Carnitas is a fast and convenient place to pick up tacos or burritos. It's in a little strip mall and has free parking. The place is small with a few tables outside on the sidewalk and half a dozen tables inside. There isn't much to say about the interior except it's narrow and cluttered. Customers order cafeteria style and choose what ingredients to add to their burritos or tacos. Guacamole is .99 extra per scoop which I think is unreasonably high. The food I have gotten here is all right. A bag of chips costs $2.50 and salsa costs extra too. Staff is polite but seems disinterested. In my opinion neither the food quality nor dining experience merits the prices they charge. I don't think I would choose to go here again but if someone else suggested it I would go along.

Supposedly created to provide an authentic experience of tex mex food to chipotle lovers which didn't go that well. Overall pricey sub par food, no free chips or even salsa. A bit disappointing experience, only bright side was the fish taco that had grilled mahi mahi which seemed to be marinated in spices and had a kick to it. The salsa and other sauces were without much flavor, the chicken and chorizo bowl were ok nothing which you can't get at Chipotle. Would think having a place in heart of bridgewater would do some justice to the taco lovers but very dissatisfied. Friendly staff and ample seating options, place does gets busy during peak hours

Good, not great. Cool looking little eatery. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a worker, I checked the menu and asked for a shrimp taco. She said it'll be about 8 min, which I didn't feel like waiting for. So I opted for one carnitas and one short rib. She made them quick. I sat and ate. I was unsure Which was carnitas and which was short rib. One of them was very sweet and although I ate it, it was only ok. The other eat good. Also, each taco is a hard shell wrapped in a soft shell with lettuce and tomatoes, also weird. The place looked authentic but in my experience it seemed liked they tried to Americanize the food. I would give it another try.

The decor was cheesy but the food was good! I ordered something simple, a quesadilla with salsa, but ut tasted extra yummy. I think they buttered the torillia hehe

TLDR: I once loved this place and gave it a 5 star review, but after unprincipled, illogical, and undeservingly disgusting service, I will never return here again. It's been sometime since I've visited an establishment and received such unfriendly, ill-mannered, disrespectful and just downright nonsensical & unprincipled service. I'm very happy that this experience is not the norm for me because otherwise I would probably never eat out again. It's a shame that I have to write off Carnitas Taco Factory because I have always spoken highly of their food. The service was never remarkable but it wasn't f***ing anger-inducing either. I visited today during lunch hours very hungry and tired. I walked in and the vibes are already off but I am ignoring it because I just want to get my food and leave. I order a burrito bowl and go through the line to build it when I get to the end and have a small wait before I can cash out. I decide to go to the condiments area to see if they have the Green Pepper hot sauce I usually like to put on my bowl because otherwise I would have to ask them to put it in a container for me and since I like a lot, I would rather do it myself to not hold up the line. I ask for her to hand me the Green Pepper hot sauce so I can put it in the to-go container myself, something I've done before without issue. Because why would it be an issue? They have bottles upon bottles of hot sauce readily available. But she doesn't do it and waits to speak to another woman, the one who always has her hair in a ponytail and wears a very large wedding ring. I don't know for sure, but it always seemed as I f woman #2 was married to the owner. She seemed like the one in charge and speaks English the strongest. Woman #1 says something in Spanish to woman #2, and then woman #2 proceeds to tell me there is a CHARGE to use the larger container for the hot sauce. Excuse me? What the actual F***? That was NEVER the case beforehand. Also, it doesn't making any f***ing sense because if I were to eat in the store, then I would be able to use as much hot sauce as I please, no extra cost. So why do I now need to pay an upcharge to put hot sauce in a larger container to go ? I point this out to her and you know what this woman says to me? She sneers at me and goes, "Well then, you can eat it here and use as much as you like." I couldn't believe it. As someone who is very logical and accommodating my head started to exploded but I kept my cool because I'm smart enough to know that as a Black woman in an unfriendly establishment (that at one point had a Blue Lives Matter sticker on the window), I'm not going to lose my cool and get the cops called on me. The wildest part is, woman #2 wasn't even friendly to the white family ahead of me trying to make conversation with her ! I take the small container and just pay and leave because I needed to get out the store before I got into an argument. I've never felt threatened at losing my temper in a restaurant like that before. The situation was so utterly ridiculous and such a stupid power play for what? And unsurprisingly, I ran out of hot sauce before I finished my bowl, as expected. Because I've eaten here A MULTITUDE OF TIMES (almost 30 checks-in alone on Yelp). The food NEEDS hot sauce because otherwise there isn't enough flavor on it for me. So that's it for me and Carnitas Taco Factory! This place was swarming with negative energy and I have no intention to return to such a low-vibe, low-class place again.

Great service, quick and courteous. Will definitely come back! Keep on making these flavorful tacos! I would recommend a cleaner layout and more seasonings on the meats.

Got here around 2pm to an empty restaurant so it was nice for my overtired but refuse to nap toddler and my 9 month old daughter who refuses to sit still. Restaurant was very simple with tables along the left side and restrooms on the right. I wouldn't say it's a big place but it's a decent size. Since it was just us, we ordered right away. I got the birria tacos and my husband got the steak enchiladas. Holy birria those tacos were fantastic. The taco shells had just the right amount of crispy softness where it wasn't overly cooked to make it a hard shell. When you bit into it, the juices came out from the other side of my taco and the meted cheese was nice and stringy- if you know what I mean. The meat was cooked perfectly where it wasn't too dry and chewy. I drowned my tacos in the sauce they give you and housed my 3 tacos. It was the perfect amount where I was full after eating but not overly stuffed. My husband loved his steak enchilada. I tried a few bites and I loved the spicy kick to it...so if you're not a spicy eater, I'd skip out on this. It was the type of spice here you know the dish is spicy but it's not overpowering where I feel like my tongue and esophagus is on fire. My husband loved the little kick but was still able to enjoy the meal without wanted to eat a tub of ice cream. He also ordered the mango shake which was absolutely delicious. Super creamy and that mango sweetness was perfect. Our hostess was great- she talked of my daughter and made sure we were ok even though we were the only ones there! I definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Surprised. This place looks dingy from the outside, but the food, service and prices were great…read more Nothing fancy, just good. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed
