Came in pretty late to the bar because it was one of the only few places open. It wasn't too busy so it was understandable that the bar tender was talking to their regulars and wasn't aware of new people coming in. Waited a bit and was able to get my order in. I asked for no cilantro and no onions on my steak taco and the bar tender put my order in. I didn't see anything on the receipt saying no onion or cilantro so I asked her again if she put in no onion or cilantro and she confirmed and said that the cooks will know. I got my order and went to work. Tried to eat in my car before work and lo and behold there was cilantro and onion. If you have any food preferences or dietary restrictions just make sure to double check your food after you get it. We drive past here a few times a week and kept saying we need to try it, finally, we did. We were generally pleased with just minor things we did not like. This is a sports bar like you find in most cities, someplace for better pub food, larger groups, and tons of TVs everywhere. Pros: Faster service, friendly staff, tons of TVs playing sports I've never even heard of along with all the typical stuff. Great playlist. Cons: Way too much salt, on everything. Too loud, I don't like any place where you have to yell at the people sitting across from you or next to you. It's not a dance club, it's a restaurant and bar. Because of the music volume, I would not bring business clients here because I go out with vendors or clients to talk to them, not yell at them. If your into loud music in the middle of the day or a date night it might be fine for you. But otherwise a great option if you like restaurants like BJ's Bennigans, Wild Wings, or Fords. read more

We've been going here for years. It is never super busy or loud, except on evenings with football games. But those nights, we eat on the patio, with fans in the summer and heaters in the winter, and it's always nice. Super kid friendly and the waitresses are always lovely, kind, and helpful. For example, they brought me a sample of soup last time I asked about the soup of the day, clam chowder, to see if I liked it before I ordered. Everything we have tried has been fantastic, mostly. It's affordable, great food, good atmosphere, and there's all varieties of food: southern, BBQ, salads, tacos, burgers, chicken, seafood, pasta, and more. The brisket isn't our favorite, nor is the French onion soup or French dip, but they just put their own unique spin on them. Everything else we've tried has been delicious, and their ranch is sooo good and blue cheese dressing is so thick and full of blue cheese. Now our waitress was great, really great lady. The place stinks and definitely needs a deep clean. The food was mediocre at best, think chilis. I think the hardest thing was just how BAD it smelled like a middle school locker room. From where we sat we could see the kitchen and the food coming out. What was gross seeing them stack plates and plates on top of each other. A lot of the staff stood around the kitchen and just talked instead of actually waiting on tables or running food. I think it was a manger, she was wearing all black and I tried to grab her attention due to finding hair in our food and she just continued to walk by. No. The meat was chewy and though it looked good there was no real flavor and very little cheese and onion. $15.99 I took half of the sandwich home and cooked up extra onions and added cheese. It was still not that great because of the meat. My friend had the Philly Cheese and was not impressed. Looked good but not enough cheese and it was missing something, mayo? Tons of TVs in this large pubby\sports bar. Large selection of draft beers & special cocktails. Food is pretty good and standard: wings, burgers, wraps, salads, sandwiches. Plenty of apps to share. Staff is OK to good. Friendly enough. This is a chain like an Applebee's so staff can be new to the game. But it is what it is. My husband got the tunable and he really enjoyed that. I also ordered a spicy margarita and I enjoyed their bacon inspired rim, but the drink itself was just a bit too sweet for me. The spicy margarita also was not spicy at all! We are from Arizona so perhaps we are spoiled when it comes to good spicy margaritas! This was just today's experience. Not that ale house is always like this. I am a delivery driver. I have picked up many orders from this location. Sadly, only 1 time was the food even done. Today's experience went as follows. I had an order to pick up for a guest. I went online and ordered a to go chicken strips with fries. Figuring mine be done by the time I dropped off my delivery order. I entered and had to flag someone down as no employee was waiting. Orders weren't done, so I waited. And wait some more. Finally, after about 10 minutes, my order, which was placed after my delivery order, was completed. Then I sit with my hot food and wait for another 25 minutes for my guest order. In total, I waited way longer than needed. By then, my personal food was cold. Yeah, limp fries, yummy, right?! I was more worried that the guest who had Placer her online order through a delivery service was mad at me due to ale house time. I was told by the employee who handed me the food that there was only 1 cook. CLOSE online and mobile orders than. Don't wait for peoples time. It cost money. It was Friday night. The wife got a mean hankering for Cheddars but that place was packed so we came here. We have lived 1.5 miles from Carolina Ale House for the last 11 years and the last time we ate here was about that long ago. Long enough to forget why we do not eat here. I attempted to order a ribeye but they were out of ribeye amongst several other food items. I settled for a sirloin and was told it was the last one! This was at 8pm on a Friday. Clearly management is incompetent and now I remember why I have not been back the Carolina Ale House. I guess this is some third world country and I should be grateful to have any food at all. It is hard to believe that this is a franchise restaurant. The place was not packed either so I was wondering why we still had to wait 20 minutes for a table.
