Carolina Dance Center is the worst dance center ever! They only choose favorites to do dances like…read moresolos, duets, etc. One of the teachers, Ms. Missy is definitely the worst teacher of all. She doesn't care about your child at all compared to the good dancers or her favorites! This dance center isn't worth crap! Waste of time and definitely a waste of money! Wish I sued this place before my child and I moved to CC&CO a few years back! Do not go to this dump of favorites only!

Unlike many dance studios, it's a place that fosters CONFIDENCE, DEDICATION, and PASSION-- which are amazing, lifelong qualities to instill in kids and especially teens. Kirstie, the director, is such a joy to be around and has created a truly unique and special place. Note only Kirstie, but all of the teachers too are committed to the students and create a very positive learning environment. Finally, the students are wonderful providing positive support to one another and put in a great deal of hard work. As I said before, the studio is truly a gem. Send your children or take class yourself as NCDI. It's a great find -- helped me remember why I love dancing again.

The choreography is super cute and changes just often enough to keep you on your toes! With elements of ballet and jazz, plus strength training at the end, this class hits on all levels. Then I came across The Dancer's Workout! This class is geared toward former dancers and incorporates elements of ballet, jazz, and pop. It's high energy and a great workout! The location is great for us and my daughter just likes acting goofy so we let her stay for now. If she continues to be interested, I will put her in a more serious program. On the administrative side, it's been less than stellar given early troubles with costume ordering. We followed details to a T, and as a first time dance mom was a bit neurotic. Costumes arrived and you not only had to melt her I to it, but craftsmanship was poor as there were visible tears in the fabric in multiple spots. Uncertain of what to do, I naturally turned to the dance studio front staff who were rude and basically said I must not have paid attention to the instructions. Needless to say, I was clearly on my own to find a remedy which was not only irritating and confusing but costly. On a side note, and maybe by design but the front lobby is always packed and boiling degrees given it's small cramped size.

I checked out this studio through Classpass... it's a one room studio located beside a CrossFit…read morebox. They share the parking lot and on the day I attended there was no issue with parking. Perhaps a tad tight but no major issues there. This studio is simple enough, it has a stage for the instructor which would be helpful for a larger studio or with lots of people. I'd say it's probably half the size of the Cary studio off Buckjones. My instructor was a replacement sub who had never worked at that studio before. I'd say the class was alright - I think I'm more partial to Zumba classes versus Jazzercise, so take that for what it's worth. I still tried to have fun and do what I could to sweat. The instructor did provide low impact and high impact options for us to choose. I may go back and check out different instructors to see if that may sway me one way or the other.

Out of our next 3 lessons 2 of them were cancelled by the studio just minutes before the start time. One lesson was with the Owner of the company, Faith. She cancelled on us with in 30 minutes of the lesson. We tried and tired to contact the studio to reschedule. I finally took off work and went by the studio and met with the manager, Jeff. He promised us a free lesson and was so so sorry for the trouble. Our next lesson was held but the following one was cancelled again. We went through the same process and had a terrible time contacting the studio. I have final gave up. I am going through the process now of getting refunded. Another great challenge. Please Please,Please do not support this organization. What was suppose to be fun and quality time between my girl friend and I has been nothing but tension and fights dealing with this unorganized studio. Trust me I don't need to pay money to fight. I can do that for free.
