Im sad to write this as Carolina has been one of my favorite stores for many years - they always stock such beautiful items and the people who work there are kind, never pushy and always helpful. With that said - the experience of shopping there has changed...pretty dramatically. I won't pretend that Carolina was ever a place for a bargain - it's always been a high end store with items that would be considered splurges or even out of the range of possibility (for the majority of people). In the last year, the prices have skyrocketed. What used to be the highest priced item is now the norm. $600 sweaters, $800 slip dresses, etc. Listen I get it, it's Mill Valley and an increasingly wealthier demographic with inflation being insane. But also, this sucks? Your prices have literally doubled. What once felt like an occasional shopping treat now just feels alienating and over the top. The owner / buyers have the best taste in town - if you're reading this, could you please bring back some of the more moderately (reasonably) priced brands? I think a lot of the non ultra elite 2% Mill Valley-ites would be super appreciative and love to support you again. But as of now, it's literally impossible. For what it's worth this is not just an opinion of mine but fellow friends who just want to go back to their favorite Carolina. I appreciate you taking the time to read and consider! read more

Came in and visited with my mom today, walked out with a summer wardrobe. I haven't gone to shop for clothes in almost 2 years, and lost 60 pounds within those two years. Needless to say, I needed a glam up. LADIES THIS IS THE PLACE YOU NEED TO GLOW UP. The ladies made me feel like a million bucks. I'm horrible at shopping and especially going to a new store. Really disappointed in the service from this boutique. 1/24 Purchased a coat from them via Garmentory. 1/27 Emailed boutique to check status of order, no response. 1/28 Emailed Garmentory to check status of order. They said that the boutique status was that they were still checking stock on the item, but they were not able to make contact with the boutique to verify this. 1/29 Afternoon - Called boutique to check status of order. They took down my name and said they would look into it and call me back. 3 hrs later - No call back, attempted to call them with no answer. Evening - Received an email from Garmentory stating that the boutique told them that they could not locate the coat and it was "likely shoplifted." Really disappointed in the poor communication. I missed out on purchasing this coat at a sale price from other boutiques because of their service. read more

I love this women's boutique in downtown Mill Valley. They have a great selection of clothing, accessories, shoes and jewelry. They have a HUGE scarf selection and I rarely leave without one. They also have a great range of jewelry that fits all needs and budgets. Love the fact they have a large selection of jeans (different brands, styles and colors) and great tops from popular brands such as Theory, Vince and more. It's the perfect spot to find something to wear to work, wear on the weekend or out on a date. The girls who work there are always welcoming, friendly and helpful. It's a low pressure, relaxed, fun place to shop. They are great about taking your name down and calling you when new pieces come in, or if you have your eye out for something in particular. Carolina has been my favorite boutique in Marin for many years. The clothes have continued to keep getting cuter. I find designer items that I don't see in department stores. I had been trying to find a retail location that sells Freda Salvador and I stumbled upon Carolina boutique. So glad I found it! Love, love, love this store. It's by far the best boutique in Marin! It has a unique selection of jewelry, accessories and clothing and the sales girls have amazing style and are always legitimately helpful and honest (without being annoying or pushy). Really cute boutique with well-edited selection of clothing, accessories, and other fun stuff. I especially like their accessories. Really gorgeous jewelry, but I had to exercise tremendous restraint, otherwise I would have had some explainin' to do for the husband. I fell in love with a pair of Bernardo Icons sandals (in the gorgeous "Denim" color); I'll be wearing them a lot this summer. I also purchased two pairs of Havaiana flip-flops for my daughters, Jane Tran bobby pins, and since one of my daughter's name is Leila, I just HAD to buy a roll-on perfume called "Leila Lou" (similar to "Kai" but not as sweet or overpowering). The service couldn't have been more friendly, no 'tude, just a really low-key, pleasant environment. They even told me I was welcome to bring in my dogs, but I wanted shop uninterrupted so I left them outside. read more

Everything at this shop is beautiful and unique. Carolina clearly has superb style! Nothing run of the mill or generic here. The staff was extremely attentive but not at all pushy. I'm very petite and hard to fit and it was like shopping with the best personal stylist ever! They kept handing me pieces that one after the other fit my body and style perfectly. I would have bought everything if I could! Plus the whole mood is super friendly and upbeat, not stuffy and uncomfortable like a lot of other high-end boutiques. Where do I start? This boutique is incredible! The owner Carolina and all her staff are so warm and personable and not in the least bit "sales-y". When I go to the shop it is like meeting up with girlfriends - truly. A visit to Carolina Boutique is more like an experience. First, the place is filled with amazing designers I've never seen anywhere else. Carolina has an incredible eye for unique and timeless beauty. While the shop has amazing, high quality wardrobe staples everyone should have - I like to head to Carolina Botique for those times where I want to find something truly special and extraordinary. A beaded scarf necklace...the most perfect unusual summer dress...the perfect pair of coveted jeans no one else has. While you are in the shop the staff make you feel right at home - whoever you are! It's hard to explain, but I leave there feeling as if I've been pampered and whenever I wear the clothes I have the happiest feelings of when I was in her shop and feeling great about myself. Carolina Boutique is a lovely intimate shop with the luxury and style of a designers studio. We were greeted by beautiful smiling faces, fresh cut flowers, and cool décor and fashion. There's edgy and fun pieces like a fur vest (I wanted, thanks G!) to special occasion one of a kind jewelry. I came away with a new favorite pair of ankle boots and jeans and really appreciated the help they provided to find the right style and fit for my figure. Super cute boutique with fabulous customer service. It was such a pleasure to walk into this wonderful boutique. I was window shopping before most of the stores opened; most of the clerks inside didn't even notice me, but Karen did. When I came back by a few minutes later, she had opened up the store and put the sale items outside, so of course I had to stop. While looking through the sale rack, Cheri walked out, made eye contact and started talking to me about the pieces that I was holding in my hand. She was so nice and chic. I walked in and immediately Karen started a room for me and kept adding items that I would pick up. Then while trying on, she started to just bring me things that she thought would look good on me. I love it when this happens because I tend to look at the same types of clothing. Karen was great! I highly recommend this boutique. I will be back. Hands down my favorite boutique in Marin. I want to wear everything. Amazing denim. Our favorite staples but fresher. Delicious knits and sweaters. Perfect pieces for going out.
