There were several things I really like about Del Mar Motors: 1. Amazing deal. Audrey really worked with me and tried to get me as close as I could to my sweet spot monthly payment. 2. Customer service. Audrey was quick. I like quick. I know she's busy and I can't be the only person she's dealing with, but she was always fast to answering my questions. She also texts. I like texts too. People don't realize your phone rings and you can't always get to it. Than it's a back and forth game of phone tag. I texted her a question and I know when she had a moment, she quickly responded. It made my life so much easier since our deal was done during work hours; while I was in and out of appts and client meetings. 3. Honesty. Rare one since no ones honest anymore. Audrey really pushed me to go through my local credit union for a better loan. Lazy me was willing to go through her loan company because I didn't want to go a local bank and sit through the process. I honestly think she told me more than once to go. It was pretty much a weirdly genuine local credit union sales pitch/Mom lecture to do the smart thing. And I cannot thank her enough for really pushing it. I got an amazing rate and pretty much skipped out of the bank. 4. Easy. She's super chill. We were a little pressed on time considering we were leaving Bakersfield before Del Mar opened so I was having a slight panic attack getting the loan approval in time. Come to find out, I was the only one worried. She basically had everything situated and under control. 5. Nice. Lots of companies lack this trait. Super sad, but true. She even recommended food places in a boojie city or chill city lol. It's pretty obvious we had a fantastic experience. I thought my precious car buying experiences were easy, but she kind of won. I read their negative reviews and I'm really surprised. If you're considering Del Mar, don't let those reviews sway you the wrong way.

We happened to walk by a Tesla store with cars in it. I was surprised to see this kind of setup. I'm used to seeing a store with phones in it, but not cars LOL. Anyway, I saw a robot near the entrance door and I was curious so I walked in to check it out. It was the Tesla Bot. Unfortunately, it wasn't turned on at the time. I find it interesting that they made a bot, too. What next? It was a good showroom of Tesla cars. I don't own a Tesla, but my brother does. He was fascinated by the different models. It was neat to sit inside a Tesla and see its nice features. Funny, the first time I sat in a Tesla, I didn't know how to open the door... I probably still don't LOL. I spoke with Grant Ruthenberg and told him the model I was interested in. He explained the he receives a fee from the dealership but he'd be working to get me the best price. He got back to me the very next day with what I was looking for. Ever the skeptic, I ran his proposal and the invoice through ChatGPT and asked if I'd gotten a reasonable deal. ChatGPT answered, "FINAL VERDICT: This is a fair, clean, and pretty good deal. You could spend weeks calling dealers and possibly not do better. You're not being overcharged. The numbers match reality. And the transparency is excellent." So who was I to argue? I told Grant to go ahead with the purchase and he told me the car could be delivered the next day. I was informed about the ETA of delivery and given a more precise ETA as they had more info (the car was coming from Riverside and I'm in Bonita). Grant had me sign the paperwork and explained what I was signing when questions arose. I gave him the check and then we went out, sat in the SUV and he explained all the new features. He set up the Apple CarPlay and paired my garage door opener so that I no longer had to use the remote. When I no longer had questions about the Palisade he graciously moved my very heavy dog crates to the new car! Above and beyond! This is the best car buying experience I've had in my 71 years and I will be recommending Branco Motors to anyone in the market for a new car.
