Steak taco with cilantro and onion after asking for no cilantro or onions.
    Hen N.

Came in pretty late to the bar because it was one of the only few places open. It wasn't too busy so it was understandable that the bar tender was talking to their regulars and wasn't aware of new people coming in. Waited a bit and was able to get my order in. I asked for no cilantro and no onions on my steak taco and the bar tender put my order in. I didn't see anything on the receipt saying no onion or cilantro so I asked her again if she put in no onion or cilantro and she confirmed and said that the cooks will know. I got my order and went to work. Tried to eat in my car before work and lo and behold there was cilantro and onion. If you have any food preferences or dietary restrictions just make sure to double check your food after you get it. I'm sure it was a simple mistake but it was worrisome because I had double checked with the bar tender prior to it being made.

We drive past here a few times a week and kept saying we need to try it, finally, we did. We were generally pleased with just minor things we did not like. This is a sports bar like you find in most cities, someplace for better pub food, larger groups, and tons of TVs everywhere. Pros: Faster service, friendly staff, tons of TVs playing sports I've never even heard of along with all the typical stuff. Great playlist. Cons: Way too much salt, on everything. Too loud, I don't like any place where you have to yell at the people sitting across from you or next to you. It's not a dance club, it's a restaurant and bar. Because of the music volume, I would not bring business clients here because I go out with vendors or clients to talk to them, not yell at them. If your into loud music in the middle of the day or a date night it might be fine for you. But otherwise a great option if you like restaurants like BJ's Bennigans, Wild Wings, or Fords.

We've been going here for years. It is never super busy or loud, except on evenings with football games. But those nights, we eat on the patio, with fans in the summer and heaters in the winter, and it's always nice. Super kid friendly and the waitresses are always lovely, kind, and helpful. For example, they brought me a sample of soup last time I asked about the soup of the day, clam chowder, to see if I liked it before I ordered. Everything we have tried has been fantastic, mostly. It's affordable, great food, good atmosphere, and there's all varieties of food: southern, BBQ, salads, tacos, burgers, chicken, seafood, pasta, and more. The brisket isn't our favorite, nor is the French onion soup or French dip, but they just put their own unique spin on them. Everything else we've tried has been delicious, and their ranch is sooo good and blue cheese dressing is so thick and full of blue cheese. The salads are PACKED with toppings and so tasty, and the spicy fried chicken sandwich is stupendous as well. We come here often, and recommend it to everyone we know.

Friday night and the place is busy. The restaurant appeared clean. Was in the outside section (omg was it hot- they need two fans on the outside porch for NC humid days) and it was clean. Servers are polite and friendly. Tried to get a drink at the bar and she saw us, but I still had to call her over. Ended up deciding to have supper inside. Hostess was nice and friendly. I got the French dip that came with onion soup. I truly enjoyed the soup. It has a wonderful flavor with just a hint of sweetness. The sandwich was brisket, grilled onions, Swiss, provolone on a nicely toasted hoagie roll but it was just okay. It did not come with Au Jus. I guess they wanted us to dip it in the onion soup. No. The meat was chewy and though it looked good there was no real flavor and very little cheese and onion. $15.99 I took half of the sandwich home and cooked up extra onions and added cheese. It was still not that great because of the meat. My friend had the Philly Cheese and was not impressed. Looked good but not enough cheese and it was missing something, mayo? My friends have been here before. Me, first time. They did not like the meal last time but gave this place one more try. We all agreed that we would only come back for the soup. Sorry. I do like that they state on the receipt suggestion tips and that it is based on the total before tax.

4 Stars based on the sports bar type establishment. We've been to the location in Raleigh NC and this one was very similar as it is a chain. Plenty of parking as it is in a strip mall area. Tons of TVs in this large pubby\sports bar. Large selection of draft beers & special cocktails. Food is pretty good and standard: wings, burgers, wraps, salads, sandwiches. Plenty of apps to share. Staff is OK to good. Friendly enough. This is a chain like an Applebee's so staff can be new to the game. But it is what it is. Carolina Ale House is a good bet to catch a game at any location.

Service is great. Food is alright. The side salad was pretty fresh. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich is huge. Smothered in sauce, not crispy anymore, but still tender on the inside. It seems like they fry the chicken and then pour the sauce afterwards, so it's soggy? The dry rub wings have so much potential (cooked really well) but some of them were really salty. Finally of course the pretzels are so good with that spicy pub cheese.

I came here for an event on a Thursday evening! Plenty of parking available. We were in the back room which was spacious and nice. It was a little dark. The menu was large and had many options. Lots of sandwiches, salads, and tacos and other things. The waitress was very nice and did well with the large group. I ordered the tacos a with fries. The tacos were a little cold and I wish they had more sauce. Very average food. Prices were normal around $15 for 3 tacos. I guess I would try something else if I came back

Not only were we welcomed by the friendly staff into the Friday night busy, festive atmosphere and seated quickly. My hubby even received a cheer for his Philadelphia Eagles Shirt. They also have several options for a vegan . The waitress was excellent navigating our dietary needs / wants. Michaela is a She shine

We enjoy coming on Tuesdays for the pizza deal. Today we ordered the shotgun shrimp appetizer, a side salad, and the 33 Deluxe small pizza. We also decided to try a strawberry and a blackberry lemonade. After a short wait our shrimp and salad were delivered. Both were good. Our lemonades were delicious! Of course the pizza was delivered after we finished our appetizers. The pizza was great. Our server, EmilyB, was great. Always positive and smiling. We also noticed Japanese baseball was on. Didn't expect that honestly. This restaurant always has an active and vibrant atmosphere. There's seating for all types and television screens everywhere. During football season, this place is packed! The reviews are all over the place. We have always had a good experience here. If you're unsure about trying Bubba's 33, I recommend giving it a try. They have a variety that fits almost all appetites.

My thoughts have been compiling for three days and I think I'm finally ready to share them…read more This was a completely last-minute decision. Like, "we're already in the parking lot" last-minute. My daughter chose Bubba's 33 over Mission BBQ (which, for the record, I also have thoughts about, but that's another review). I'd never been to Bubba's before. Between all the hype around town and the endless debates in the local mom groups, I just never bothered. After this experience, I can confidently say my streak will likely continue. If you're looking for a place to waste time, Bubba's 33 absolutely delivers. Generously. Abundantly. Olympic-level time wasting. My 8-year-old and I waited about 20 minutes to be seated, which wasn't a huge deal. We got settled, our server greeted us, brought our drinks, and then apparently entered the Witness Protection Program. For roughly the next hour, she became more myth than employee. Meanwhile, tables seated after us were getting appetizers, entrees, refills, desserts, probably college degrees and retirement plans while we sat there staring at our drinks wondering if we'd somehow become invisible. Eventually our server reappeared and said, "I'm going to check on your food." Perfect. Except I then watched her walk to the POS system, print something, wander around a partition, stop and chat with another table, visit the table behind me, casually migrate to the hostess stand, disappear for about 30 seconds, reappear, make direct eye contact with me, and then immediately go help yet another table. At that point I wasn't sure if she was checking on my food or participating in a scavenger hunt. For context, our incredibly complex order consisted of: * Chicken tenders and fries. * A bowl of chili. That's it. Not a 12-course tasting menu. Not a custom-built wedding cake. Not an endangered truffle flown in from Europe. Chicken tenders. Fries. Chili. I've seen Amazon deliver furniture faster. The truly disappointing part is that we'd actually helped facilitate a jersey and helmet that ended up on their wall. So technically, I've contributed more to the décor than my server contributed to my dining experience. Maybe we caught them on a bad day. Maybe there was some catastrophe in the kitchen. Maybe my food is still being prepared right now as I type this review. All I know is that my first visit to Bubba's 33 somehow felt longer than most relationships I've been in. One star for the drinks arriving before retirement age. One star for teaching my daughter patience. Everything else remains under investigation.

But we also want good food and service. We didn't find any of that here. Some great effort and details on the pirate theme, all the way down to the door knobs in the bathrooms. There are fun pirate statues around the dining room, great for selfies. And there are skeletons and much sailing masts and sails hanging from the ceiling. But it ends there, the staff is not really engaged with the theme, no costumes or pirate accidents. Thats ok too, but we felt the staff was just over worked and too few of them. I would give them a 4 for the decor effort. The food. It was just okay, and really expensive. Priced like it was some destination themed restaurant hitting all the marks but it did not. We don't mind paying top dollar for a great meal. But this was lunch and with no alcohol (we don't drink) are bill was almost $90 for lunch. I had ordered the dry rub winds for an app. Anywhere in the world that means a dry rub on a fried or rarely baked wing and no batter. What I was saved was a chicken nugget like you'd buy in. a bag at the grocery store with maybe a tiny bit of chili powder mixed into the batter. There was no dry rub no the nuggets simply were not very good. My wife ordered a bowl of soup and ribs on the side. She liked the ribs and tangy sauce. The chicken soup had peppers in it which she can't eat. The menu said just like Mom used to make, dies your mom put peppers in her chick soup, not table pepper but actual peppers. I ordered a double cheeseburger and fries. The fries were ok. The waitress asked me how I wanted the meat, from rare to well done. I asked for medium rare, that should have some pink inside and be juicy. I received a well don burger with dried out and tasteless meat. It was served so hot that it melted through the tomato and bread on the bottom. It also came with an onion ring. That was cold limp and dripping with oil. A real disappointment for a $17 dollar burger. Last was the drink, I ordered a diet soda, it tasted like those suicide drinks 8 year old boys make when they take a little of each drink at the soda fountain to be funny and then won't drink it because it was gross.

We went here to shoot pool, they had apparently remodeled and purchased the store next door and expanded. The place looked brighter and cleaner. New looking tables, the bartender Susie was very friendly and helpful. The strike against them was their food or at least their chicken wings. They had these big drum sticks, no flats and they were over cooked and down right just plain BAD. Told the bartender she apologized and said would fix some more but they didn't have any flats again it would be the big drumsticks. We declined and asked to swap for a sandwich. The bartender apparently isn't given the permission to make such an easy decision to keep customers satisify. She had to call the manager and then we waited, and waited over an hour an a half. I finally asked for a credit to my bill, again the bartender had to call the manager. Once the manager arrived she was very nice and apologized for the issues. She credited the food. She asked for us to comeback for a better experience. I will try again and hopefully will give a better report on my next visit. Again the people were nice and the place looked good, it was just the food we ordered and the wait to resolve the issue.
