This place is a little hole in the wall next to a gas station. I love trying these hidden gems and this one did not disappoint. The menu is limited to a few sandwiches and a few entrees. This is usually an indication that everything they sell is really good. I had a half slab of ribs. They were fall off the bone tender. The sauce was made in house or at least spices were added in house. I am really picky about ribs and question the flavor fall off the bone will have but these ribs were really good. There are not many keto friendly sides here so I had double collard greens. The greens still had a gentle crunch , bits of meat and wonderfully seasoned. I literally just threw away 2 plates of food. Everything was old. Like from 2 days ago old. I ordered a veggie plate and a large fry. And had the nerve to upcharge me for extra BAD Mac. The Mashed Potatoes were definitely spoiled. I jave no comments on the yams. Just OLD! By the time I made it home 5 mins away you could tell this was really old food. Please see pics. Even the Fries. I couldn't tell if it was the potato itself that was bad or the taste of fish. Or if these were refried from noon lunch. Everything just terrible! Its not SAFE TO EAT HERE. Went at 11am...the woman who greeted me...well....it wasnt even a greeting. I did not receive a warm welcome. I asked for a veggie plate. They only have this with 3 veggies. I ordered 2 macaroni and 1 yams. I was told that if i ordered macaroni twice then i will be upcharged. Really?? I asked for the total for the 3 veggie meal. $10.47. ???? Really?? Really?? This is a hidden gem. Don't be fooled by the gas station next door. This place is a home grown local spot that needs to have a line and a 30 mins wait. The food is soo good. We ordered the wings and cheeseburger with collard greens. I recommend all the food. You can't go wrong. read more

Tell you what I think I just had some good ribs and chicken. All of the stuff they make is fresh. Custom made sauces and spices. Making there food truly one of a kind. My husband and I recently purchased a house not far from Carolyn Quinn's , tonight we decided to stop in. We pulled up at 5 minutes to 8, and they close at 8 , we saw several people inside and decided to ask if we could order since it was so close to closing. We were greeted immediately but the nicest man! He said of course and we didn't have to take it to go, as they would be there a while cleaning anyway! My husband , who doesn't care for collard greens tasted mine and was impressed! The food was fresh seasoned perfectly and delicious! We can't wait to go back!!! I gave this restaurant four stars as most of the food that I had was good I ordered food for my family and I this evening which was Mac and cheese, collard greens, rice with gravy, candied yams wings and fries. The candied yams was the only item that I didn't care for everything else was good! While driving home I realized that We did not receive any bread which was advised with our meal on the menu. The desserts looks good I think that I will try it next time. I suggest that they add cabbage and cornbread dressing to the menu. Give this place a try. read more

Came here for lunch on a recommendation while in McDonough for training. There was seven of us in our group and everyone was thoroughly impressed with our food. Between the ribs and wings to the greens and black eyed peas and mac and cheese, everything was delicious. WINGS!!!! The wings here are incredible! You have to try the "Country Girl", Madea" and "Chicago" wing flavors. All wonderfully spicy combinations. Placed an order of 40 wings to go. The service was prompt and everything made to order fresh. So it took a few minutes, but was well worth the wait. I didn't try the wings until I got them home but WOW! I was so impressed. Can't believe I didn't find them earlier. Also had some of the delicious collard greens and OMGoodness the Mac & Cheese was absolutely spectacular!!!! We read the reviews and were extremely excited to try this soul food everyone spoke so highly about ... unfortunately it fell very short. Raised in the South I love the typical spread of country food like the next southerner but the best thing about this place was the greeting we received upon walking in and placing our order. The fried chicken was barely breaded and tasted of old oil. The collards were standard, mashed potatoes seemed like potato flakes and on the way out we noticed the health food score was an 85. Went to try out their turkey wings on Sunday afternoon. First this place is located in an industrial area connected to a gas station. The drive from the interstate exit felt like forever but we were so excited about trying some soul food. Well pulled up and only saw one car in the parking lot so that was kinda puzzling. Walked in and was immediately greeted by the owner . Now here's where things changed, ok so we expected some good food. I was very surprised to walk in and did not smell anything. Like no food which we all know soul food carries an aroma. That being said it was kind of awkward to just turn around and leave because there was a couple there eating and the owner was showing us the menu. So as I said we went for the turkey wings only to find out that it's a special that is only served on Tuesday's. He said today they were serving pork chops fried or smothered. They also had fried fish, chicken and bbq and the several sides which I believe was around $3.00. However as I said earlier we did not smell any food so we knew that we should not even waste our time or his and it was time to go. He was very nice and seemed very proud of his menu etc. I really wanted this to be a good experience but I will not be returning because all I can keep thinking about it smelling no food. Which leads my mind to wonder are they serving fresh food or did they have a little microwave in the back to heat up your food. The restaurant was clean and they had about 6-8 tables so maybe this was just a starter place.
