Now i am not sure about other people experience here but I will say is that the owner was very polite,courteous and helpful. I did end up paying allot to get my car done. $322 to be exact. I initially came in to get water spots taken off my car witch was REAL BAD!! They all worked real hard getting my car done, basically working non stop for 2 hours. I absolutely appreciate them working as hard as they did. Employees not exactly the happiest people but i would inly assume thats because they are breaking a sweat in the heat. I went here for a change because I wanted my car done by someone instead of my regular car wash. Where you drive thru and you do everything yourself. I asked for the 24.00 car wash. I was charged 3.00 for it being a suv, plus a surcharge for using a credit card. No one told me this. Not even the guy who took my payment at the machine. Then when my vehicle came out it was still dirty especially around the bottom and on the front. I even took the rag from the gentleman and was wiping it myself. Until a gentleman told me to give it back to the gentleman. That it was his job. For me to just point out the spots. I also brought an air freshener and asked the woman for a receipt and was told by her. She didn't know how. She set my money in front of the register and probably in her pocket when I left. I've been a loyal customer for 8 years. Not one bad experience. Staff is always courteous and efficient, and my car looks beautiful again every time. I have a feeling the the few bad reviews result either from the customer having a bad attitude, expecting the impossible, or is just an unhappy person. Of course everyone - even me - can have a bad day. But we shouldn't trash them because of one incident. Talk with them courteously and try to work it out. I'm pretty sure Bruce will do the right thing. And regarding price: They have a HUGE investment in land, building, and equipment. This was the worst customer service I've ever experienced and an awful quality of wash. My husband brought my car in early this morning and paid $30 for the car to come out looking the exact same. He paid for an interior clean and vacuum and exterior wash as well. The mats were muddy and the outside of the car looked just the same as when we brought it in. When I went back to address the issue, I approached the manager working at the time, Ned, with an "excuse me" and waited for him to finish what he was doing. I pointed out the dirt all over the car and he said " it was dirty when it came in", using that as the reason for the poor wash. Isn't the purpose of the car wash to clean a car that's dirty? Didn't realize we were supposed to bring pre-cleaned cars. Don't understand how that's impeding their ability to deliver $30 worth of service. I pointed out the dirt on the hood and front of the car, and he dismissed me saying it was "paint damage", but as I began wiping it with my thumb, it started to come off. When I brought that to his attention, he cut me off, put his hand in my face, took a step towards me, and said, "You're not the customer. I'm talking to him now," referring to my husband. He offered a refund, then said "Never mind. I'm taking it back because of her attitude," claiming I was screaming at him despite me asking one simple question in a calm and collected demeanor. I told him some effort would be needed to remove the dirt but it was definitely cleanable. He took my husband inside and said that if he were a white man, I would have treated him differently - making inappropriate comments in an attempt to claim that this was racially motivated. As a Black and Puerto Rican woman with an African-American husband, never would my respectful approach have been any different. The issue at hand had nothing to do with race but was simply a matter of quality of service that we had paid in full for. He then came outside and said we were not welcome anymore and were now "trespassing" and began taking pictures of my husband and I in my car as well as my license plate. My husband asked for a business card and he said "you don't get a card" because "my attitude was a serious problem". Asking him to take accountability or rectify the poor service, I think we hurt his ego because he couldn't handle the questions and immediately took it as an attack and was unnecessarily rude and aggressive. I advise you all to take your business elsewhere or prepare to waste your money, time, and be disrespected. read more

I am shocked and horrified by their complete disrespect and no interest in customer service. She pulled in and asked for the $110 car wash advertised on the sign. He said "if you don't want to pay $139, get out of here" and forced her to back up on the steep winding driveway where she proceeded to hit her car on the poles along the driveway. Even if you pay for the works wash when they aren't busy (presumably the time when they are most focused on your vehicle), they do barely passable work. First I would like to start off that every employee under management that I dealt with had amazing customer service and respect for me. They did what they were supposed to do and I hold nothing against them. Their current manager however is a different story. I payed good money to have my car washed and essentially they sent my car through their machine without soap... I guess their is their idea of a basic wash even though it's a ridiculous price ~$20 or so. Without soap being used my car was essentially getting scratched for anyone who didn't know that before. You always want water AND soap if you want to wash your car without giving scratches. Afterwards I was not satisfied with the service done and spoke to the manager asking for a refund. Asked for a refund and essentially was mocked, ridiculed, and taken lightly for my request. Not only this but he accused me of lying telling me that soap indeed was used in the wash.... Without delving into too many details of my argument (ending up with him wanting to literally fight me outside) he grudgingly gave me back my refund. Really people... I say this with all honesty in my heart, this manager was the most unprofessional and disrespectful person I have met in a long time. This place wasted over an hour of my time, and it was because the man tried to charge me $65 for what normally cost $25-30, all because I had asked him to make sure my trunk was vacuumed and the inside was actually wiped down because they didn't do a thorough job the previous time I had been here. I was actually with one of my friends and mine and his cars were both spotty afterwards and dusty. they barely clean your car for the $30 you pay. Many give no effort and your car is ran through an automatic machine , but I decided to give them another chance by asking to do a better job this time around. The man named Francisco at the front said "yes our customers don't like the job we do sometimes for our $28 package so we charge more to do better which will be $65 to wipe down the inside door panels and wipe down the entire inside and mats nice and make sure everything is spotless." I had never heard this and the price was an outrage for a simple wash inside and out, to vacuum the trunk, and wipe the inside (including cleaning mats) I considered this a standard practice for most car wash establishments and didn't expect the price to double from my request, so I took my concern to the woman at the front desk who proceeded to call her son (the store manager). She said that he was "on the way" but when I asked how long she said "he's close". After 20 minutes of waiting another lady walked out and told me the manager was not coming but that she could do the car for $20. I responded with, "this man said it was $65 for that same job?" She then responded with "oh well I can do it for $30." I was shocked again because I felt as though I was being scammed , so for the last time I took my concerns to the woman at the front desk who said her son wasn't on the way and refused to call him in order to settle the dispute. She wouldn't offer a deduction off of any of the packages for the troubles I had. I left without giving them my business and went to a much better car wash place, and I suggest you do the same . I used to love this place and took my car there regularly when i lived in Chapel Hill. I got a living social coupon because I thought I'd get the same service as always. Terrible service!!! I feel like a got second class service just because I came in with a coupon. I even paid extra for extra vacuuming. The outside was fine - but how could you screw that up with a machine? This thing will bend them right off! 2.) 90 seconds of hands -on window cleaning and a wipe of the dash with an armorall cloth No vacuuming of the floor, trunk not touched, no cleaning of center console, no cleaning of doors or handles, no vacuuming of seats. I've had bad times here the last 2-3 so now I don't even bother. They don't do a good job overall of cleaning and they don't listen to your feedback. They made my car pretty! But under normal circumstances they'd be pricey! My car was having "being pretty" issues recently due to the North Carolina environment. Stuff falls on it. Birds apparently are incapable of using restrooms like humans. Other stuff magically appears on it. So my car needed a wash. I've tried other places before, like the car wash in the BP on 15-501. But that place barely gets anything off. Booo. So Carolina Car Wash gets the stuff off my car. They give me a receipt, I go in, and give that to the person working the desk. I also had a LivingSocial, so it was cheap. But if I didn't have a LivingSocial, it would have been $28. That's expensive. But it worked.
