Sure, you can buy liquor just about anywhere...but genuine service, kindness and personal attention are rare these days this is what sets them apart from other stores. Adrain and Brittain go above and beyond to make every visit feel special. They greet you like family, remember your favorites and will even track down special bottles. That kind of care is not something I take for granted or that you can put a price on. Lately, they have also hosted phenomenal wine tastings and classes which have been such a fun addition. It is clear they are passionate about what they do and about creating a great experience for their customers. If you have not checked them out yet, you are missing out. Mr. and Mrs. Moon shared a lot of info on their spirits, allowed us to taste test new (and old) products, and were just generally enthusiastic to answer our whiskey questions and change our minds about flavored spirits. Now, Deans is our (wife & I) go-to place not just for spirits but gift giving as well. They will custom engrave products that you purchase from them. Last week I had a wine order shipped by Brentwood (AKA Benchmark Wines) to me. The reason I have my wine shipped to a fed ex store is that I am rarely home during Fed Ex delivery hours. Fortunately, this time I was home to receive my wine but i wanted to be sure that this mistake did not happen again so I called them last week, twice. Unfortunately, no one answered their phone which seems to be normal for this company. They just want you to leave a message which, in and of itself should be a red flag about dealing with this company. But even worse is they don't seem to be capable of responding to voicemail messages or even Emails as not only did I leave two voicemail messages but I also Emailed them requesting a phone call. All to no avail. Frustrated, I called Benchmark wines in NAPA Valley, CA. This is a great company. A live person always answers their phone and responds immediately to all requests. I quickly was informed that NAPA Benchmark has absolutely no connection with Brentwood/Benchmark Wines. Nevertheless, Kara was kind enough to offer to contact them, give them my phone number and share my request for a phone call. Although Brentwood responded several minutes after my phone call with Kara, they responded with an Email. I immediately replied to their Email requesting a phone call and provided my cell phone number. Ha, Ha, Ha. Never happened. What can I say? I will never do business with this company again as it is no fun to be ignored.
