i woke up sick...feeling pretty bad, tough to talk, had a little trouble breathing from a congested test...needed to see a doctor. most people need to see a doctor to get a diagnosis, to know what is wrong. this unique clinic demands you tell them what is wrong, ie diagnos it first, then they will see you. so, in order to get in here, you first have to go to a doctor, get a diagnosis so they can approve your reason for seeing them. it just kind of defeats the reason for going to a doctor. the person i talked to really lacked patience, and had exceptionally poor communication skills. read more

I went to two urgent cares within my insurance network and they each sent me away until the next day due to no availability. Carolina Express was able to see me immediately. Their pricing is very straightforward and their service was excellent. They had me in and out within 44 min with the correct diagnosis and prescription in hand. My husband and I made appointments here in preparation for our trip to Asia. We needed to get a few vaccines. There is also a Passport Clinic that offers travel vaccines in the city, but it was hard to make an appointment. Here we were able to walk right in. The process was simple and seamless. Our nurses and doctor were helpful and recommended the ideal vaccines for us based on our itinerary - in addition they issued a prescription for us if we were to feel ill on our trip. They also accept all insurances and we had no issues with any co-pays or coverage benefits. Other than routine and travel vaccines, treat this clinic as a minute clinic for upset stomach, colds, ear aches, etc. Fats, friendly and easy. read more

Appointment scheduling was simple. Showed up early and they were able to see me right after checking in. I believe the entire appointment was less than 30 minutes. I went it for an antibiotic shot for an infection and the doctor on staff noticed that my eye was irritated. He ended up prescribing an eye drop for that issue as well. Each worker that I interacted with (a total of 3) was kind and understanding of the issue, with no judgment. With insurance my total came out to $60. Would definitely make an appointment here in the future if needed. read more

I've been struggling with a cough for months now. I didn't get checked out sooner because I am uninsured, but I had enough of my cough. I couldn't sleep, eat, inhale big amount air without needing to cough. I went to fast med and they charged me almost 300$ dollars just for them to tell me, they don't know what's going on. Today I made the decision on coming to Carolina Express Clinic last minute. I was in and out within not even 20mins and charge me way less and actually got diagnosed and prescribed medication. I came here early this AM slightly panicked about a bizarre and excruciating foot pain instead of going to a hospital urgent care center and was pleasantly surprised Wait time was non-existent first thing in the morning and diagnostic quick and efficient. I've been here twice and both times resulted in a positive flu test. But the staff here are so friendly and knowledgeable, and the wait time is minimal. I was thoroughly explained my treatment plan and medications. We need more places like this and less of the typical urgent cares. read more

I asked her about the doctor that most previous patients raved about, she was short with me and acted like she didn't want to be bothered. I had a HORRIBLE experience here. First of all, I was treated like a inept, incompetent middle schooler by the woman at the front desk. After I filled out all of my paper work, she made me wait 45 minutes- with no one else in front of me- before she got up from her desk to give me my shot. Then, once I got my shot, she didn't make sure that I was okay. She left the room before she could even look at me, and I was left in the room pale, clammy, and dizzy for fifteen minutes before anyone came back to check on me. Then, when she did come back, she came in and accused me of "clogging her bathroom"!! What in the world?!? Beyond rude, terrible service, and rude workers. Do not go here. read more

This was one of the best medical experiences I have had! I had a severe allergic reaction that caused my eyes to swell, itch, and burn. I was treated by Ashli (NP) and she was wonderful! She took her time examining my eyes and asked me questions to make sure she knew exactly what the problem was. She thoroughly explained how to treat my condition and took her time answering all of my questions. I started my medications that Ashli prescribed and I feel so much better. Ashli even called me back a few days later to follow up - she just really cares about patients! And that is rare in the medical industry. I will certainly return to Express Clinic for future visits. What a great place! I chose this location because I was having problems with my eyes. I knew it was probably an eye infection & didn't want to wait in long lines at a physician's office. I will start off with the positives, the wait is minimal and the receptionist is lovely and professional. I've come here on 3 separate occasions & each time my wait was less than 15mins. It's a very clean facility and for the most part, everyone seems to care about your well-being... Ok here are the negatives. My negative experience ONLY is in conjunction with my care from Dr. Chambers himself. The woman doctor was excellent. Let me start off by saying, I had some issues with my vagina & originally came to this clinic to get tested for std's, they never called me with any results, I had to call them or come in for them to inform me...which is ridiculous. But when I came my 3rd & final time, bc I had flu symptoms, Dr. Chambers then randomly informs me "Oh yeah, you have genital herpes." I am only 23yrs old, so you could imagine my disbelief and shock..he diagnosed me so nonchalantly. As if what he just told me, didn't ruin my life. I was depressed & suicidal for weeks. About 7 to be exact, then after some research...I decided to goto my obgyn for a second opinion. I just got my results today. Everything came back negative. I was going to hurt myself because of a diagnosis this man gave me without even verifying. I will never be returning to this facility read more

This was by far the best Urgent Care I have ever been to. I was seen quickly by Laurie Black, Nurse Practitioner, whom I really liked, professionally diagnosed (walking pneumonia), given a couple prescriptions, and sent on my way in under 20 minutes. I really liked the atmosphere of the place too. It just "felt" good. Reading on their webpage, I see the Doctor who owns the clinic travels regularly overseas with Christian medical missions, which I also appreciate. Reasonably priced as well. During my travels to Charlotte, I called various "urgent care" facilities to see if I could drop in late on a Friday evening, all but one told me "we are closing" . These guys told me they would wait for me and even though I arrived 10 min after closing time, I was greeted with a smile, seen quickly and given a prescription. absolutely awful service - paid for the express results which should have been sent to our registered email address an hour after we were tested. my son's results were delivered but mine were not. it's been a full 24 hours later and still no results delivered to my email despite numerous phone calls about this issue. the representative was unhelpful and rudely stated we should just swing by to pick up the results. basically, our money was taken without providing the service we paid for.
