Highly competent instructors. The staff at CBC are all highly skilled, and will help you improve your technique regardless of your current skill level. 2. Lower prices. The price per lesson at CBC is quite a bit less than the typical franchise studio. 3. Great atmosphere for learning. The staff is very friendly and encouraging, allowing you to learn at whatever pace you feel comfortable with. 4. No contracts. Unlike some franchise operations, you are not pressured into signing any contracts designed to prevent you from switching studios. Since CBC is a such a great studio, they don't have to worry about that.

No connection with the parent....no staff present, or so it seems. Do you even care when you open the door at the end of the class if my child is picked up? You don't even make a connection with a parent to make sure the children are safe... And if there is a problem, there's no one there to speak to, for the child or the parent. No place I want my child going. Need to learn some manners, at the very least....or do you just care about the tuition??? Glad to be out of that place.

Miss April is so creative with providing extra opportunities to dance like fundraisers, summer camps, the Cary Christmas parade, teas, a daddy-daughter dance, etc... Many GE dancers have earned parts in the NC Ballet's Nutcracker productions. Another thing that we really appreciate about Miss April is her noticeable attention to keeping the girls young ladies by not dressing them like tramps when performing. (Just go to the Cary Christmas parade to see!) In addition to a small, quiet waiting room with closed circuit TV to show the children dancing in the main studio, there is a back room in which you can take young children to watch movies or play, and a nice seating area outside. Located in downtown Cary, it is close to parks and the Cary Public Library. Graceful Expressions is a blessing to my family.

In the initial call I mentioned specifically wanting salsa and clarified that I had experience, my partner was already a beginner level and specifically we wanted to learn turns. i was told that the teacher would adapt to our level. However my experience didnt match that initial conversation. The lesson was 20min where they showed us posters on the wall, waltz, "rumba" and 5 minutes of prebasic salsa. I understand that this is a business but I wouldve loved clarity from the beginning. The place was clean, it smell really good and great mirrors

I arrived a little early to find a huge parking lot. Although it is kind of hidden off Falls of Neuse Rd, the building's unique domes made it easy to find. I had just heard of this group in the past week, so I missed that it was faith-based. The spiritual focus was much stronger than I anticipated. When I arrived, I was checked in and told what side to enter when the doors opened. They open 45 minutes before show time. There are 4 rows at the front, followed by a walkway before the stadium, with stadium-style seating in the upper rows. I was in row B for the performance, and it was really close to the stage, so you felt part of it. The auditorium seats 200 patrons, which is a good size and still small enough. I don't think there is a bad seat in the auditorium; it just depends on how close you like to be to the stage. The production was high-quality and energetic, featuring a talented cast. A highlight was that we were all provided a Boarding Pass and on the other side was the ticket #, the passenger's name, cabin type, age and gender. I received a ticket for Martin Markoff, aged 35. Then, at the end of the show, in the lobby, we could go to the class our passenger had attended and learn whether they were among those who survived or perished. I've since researched that he was a potter from Bulgaria, and his body was never recovered. It was a very moving, personal touch. What truly stood out was the staff. After learning it was my first time there, they went out of their way to make a connection. Someone checked in on me at intermission to see how I was enjoying the show, and even the producer found me at the end to ask my thoughts. After a recent bad experience elsewhere, being treated with this much care and professional respect as a solo patron was exactly what I needed. I'm glad I discovered this group and would definitely recommend checking out their future productions!

To anyone looking to see Poiema's upcoming show, West Side Story, or any show moving forward for…read morethat matter: I believe you should be aware of Michael Green, both the director and founder of Poeima Arts, and his practices. I am writing this review as not just a concerned bystander, but as a former student of his, so that everyone buying tickets and supporting this theatre, know exactly where their support is going. I am also writing for the parents looking to put their children into one of his programs. You should be aware of how he may cast your child. I would like to point out the inappropriate casting of this show which lead me to writing this review. The boy in this production who is playing Tony, the leading man, is 15 years old. This, in and of itself, is not a problem. In fact, I am happy to see theatrical opportunities for young men in the Triangle. The problem becomes evident when you realize that the woman who plays Maria, the leading lady of this show and romantic interest of Tony, is 25 years old. An adult and a minor with ten years between them playing a romantic couple. How is this acceptable to Michael Green, someone who claims to be a professional in the field? What does not help the case is that the woman playing Maria is Green's own daughter-in-law. This practice of casting minors alongside adults in intimate roles is highly inappropriate and disgusting to begin with, but this is where I'll add some of my own experience with Michael Green. As a former student of his who has seen and been in his previous shows, this casting decision is not an isolated event. Michael Green has cast adults alongside children with no protections put in place before, and in fact, normalized this with both students and parents who didn't know anything of theatre etiquette outside of him. As a student I witnessed the allowance and encouragement of improvised touch over rehearsed touches and the normalization of not asking for consent. This opened the door to inappropriate behavior both inside and outside of the classroom as well. A theatre teacher should teach their students that they should only be touched when they've given clear consent. This is how a theatre teacher keeps their students safe. Not teaching them these safety practices becomes an even bigger issue and even more dangerous when these students are minors faced with being touched by adults. I am writing this review out of concern that the behaviors and practices I saw as a student are continuing with this current production. I had hoped Michael Green had grown, but that does not seem to be the case.

Such a great find for ballet and tap for my five year old. I just love watching her in this class…read more- her instructor plays fun princess music, they dance with little props that go along with the seasons/holidays - pumpkins, "falling" leaves, etc. One class they all got to put on a princess dress. It's a great combination of age appropriate ballet activities mixed with ballet terminology and moves. It's a busy studio, lots of dancers of all ages coming and going - and they all look very happy and excited to be there, which is a great sign! Already looking forward to the recital in June!
