I returned to Cinemark Bistro Raleigh after two years as that is one of the theaters showing Rental Family. I don't see myself returning anytime soon, though. It takes me about 45 minutes to get there so it better be worth the drive. The lobby was remodeled, and some concessions are available to grab yourself. Then, when you get to the front of the line, it tells you which register to go to. The theater was actually clean, but some of the seats were still worn. The restrooms were still not clean enough and could use more attention. With all the staff working there, they had plenty of staff to keep the building clean. read more

I hadn't been to this theater in almost ten years. It had been redone since then with very comfortable leather reclining seats with side tables. I was very impressed with the food menu as well. The chicken tenders and garlic fries with slap sauce were so good. I went for a private event for Stitching at the Movies. I came last night with my sister to see the live action How to Train Your Dragon. We came to the 6:50pm showing and it was shockingly not busy. Tons of parking though. And restaurants close by for dinner. There were maybe 10 people in our theatre so go on a Monday if you can. My sister got the quesadilla and said she likes the ones here. The chairs are large and comfy. I love being able to book my seat ahead of time. The only downside was a child that kept screaming intermittently throughout the movie. I wish overall it was easier to get the attention of an employee in situations like this. read more

This is my neighborhood movie theater and extremely convenient for $8 matinees and $6 Tuesday deal. I visit weekly and it is one of my favorite theaters. They do have recliner seats but they are in dire need of reupholstering. The seats are still comfortable just in need of replacement. The food and alcohol service here has always been great. THE FOOD IS CONSISTENTLY GOOD ! Burgers, chicken quesadillas, chicken tenders, hot fries, pizzas, churros, wraps, nachos. All good !!!! The staff here is excellent and that goes without saying the reason I'm a regular. I enjoy sitting in the theaters closest to the entrance. Theater 1, 2 & 8 have the best sound and the seats are better. I prefer to sit closer to the screen to avoid all the other movie goers getting up and down the stairs for concession items and the restroom. The sound is better on the lower rows as well. The staff is respectful and always willing to serve. I've enjoyed all the food. Service again is perfect. The popcorn is always hot and delicious! The manager is wonderful. Always willing to help. Today we ordered desserts later into our show. They were running behind with orders and delivered hot churros and my daughter's brownie sundae with 2 FREE Tickets for the long wait. So kind and thoughtful. You can't beat the convenience or deals with a movie fan membership. What I enjoy the most about this theatre is the events !!!!! I recently attended my very first Secret Movie Series night. You purchase a ticket for $5 and await the surprise the night of the premiere. Recently, I enjoyed Companion. The theater was packed ! I'll get right to the point(s): My number one complaint is about their online ticketing/seat selection graphics. If you think that you're getting screen center seats, you're probably not. My wife and I bought tickets to an early afternoon showing of Sheep Detectives in theater #13. The date time I selected the theater was empty, so I had my choice. According to the graphic the entry/exit (offset) was on the right making seats D6+D7 center of the screen. When we got in the theater, however, the entry/exit offset was on the left, making seats D4+D5 screen center. Someone else had taken those seats, so we had to settle. This has happened to us before. There's a key to understanding where the right or left offsets are in relation to center seats for the right side or left side theaters. After years of going to this Cinemark Raleigh I haven't figured it out. I'm miffed because I want what I purchased. We particularly chose this date and time so that we could get center seats. I'm kinda shocked that this day and age the theaters use such a crude, inaccurate ticketing graphic. It's misleading and disappointing, especially when you know that the sound stage is focused on the center. My next complaint is about the menu: 3 different times we went to Cinemark Raleigh deciding to get burgers, and 3 times they didn't have any. One time it was no buns. Second time it was no patties. Third time, sold out. Finally, like other reviews, this cinema is showing its age. The upholstery is peeling off the seats. Some seats, the recline function is broken. The bathroom fixtures are not being maintained or need repair/replacement. read more

OMG! 31 new menu items! Fried pickles and street corn are my favs. Need more chips with street corn tho. The crispy fried chicken with the slaw is huge and out CFA to shame. Try the new pizzas too. We love coming here for food and movies. Today's movie was great. Service was great. Food....subpar. 2 burgers and fries and one tenders tossed with fries. All orders arrived with cold soggy fries. Yuck. And tossed tenders....Found out in dark theater they were not tossed and had to go back wait in line for buffalo sauce to toss myself (in the dark) no thank you. Missed good movie time for kitchen mishaps. Small problem but expected more for an $89 dinner at the theater. read more

It's better than the other chain movie theatres of its kind in Raleigh I suppose. I've seen too many movies to count here, so obviously it could be classified as worth coming back to. Yes from me: -always really clean from my experiences -comfy seats -cherry coke -usually really friendly staff -lots of movies to choose from No from me: -the biggest thing here is that it's a chain, if so much rather support a local movie theatre, but those can be hard to come by depending on where you live - you gotta buy online otherwise you'll probably not get good seats -that stupid STUPID STUPID aisle they put up that you have to walk through to get concessions I hate it so much ugly ugly bad. read more

The ads played before the movie were inconsistent. Not sure who they were intended for, but it didn't feel like we were the target audience. The seats were comfortable, but we were split into a single and one part of a double so we were sitting kind of far apart. It would have been nice to know that before we purchased the tickets. Fix the speakers. I was just there with my daughter and we watched Wicked for Good and it was not a great experience because one of the speakers kept buzzing, it must've blown out. While you're trying to watch a movie and there's a constant buzzing in the background, it makes it hard to enjoy the movie because you can't even focus. The bathrooms were also dirty and disgusting. Visited for the first time this passed weekend to see "Boogeyman". The staff at the ticket booth and concession staff weren't friendly, but the price of the tickets and snacks were pretty reasonable. The young man who takes the tickets and directs us to the theatre was sitting there playing with a knife and stabbing the desk he sat at as we came in and when we walked away. I watched him for awhile in awe as he played that game where you stab around your fingers while your hand lies flat and fingers separated. I don't remember the name of the game. He was definitely bored. The women's restroom was DISGUSTING & I mean, DISGUSTING. It definitely hadn't been cleaned in quite awhile before I got there. The smell would've made you gag!! Just terrible. You pick your seats at the ticket booth. So, we went to our assigned seats, which were comfy and reclined. They had a table that could be adjusted too. The seats had lots of peeling, but it didn't effect the comfortability for me. All in all, the visit wasn't bad. I would definitely go back. read more

I give the seats and employees a five star! the food a one star! Getting tickets was easy order you seats online even pick which comfy seat you want to sit in. Plenty of parking. Upon entering the lobby was nice and clean just the right amount of lighting. We went first to order drinks and food- the girl at the counter was "there" but nice. We ordered chicken fingers with fries, a quesadillas and a bbq flat bread pizza. I don't recommend any of the food (except the fries) The quesadillas had no flavor and was Very thin (I could stack 2 pieces on each other and it still was thin) The chicken fingers were dry and had way too much coating (came with No dip-really needed something) French fries were really good. The flat bread chicken pizza just tasted like bbq sauce. We actually both felt really sick for the rest of the night after eating. The Movie was great (BeetleJuice) The bathroom was clean. read more

Soooo cool. I was surprised how updated and clean this place was. Starting off we got in super fast, got food (burger and a hot dog, hot dog was 7.15$? Burger was 16.50$ or something like that and came w fries) which was imo decent value compared to most movie theaters nowadays. BEST part was how nice the cashier was thanking us for visiting them (I've never been thanked for going to the movies so it was equal parts funny and wholesome). SECOND best part was after ordering the burger he first asked what theater we were seated in. Then he gave us a little plastic square thing and said 'when this buzzes someone will meet you outside the theater with your food.' WOW!!! It felt so cool and refined lol. Smaller theater space overall for viewing but that made it better as there weren't really any bad seats and the sound was great everywhere. Reclining seats as well! read more

I haven't been to a movie theater in a while. The hubby and I decided to take the grandkids to the 3-D Minion movie. The grands really enjoyed it. I liked the ease of ordering tickets ahead of time online. Considering it was on the second day after the premiere of the movie it wasn't that crowded. I'm not sure if that's due to the number of times available for showing or because it was shown in multiple theaters at once. We ordered two big tubs of popcorn and four drinks. Overall the prices seemed reasonable and the sound quality was good. The grands loved the 3-D feature. After experiencing the recliner seats I'm never going back to the old theater seats. The spacious recliner seats we sat on, although a little worn, were awesome! Looks like I'll have to talk the hubby into a date night. When you purchase your tickets online you can go ahead and order your snacks, food and drinks. You can arrange to pick it up when you get to the theater or have it delivered to your seat. Updated Went to see Saw X today. 10-11/23. Theater has become worn down. Seat covers ripped and torn Carpet definitely worn and heavily dirty. Everywhere there was not carpet I could hear and feel the stickiness as I walked. First theater had a busted speaker maybe or something as there was loose because there was a buzzing noise that made the movie to us unwatchable. Luckily movie was being shown in a different theater so we were able to move to that one. Had other movies we want to see but will be looking at different places. read more

Been coming here for years. They no longer maintain a clean theater. If you buy concessions you're best holding in your hands or better eat before you go. The reclining seats are amazing and the beer selection is really nice. I love that they have Guinness and White Street Kolsh. I found this place very kid friendly. Buy tickets in advance,but still wait in line to show your emailed tickets to get in. (people before us were having a hard time finding them). Food has to be purchased the old fashioned way (at the counter), and you will be given the option to add a tip. Popcorn: fresh, good...option to buy cheddar powder to sprinkle on. Prices for concessions: one small popcorn, a small diet coke and a medium diet coke was $17. read more

I showed her my tickets and then had to go to the office. The clerk had given me tickets to a Wednesday show. I am here on Saturday. I gotta tell ya, I loved Raleigh grande well before it became a Cinemark. And they didn't let us down on our recent visit. As far as the theater itself, it's a great place to see a movie. Large comfy chairs and a tray to eat on. The food service attendant was very helpful. I wish I had caught his name. He seemed very knowledgeable about the food and what tastes good. We asked a lot of questions and he didn't try and hurry us along. My wife, who does not usually go for bacon cheeseburgers, went with the recommendation. I had a bite of it and it was indeed delicious! They actually use maple bacon instead of regular bacon, which seems unique. For myself, I had the pepperoni "flatbread" aka pizza. I know it's just a silly movie theater pizza, but it hit the spot! You could do much worse. We're already planning to visit again. read more

Fourth time at Raleigh Grande - really enjoy being able to choose our seats, the clean environment and friendly employees. The recliners are great - and, being able to eat a yummy pizza or truffle fries in that recliner, even better! The downside - we could hear the ENTIRE action movie next door OVER parts of our movie. Big bummer. $18.50 for tickets plus $42 on pizza, fries, drinks and candy = I don't want to hear another movie over what I paid to see! I love this theater --yes it's seats are worn now ( wear jeans ). We drive by multiple other theaters to go here ... NOBODY can kick the back of your seat .at this theater //You can remove the middle arm rest and snuggle with your sweetie .You can recline Sooooo comfortably with ease .You can see the screen well from all the rows ! We've been to three movies in the past four weeks . I did not encounter ANY Negative acting staff . There was a ridiculous delay at Refreshments when there was just one person working and a Customer took a Century to pick out their food but that was an Oddity .Usually service is fast enough On our recent visits there were occ. Unflushed toilets ( ewww-who does that ???and Heaven Help your toilets at home ) But --there was no rancid odor .The sinks were clean with soap present . A very solid viewing experience. I recently went with a friend to a screening of the Northman. It's been a very long time since i've been to this theater. The last time I went it was the Raleigh Grand and under different  management. This theater is now the premuiming viewing experience like most theaters now. Choose your own seats, reclining chairs, an expanded menu outside of just popcorn and soda and a frequent movie going club pass too. It's a really solid theater. Its theaters are big and the stadium seating and reclining chairs are nice. Their menu has a nice assortment of food as well as a full bar serving drinks. I was really impressed with this theater and would easily go again. read more

Today was like pre covid! It was crowded. Staff was nice and it was clean. The theatre seating is ok, no heated seats but for the most part Comfortable. Bathrooms were disgusting! Friendly people selling tickets. The cashier was nice when I bought a drink, although I was disappointed that even though they have the terminals that can accept NFC payment (like Apple Pay) they were not functioning to take that. I get a little nervous swiping my cards these days when card skimmers are everywhere! Seats were stadium style and those big recliner types, at least in the theater I visited. The Raleigh Grande isn't the newest or biggest movie theater but it is tucked away off of Glenwood which is a very good thing. Due to its secluded location, the theater doesn't get crazy busy for blockbuster movies like Crossroads 20. Especially if you go early in the week or off-hours, you'll have a peaceful experience. And with sixteen screens, you should be able to find something you like. The movie screens are pretty decent and you can get beer or wine at the concessions stand, alright! Just be warned that if you get a beer you don't get the whole thing. Only 8 oz or so in a plastic cup, booo!!! There's not much else to say other than that yes, the theater floor lighting is for some reason, tricky! I've stumbled on those stairs a couple of times myself, I'm not sure why. And if you want to grab a bite, the Lynnwood Grill is right next door for pizza/pasta. Or grab dinner at Sawasdee or Kadhai Wok a couple of miles south. All-in-all, Raleigh Grande is an ok place to catch a movie in my book! Overall, I really love this place and it's the only theater I'll go to. The food is very good and the staff is always friendly. My only one concern is the seats are starting to wear down and one time I went it actually rubbed off and got on my legs. I think it just depends where you sit.
