I liked it, and it seems to be very popular. My barber just opened an additional shop next door and I stopped in last night for dinner after my haircut. My food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and the owner ensured that I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal. I ordered the Fried Whiting with Shrimp Fried Rice and it was simply delicious. The food was good and they have a very extensive menu with a variety of options from Hibachi, to seafood, to wings. Don't sleep on them. The service is really really slow and the quality control isn't that great. Ordered 2 price Whiting and I guess because the pieces are so small they gave me 3. The disconnect- the sign over the door grabbed me the first time I saw it. Bold, easy to read and clean and crisp. But when you walk inside you are greeted with the cold, dated ambiance mentioned above and the messy front counter with four (4) hand printed signs. And yet they have a digital menu board. Very "Mom & Pop" which many prefer but a few small improvements could go a long way in making the inside match the image the sign conveys. In other words the sign oversold the experience. Very bad experience. Fried rice had egg shells throughout. Had to stop eating it and toss. We came in at 830pm there was noone out front. They were all in the back hanging out. Had to yell to get attention. Finally got someone who didnt speak English nor did she know how to work register so she had to get someone from back. Let me say first I do like the food for the most part however, I've had a few bad experiences with the hibachi a few times but the cheese steak is pretty good. My biggest issues with this place is they take the phone off the hook when you try to order this happened at least three times and my compliant is either you do call in orders or you don't. This happened on one instance and when I got to the restaurant it was barely no one there and I actually called the store right in front of the clerk he said it got busy so he had to slow down orders so the they could keep up. The food is good but they don't answer the phone. Last week I called at 8:29, the phone rang and rang, I called back and it went straight to a message, repeatedly. I drove up to the restaurant and went in to place my order they said they shut their phones off at 8:30 (they close at 9). Tonight I called at 8:04. The phone was already cut off. We tried calling several times. I decided since they did not want to answer their phone for take out order we would spend our money elsewhere. On to ChickFilA I went.
