed because it was much less painful and traumatic - and much faster and easier than I anticipated! I did everything they prescribed when I got home, antibiotics for infection, Ibuprofen and ice packs for swelling, kept wet tea bags on the open wound to manage the bleeding, and today, the day after, I woke up expecting to be in horrid pain after everything wore off, and I'm...NOT in pain. It's slightly tender to the touch, my face is a little puffy, but not the horrors i imagined. A very good dental experience. read more

I had received a referal from my Dentist about a jaw operation procedure to remove a embedded lower left crown. It took me two weeks to get in to see him and I was hesitant because I had to fill out the confidentiality forms. And I was just up to my own jaw problem of it might get worse on me . So I was counsel and I did not even want to have his staff redo an X-ray of 7 years ago. The Staff showed me a short film on the different problems a person could have due to the procedures and I took it with a grain of salt. Afterwards Dr. Mowry came in and explained that what he sees on the old X-ray that their was some complications and he advise that I go ahead an re do the X-ray. I did w/ consent and be hold the cavity of the tooth has gotten worse and he advised me to let my insurance take care of it as soon as I make the decision on removing it. I did appreciate he directness and the problems that I would face but I like the directness and Dr Mowry made me feel I was a very important client and care as I did on my health. He gave me a copy of the X-rays to share w/my Dr. as well. And the visit was worth two weeks to get in. Also his staff are very customer service and very pleasent. I do recommend that if you need any Maxillofacial surgery done. I recently had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Mowry (11/10/2015) and the experience I had here was amazing. Firstly, the office is not hard to find at all, right behind the 24 Hour Fitness Center, and there is plenty of parking even during lunch time. The consultation was easy to schedule and the appointment itself went very smoothly. The staff was extremely welcoming and answered all the questions my family had concerning the wisdom tooth removal procedure. Dr. Mowry himself also answered any additional questions we had. They were sure to give very clear instructions as what to do the day before the surgery, surgery day, and post surgery. The surgery itself went great. The staff and Dr. Mowry made sure I was comfortable before beginning the procedure. I don't remember a thing about the surgery itself (as I'd like) and the staff made sure that I was well enough to leave the facility and even helped me to the car afterwards. I knew exactly what to expect concerning pain as him and the staff told me the day of my consultation, so there was no surprises in that sense. Post-operation, the office was kind enough to call my home to ask how I was feeling and asked if I had any additional questions or concerns. This made me feel extremely well-taken care of and made me rest easy as all my questions were answered. Finally, today (11/23/2015) was my post-op check-up where the doctor checked the holes and instructed after care. He made sure to answer any questions or concerns if I had any, but at this point, since they've been great about answering my questions before, I had none.
