Sent my 1025r in for 200 hour service and have the hydraulics checked. They took them 3 weeks to do the service that cost me 768 dollars, and the hydraulics still leaks down fast. Sale department is great but service sucks. Need to find better service. read more

Absolutely great people, which makes the already great products even better. Seriously, from the staff that keep the equipment in tip top shape to the front of the office. The worst customer service in my history of purchasing anything. The parts guy Roberto told me to get out, He said that in front of the parts manager Mike. How do you tell someone to leave the store because they don't agree with you? And the only thing the parts manager said is, I'll deal with him. No sir, not good enough. He should have made him apologize to me. Then when I spoke to higher management, no help there. I guess if you don't spend $100,000 there, they don't respect you. I would rather buy products from Lowes, or Carolina Power Equipment in Cayce, SC. read more

BEWARE!!!! If you are looking to purchase a tractor, look elsewhere!! We spent more than $50,000 at this business in less than one year. DURING the warranty period (1st year), we placed a service call for our tractor and received an invoice for $750!!! When we questioned the bill, we were told that the call we made was outside the warranty. The people who seemed so nice and forthcoming when we purchased our equipment were - all of a sudden - not so nice and forthcoming. We don't plan to get 'taken' again. I hope this warns others so they don't either!!! read more

This review of the "Sparrow & Kennedy Tractor Company, 462 Sumter Highway Bishopville, SC 29010). If you're a person of color be aware! I find myself wishing I had never walked into this business, I wish I knew then what I feel and have seen since doing business with this establishment. Just to mention a few adjectives and things that stick out like a sore thumb; rude, smart-mouthed, un-intelligent, unprofessional, shady, gives off the vibe you shouldn't trust a word that's coming out of my mouth", type of people. True story, bought a chain saw in March 2021, the gave me a problem during cranking, return the saw in June 2021 to be checked out. On the 9th day, I call to check the status of the saw, I was told it was ready, no one ever bothered to call me about the phone. I never received a call regarding an issue with the saw, and to get my permission to proceed with fixing the issue. Of course, the issue wasn't cover under the warranty. Bottom line, the spark plug was changed, cost $7.49 parts, labor $50.66, Misc: $4.05, and sales tax 0.60 for a grand total: $62.80. Luckily, this is a franchise, which means I can continue to use and buy STIHL products, just never not at this location. Although, I have only used the Stihl chain saw a couple of times I was very pleased with its performance. Total coast so far, $431.94 + $62.80 = $494.74. I had never walked into this business before and with not again! So very disappointing! I do not repeat shopping at establishments that do not appreciate me shopping in their stores. read more

Update- I gave them another chance on two separate occasions and have been pleased with the experience overall. I'm upgrading my rating from 1-star to 3-stars and hoping to improve that over time. My family has been buying their lawn & garden equipment From Palmetto Lawn & Leisure to maintain our 40-acre property in Lexington for well over 30-years. Now its my turn to start taking care of the property, and maintaining the equipment. I went by Palmetto L&L to see if they could pull some of the service records for our John Deere lawn tractor that I was missing. The first time in I was told by the woman at the counter they didn't keep records for more than two years, so I was out of luck and should have been better about keeping up with my records. The second time I visited to try and get these records wasn't much better. Since my family has trusted them for so long the staff at Palmetto Lawn & Leisure didn't have to do much to earn my business now and in the future, but they sure did a lot to lose it very quickly. I will be going to another dealer or purchasing the parts I need online from now on. read more
