After I checked in I didn't have to wait very long to be called back. The technician who did my exam was wonderful and made sure that I understood everything that was going on. Unfortunately I had to have a diagnostic mammogram so I also had to have an ultra sound and speak with a doctor but it went smoothly and fairly quickly. I would recommend them for your care.

I asked everyone and they told me it was cover by my insurance as always. However, I just got 3 bills for almost $1,300. I called the referrals, billing, the facility and no one resolved the issue. I just got the supposed code to be bill. Terrible customer service and care. No one asked my authorization to additional test if they did some more. No information was given to me. They just told me everything was ok. Well, this is unacceptable, I told them in advance I didn't want anything done if it wasn't covered bc I have enough bills after my husband's stroke.

Went here for a CT chest scan on Friday, April 17th. I checked in with "Tita" who I'd previously…read morespoken to on the phone, and she is delightful-- cheerful, warm & very professional. Can't say much about the tech or "nurse" who conducted my scan. I had to ask nurse 3 times to move the pillow so it supported my head, not my upper back (which had me gagging). She told me at a certain point she would give me a shot of contrast, and when she did it really HURT -- she is no Phlebotomist! I developed a black & blue mark at the site, and it's still sore four days later! Tech asked if was allergic to iodine, and I didn't really know but told her I was allergic to shrimp (lots of iodine). Tech said they had a "way around that, whatever that meant. Also, I had the impression the tech would be communicating with me throughout the procedure. Instead, there suddenly was this pre-recorded LOUD male voice barking "breath in, hold breath, breath out, breath. . . .";, i.e. no human contact. Thankfully the scan took only 5 minutes -- a LONG 5 minutes! When it ended the tech wheeled me out to the waiting room where my husband was. I was given no piece of paper with what to expect after receiving the scan, especially that contrast dye! I had to do all the post procedure research myself on-line, and that's where I found out why I was so horribly exhausted, stomach aching & dizzy. Making matters worse, I called yesterday to ask who would be reviewing my results there. This receptionist (named Adrienne) bluntly answered "I don't know". I asked her if she could find out, and her answer was "All I can do is print out your results, and you can come pick them up, bring your ID. I just wanted off the call and to see what she printed. Husband stopped there to run in to get them a couple hours later. He forgot her name, but one receptionist was not there (I'm guessing Adrienne). He said to Tita there should be a printout of my CT results for me (he brought my I.D.). Tita looked everywhere for them, there was no printout to be found, so Tita printed them. If it weren't for Tita I don't think I'd have a positive thing to say about Carolinas Imaging Services, Ballantyne!

The worst front desk receptionist I have ever encountered. You stand there expecting a greeting…read more She stares at you. Does not even say "hi checking in?" Just a blank stare. "Hi? I have an appt." Still staring.... Ok??? She actually says "I don't know you? You're supposed to say your name" SHE ACTUALLY SAID THAT... I say "did you ask my name??" I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER return to this place. You already have anxiety because your boobs are about to get pressed into a machine. The words "mammogram" & "breast cancer" will scare easily. Please be kind to your customers. Get rid of this receptionist if you haven't already. What a monster. No "have a nice day" upon leaving either. She just exists behind that desk. Will add: Radiologists were lovely. But I'd go to another place simply because this front desk rude woman sets the whole mood for the appt.

I came for an MRI, which was located on the first floor. They do have a directory where you can see exactly where you need to go. The receptionist was polite and explained everything in detail. Gave me the paperwork to fill out. As soon as I was done filling out paperwork, they immediately called me back. Had to change into scrubs and then was sent to get the MRI done. I had never gotten one done before, and this was definitely an experience. The tech did take her time and explained the whole process to me. What to expect and what to do. No complaints and everything went very smoothly and efficiently.

If I would rate this Imaging center only on the Ultrasound appointment, it would be a 1 star review. 30 minute delay in the waiting room and rude staff. However, my second visit for the Catscan was a completely different experinece. From check in to post exam the staff and explanation of things was great. So, I figured I'd average the two appointments and give them three stars, but I really think they might be a two. The staff needs to work on being a little more patient with questions, and not so rude, and if they are running 20 - 30 behind I think they should tell patients upfront, as I scheduled this in between meetings, so would have been able to call someone and move things around.
