Great buying experience! Scott Miller has a wealth of knowledge and was great to work with. Pricing was great as well.

    Busted Nuckle Motorcycle Repair

If you are looking for a quality independent motorcycle mechanic in the Lake Norman area or north…read moreof Charlotte, look no further. Mark, the owner of Busted Nuckle has decades of experience and does top notch work for less than half of what you would pay at the dealership. They had a shop in Ohio and opened a second one in Mooresville a couple of years back. I moved back to NC and (before my next maintenance was due) I ended up trading up to a FLHTCU (Ultra Classic) that needed some TLC and a head gasket. I did some heavy research on who I could trust to do the job. Busted Nuckle not only had great reviews online, but I heard phenomenal things about them when I asked around (word of mouth). After talking to Mark and taking a tour of the shop to see some of what they were doing, I was confident that I had come to the right place. Mark actually seems to do quite a bit of the work there himself, which definitely made me feel confident. In the end, Busted Nuckle went above and beyond my expectations with the quality of their work (they even addressed some issues that I wasn't aware that I had). The price was less than half of what I would have paid at the dealership, and there were no surprises when it came time to settle up. Mark was fantastic to work with and provided solid guidance and advice throughout the repair process. Regarding the maintenance end of things, they used quality fluids/filters (as a standard practice, not as something you need to request), and they completed all of the minor maintenance items that are all too commonly skipped over by Harley dealerships and shady independents. I'm thrilled that I've found a quality shop like this local to me. Busted Nuckle is the only place I'll be going for maintenance, repairs, and new or used parts. I can't recommend these guys highly enough!

I had to start the bike to load it in my truck to bring it to him and he said he'd look at it right away. The shop owner Mark called a few hours later to tell me that the carb was junk and suggested a new S&S carb with a $600 price tag. I told him I didn't want the new carb and would come get my bike in the morning. When I picked up my bike I was told they couldn't even get it started no matter what they tried. When I got it home I noticed they didn't even tighten my carb back up like it was when I brought it to him. I tightened everything and started it within ten minutes of being home using nothing special. I wasn't paying them $600 for a new carb I did not need and now they lost the $200 I was quoted to rebuild the carb already on the bike. Mark tried to scam me into buying something I didn't need. I would definitely stay away from this shop. Mark will try to take advantage of people who believe what he says just because he owns a repair shop.

Matt and his team gently persuaded me to try a 2013 Yamaha VXR. I'm in love. I tried a different model first, but didn't have quite enough power for me. This one is great. And so are the team at Interstate cycle. I traded in a double trailer and a 1999 Sea Doo. They gave me a great deal and are awesome to work with. The exchange was seamless and they made sure I was happy before I left. I whole heartily recommend Interstate Cycle in Mooresville if you are in the market for a wave runner, motorcycle or four wheeler. They let you test drive and make sure you are satisfied! PS, I bought my scooter there too! Karen

I was working on a deal for a new bike and it started out okay but quickly went off the rails because the shops owner is out of his mind, SERIOUSLY. After two days of setting up the deal I walked out on it feeling angry, untrusted and completely disrespected. I drove to D2 Powersports in Greer SC the following weekend and made my bike purchase without any hassle or disappointment whatsoever. D2 Powersports will treat you right, Interstate Cycle will screw you over.
