I would give this a negative 5 stars but obviously we can't. Let me start from the moment we walked in. So first the girls who were servers were arguing about who was going to take our table and were we should sit. Then when we went to sit the had to move tables for us because we had 7 of us , but had us help them move them I felt like that was unprofessional. Like do ur own job. Then as we sat they took forever to even bring us utensils, drinks or chips just had us sitting there like idiots for a while. When they finally took our order and brought us stuff the drinks finally came out after 20 min of being there still no napkins at this time. The horchata taste like faucet water. Our food finally came out the gorditas taste like shit they don't have anything in them beside the meat and one sope on top of the other. The Macho burritos was poorly made and not even with a "macho" tortilla it was made with like 3 small taco tortillas so the burrito fell apart. The only thing good here was the carnitas. Lastly we found a hair in my daughters carne asada quesadilla and when we showed the server she tried to take it apart even though it was clearly stuck in the cheese to try and make an excuse. The service was also shitty. I will never be returning just be mindful if u decide to come here. read more

The food was so amazing that I felt overwhelmingly compelled to write a yelp review. As a Mexican food connoisseur I give this place five starts. The food reminds me of the genuine authentic ranch style comida I ate while staying at Mike's Sky Rancho just outside of Ensenada B.C. Mex. Yesterday I had the Chilaquiles and it was so good I came back again for breakfast today and I had the chorizo plate (Plato). Amazing. No extra fluff, just a perfect plate of chorizo con huevos y frijoles with the tortillas on the side in the little tortilla warmer. This is my new spot when I'm in town for sure. read more

First time there it was a pleasant experience. I enjoyed the music videos on the television and the decor on the walls. I'm not a fussy guy here so as long as I have a cold water and a menu when I get in things are going good here. I initially came just to get a bean and cheese burrito but found out they don't have one. *cry* oh well went with the carnitas dinner plate and I wasn't disappointed! I thoroughly enjoy the carnitas and the homemade corn tortillas in which I made little tacos added a bit of the salsa and cabbage with a squeeze of lemon just a tastey little joint. We enjoyed a delicious home cooked carnitas dinner here. The service was exceptionally friendly and fast. Be sure to ask for the fresh hand made corn tortillas. They come out piping hot and melt in you mouth! The price is very reasonable as are the portions. read more

Found this place on our trip to Yuma and glad we did. It's a nice clean restaurant with great service and awsome food. We had gorditas de chicharron con nopales, gorditas de carnitas, taco de birria and menudo all very tasty and authentic. My daughter also ordered agua de jamaica and it was not the instant kind (another plus) all for a good price. They don't have an extensive menu but they do have the "staples" and they are delicious. Saw some breakfast conbinations on a chalkboard and really thinking about giving them a visit tomorrow. Place is a little bit hidden so keep your eyes open. Highly recommended. read more

My husband and I love this place! They have the best carnitas. We share a 1/2 lb order with a side of rice and beans. Great salsa, served with fresh cabbage and tomatoes. Excellent chips. Both corn and tortillas are delicious. Went to this place for the first time today. A friend recommended it. We were waiting for approximately 10 minutes. It was full with people, but not to the point where anyone could at least acknowledge we were there. Worst customer service in all of Yuma. The reason for the crappy review has nothing to do with the opinion that they might have good food. They absolutely refused to acknowledge we existed and even made eye contact with 2 out of the 3 that were in our party. The direct reason I believe is because I was wearing my Trump 2020 hat. Great place, very authentic. I love that they have nopales, most restaurants don't offer them. They make their corn tortillas by hand, delicious! I usually have the nopal tacos, which aren't on the menu, but they make them for me anyway. Bean tostadas are delicious, chilaquiles are very good too, though quite different than others I've had. The hubs always gets the carnitas mixtas, and he loves them. I can highly recommend the Jamaica, it's not super sweet like lots of places. Customer service is always top-notch! read more

My first time in Arizona and during my 10 day stay, I ate at this restaurant 3 times! Their charred beans and charred pepper salsa is AMAZING! I tried carnitas at many places but this place by far serves the best carnitas in my opinion. Not only was the food delicious, the service from Carmen was excellent. She was so friendly and she remembered us from our first meal there. We got the meet the chefs and the couple who makes everything was just as friendly. I come to Yuma Arizona frequently on travel with business and every time I try a new restaurant. This time I chose the Carnitas El Taste restaurant and I was really impressed. I had an extremely good meal with charming authentic appeal. I had the Carne Asada and it was amazing. I actually was impressed with the salsa & chips which came with a medley of cabbage cilantro, tomato, and onions. I had to ask what to do with it. The waitress smiled and told me people put it on the chips with salsa and lime. I tried it and let me tell you, I found a new way to eat chips and salsa. It was quite on point! The owner and Cook came over and asked me to try the Birria which I have never heard of. She mixed it with onions, some cilantro and salsa with a soup. OMG! That's what I'm getting next time. Only good thing here is horchata, food taste like yesterday's left over lol the chips were also good but everything else made me feel like I should go to my moms house and eat left overs. The Salsas and agua frescas are made fresh daily too. The food is made fresh to your order and that's the best money can buy. I've been here twice in a day multiple times. I sometimes try to eat at other places but NOTHING COMES CLOSE TO THIS PLACE . Don't sleep on carnitas el taste. They now serve beer because some people can't eat carnitas without drinking beer. Coke in a bottle...they have it. Juan Palmer's are delicious. It's a family run business and the owners are absolutely amazing and aim to please their customers. I feel like a part of the family. Tried this place out recently & we were really disappointed. I had tacos & they came out bare with just the meat. There was a little bowl of shredded cabbage on the table to use & that's it. The asada meat was dry & tasteless, the Al pastor meat was on the dry side but the taste was pretty good & the fish taco was ok also. My husband wasn't very impressed with his burrito either. We have tried many Mexican eateries in Yuma & this is hands down the most tasteless one. Won't be back. read more
