    Mole de Pollo
    Jonathon A.

I've been ordering from and eating here since they opened. Let me tell you!!!!! The food is AMAZING! As authentic Mexican cuisine form a small hole in the wall restaurant. I visited Mexico in 2018 and had Mole for the first time in my life and I fell in love with the dish, because of its richness, flavors, spiciness and decadence. Let me tell you I have been on a mission to find Mole with that exact flavor profile and have been let down time and time again! I have tried every Latino restaurant in the NJ and NY area and I could never get Mole dish that compares, until now. Tango's Mole tastes EXACTLY like what I had in a small town in Oaxaca MX I thought I would never find this ever in my life and I would just have to visit Mexico to get this again. Tango's taste is evident that they made this from scratch and put a lot of pride, culture and dedication in getting this right. I will never eat mole anywhere else but at Tango's. My go to is the Mole de pollo sometimes they are sold out of it but I end up with the enchiladas de mole Tip: Do not order the mole de pollo on any food delivery app, because the delivery person . Will spill all the food in the bag, 9 out of 10 times when I order the food is spilt in the bag due to the delivery person not putting one hand under the container to support it. Otherwise to that the food is sooooo amazing. I posted a pic of my take out, sorry it looked messy but I was so eager to dig in and was like "I never left a review for this place" so I had to put my spoon down and write this review quickly. Try them you will not be disappointed.

What a find. This is deliciously Mexican food! I'm happy to share my thoughts. I came for lunch. Sat outside. Immediate service. Ordered steak tacos. Served three generous tacos with chopped steak. Avocado. Lime. Radish and shredded lettuce. Perfect. Truly a delicious lunch. I'll be back.

YOU NEED TO STOP AND TRY TANGOS!!! I don't know how else to say it. This is place is GREAT from top to bottom. The ambiance is inviting, the service was excellent, and the food is SO FRESH and AUTHENTIC, you won't be disappointed! My boyfriend and I were so impressed with this spot and will be returning for future date nights! Our recommendation, get the FAMOUS BIRRIA Tacos with a Coke!

My god I was not expecting the food here to be so good. It's hard to find great Mexican food this far north but Tangos had me dancing left and right with their fresh, delicious food. It really tasted like everything was made from scratch. The "Mole de camarones" had a slight grittiness to it that made it seem like the ingredients had just been ground up. It was spicy, I'm clearly not cut from a premade sauce. The shrimps were enormous! Overall the dishes were well worth the price. In an area where everything is upcharged for no reason, every dollar spent at Tangos is well worth it (on the flip side, the tamale is an absolute steal. $3 for something that tastes like a loving grandmother made it. Honestly the BEST tamale I ever had). Oh god now I'm remember the shrimp tacos. Most refreshing tacos I've ever had. 100% recommend. Of course, the service was excellent too. The owner was kind and humorous. Very attentive to our needs, bringing us water and extras before we even thought to ask! And the restaurant itself is very clean, temperate, well lit, spacious. Definitely will be coming back again and again!

Dinner here last night. Overall pretty good! Family owned which is always nice. We sat outside though the inside seems nice as well. Complementary Chips and salsa were good! Salsa was spicy! Which I like but my fiancé does not so be warned there. For the apps we got the steamed clams mixed in a red sauce with chorizo, peppers and onion. Very good and size able clams! We also split a tamale. It was good, but a bit on the spicer side. I got the Chimichurri steak - cooked medium. That was solid as well - rice and beans were great. My fiancé got the mix fajitas and they were very good! I'd go with that next time! While very good, nothing was beyond belief. Service was good too. I would come back!

    Nachos

Ordered the nachos and birria tacos. For Birria tacos food was very bland which is surprising. The nachos-asked for literally just steak, Pico, quac and cheese. Came home with nachos with unmelted cheese, beans, lettuce, Pico and sour cream. Steak was so bland also-don't think it was seasoned at all. also was very heavy on ingredients little chips. Literally had no flavor even with all those ingredients.

This is literally one of my favorite restaurants and I go here all the time!! The birria tacos are my favorite thing from here and the clams appetizer (picture) is soooo good. I've NEVER had a bad meal here. The owner is incredibly nice and makes the experience awesome. I've ate indoors and at their outdoor tables and the inside is always clean and nice. Food comes out super quick too. I would recommend this place to everyone I love it here!!

    Burrito

This place lacks flavor and sazon. It's expensive for the food quality and taste that they served. There are more restaurants that are worth your money and time in the area than this place. We had the burritos which aren't a tough item to make. Their mixture of veggies, rice, and carne asada made for a poor flavor combination. The carne asada lacked salt and tasted like a piece of rubber. Everything else was average. Maybe their lunch specials are better than their dinner choices.

This spot of right on the Main Street. It's as local as it gets. The food is fresh and deliciously prepared and it's quickly becoming our go to spot for Mexican food. The servers are super nice and go out of their way to make sure the customers are taken care of. Love this place

Have been meaning to try Tangos for a while now, Elias the owner, also own Phoenix Cafe across the street, which is a great place for breakfast or lunch. Elias is a great guy, so nice & extremely hard working so I had a feeling that Tangos would be a great place. Needless to say was nod disappointed in the least, as soon as we walked in the decor was nice, great music playing and the staff was super friendly. Last night was rainy and cool, the normal buzzing streets of Somerville on a Sunday night were fairly quiet, we had the place to ourselves, we did get there on the late side however. Nicole, our waitress, was super sweet, brought us drinks quickly as we looked over the menu & complimentary chips with salsa. Elias came by & was his usual friendly, happy self. We chose to share an appetizer of Coconut Shrimp, pounded flat, & pan fried, served on a bed of greens with a balsamic glaze. Honestly the best coconut shrimp I've ever tasted. I only wished their were more of them, 3 to the dish. I had the Chimichurri Steak, the skirt steak was cooked to my liking, medium rare, sauce was on the side, served with rice & black beans. Delicious, way too much for me to eat, took home for lunch though. My friend had Steak & shrimp, NY Strip with Jumbo Shrimp in a garlic sauce, also came with rice & beans, I had a taste, was also cooked to his liking & tasted great, nice char on the steak, very flavorful. No room for desert, maybe next time? Will definitely be back. There menu isn't huge, but has a nice variety of things for anyone to be able to eat there, meat lovers, vegetarian, or pescatarian. Nice salads on menu. Good lunch items & kid menu. Very family friendly. Nice atmosphere & BYOB. Would be a good place for a small gathering or birthday party.

So upon doing my research I came across this restaurant. Now of course upon reading reviews everyone said to get there early because the line can get long especially on a Saturday and Sunday morning. So we arrived around 8:30 on Saturday and we were seated right away because it was only two of us . The service was excellent we were seated right away . Our waiter came out and gave us the rundown of the menu . They had a promo menu because of the Devil Wears Prada movie . I did get a specialty non alcoholic drink from the menu which was excellent. We ordered the French toast and the avocado toast with scrambled eggs and it came with smoked salmon on sourdough bread . The French toast was so good and moist you didn't even need to add additional syrup . The food was delicious and the portion sizes are perfect . The restaurant is cozy so if you have a big party make reservations. But you won't be disappointed I can't wait to visit Brunch by De Martino again whenever I come back to New Jersey . Please check them out you won't regret it .

My family and I have been supporting the Martino's Cuban Restaurant family restaurants for years,…read moregoing back to the original Martino's from his dad's side (which we truly miss). So coming here carries a bit of nostalgia for us. This concept feels very different from the original. It's definitely a more modern, upscale take. Portions are smaller, prices are higher, and the menu feels more elevated with a mix of Cuban-inspired and American flavors rather than strictly traditional Cuban comfort food. That said, the food is genuinely very good. The Cuban sandwich was easily one of the best we've had in New Jersey. Unlike many places that mostly use ham with a thin layer of pork, this one had thick, flavorful pieces of pork that made it feel much more authentic. A few other favorites: - The tostones with guacamole were a great starter. - Their chocolate latte used to be one of our favorites (sadly it seems to have been replaced by a raspberry chocolate version, which wasn't for us). - The seasonal pumpkin iced latte was excellent. - The strawberry banana waffles were more than enough to share. - The scrambled eggs and thick-cut bacon were fresh and delicious. We spent about $140 for breakfast for a family of four, so it's definitely on the pricier side, but it felt fitting for a special occasion like Mother's Day. A heads-up: reservations are only accepted for parties of six or more, so smaller groups are first come, first served. On Mother's Day, we waited about an hour after arriving at 8:30 AM, but their digital waitlist system made it easy to track our place in line while running errands nearby. Do we miss the old Martino's? Absolutely. The larger portions and casual family feel were special to us. But this restaurant offers something different--more polished, more curated, and still very enjoyable. I'd recommend it for brunch dates, family celebrations, or when you want to treat yourself.

We were the first two in the room, but there ended up being a few very loud parties that also ended up sat in the room with us - totally not the fault of a restaurant for that, but just know that sound carries in the room on the opposite side of the hall from the bar. The vibes of the old house were great though! Once sat, our waitress was alright. She was kind of quiet (especially once the louder groups were in) and not overly friendly, but food and drink delivery was prompt so that was nice. I got a cider and my coworker had a couple of beers. We split the caramel shrimp (very tasty) and I also had the cheddar IPA soup. The soup was good but could have used maybe just a bit more salt for my taste. He wound up getting the pub burger and said it was delicious. I had the BLT and added fried chicken. The chicken wasn't the fried chicken I imagined (not as breaded/crispy) but the sandwich was really good! Overall, it was a neat spot that I'd go back to if I was in town.
