We came here to meet my sisters and spend the day with my niece who is turning 3 years old. The day was going well, we paid for 7 people total and a pony ride for the 3 YO toddler. After a couple of hours of fun in the sun and with the animals, we all sat at one of the picnic tables and brought some snacks and cupcakes. In the middle of singing happy birthday to my 3 YO niece, this lady walks up to us and starts yelling at us and telling us we have to leave and that we can't have "a birthday party". The toddler starts crying. We are never coming back here again, none of us knew we can't sing happy birthday at a petting zoo, none of us knew we can't use a picnic table, there were no signs saying that. Even if she needed to tell us (paying customers) to leave, she could've talked to one of the adults instead of interrupting a child's happy birthday song and making her cry. We live 10 minutes away and we would've come back here if it wasn't for this rude woman. Apparently this is the owner, and she was being rude to her staff throughout the day as well. All of the other staff we came across were friendly and none of them told us we couldn't use a picnic table to sing happy birthday for the child. I still can't believe how rude this woman was to her customers and staff. read more

Have been here a handful of times since the Summer of 2020 and have always had a good experience, so I decided to have my son's first birthday party here September 2021. The staff member with us (Sophia) was helpful and was frequently asking what I needed help with. She helped us set up and take down as well. The decorations were all set up upon our arrival. They had balloons and tablecloths set up for us. The only thing I brought related to decor was a backdrop and "happy birthday" sign for the dessert table. Also brought our desserts and food. The party room was clean and all of our guests complimented how well kept the farm was. There was a high chair for the birthday boy and 6 larger tables for the guests (there were a bunch more outdoors as well but all of our guests ate in the party room). I appreciated having the entire farm and party room to ourselves. All of the kids enjoyed their play time in the yard (a bunch of toys, some ride on car/roller coasters, sand area, and more out there to keep them busy) in addition to the petting farm itself. They also enjoyed riding the horse. I would recommend some rain boots if you're coming after heavy rain. It gets muddy on the farm. The only downside was that I had to bring literally everything needed along with us such as plates, silverware, napkins, a knife and spatula and lighter for the cake (just some examples).... It would be awesome if some of those things were provided by Carousel Acres but it was no big deal since I knew in advance. This still didn't take away from the experience. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time here and would recommend it for others! I would definitely have another party here again. read more

So at at first when visiting over the summer I was impressed by the assortment of animals they had. But once I made my way towards the back I found a LOT of animals in distress. She (called herself the owner) had two ARTIC FOXES pacing and panting rapidly from one end of the cage to the other, clearly stressing out. When I couldn't handle it anymore I called her over to say they were not doing well and she said "oh, that's how he plays" and I said UMMMM NO. He's panting. And pacing hard back and forth and even making whimpering cries. She proceeded to say, he's fine. And walked away. Clearly she cared more about her profits for the day than the well being of her animals! :( read more

We had a party at our house for my granddaughter's birthday and Carousel acres brought amazing animals! The people that worked for Carousel acres were so nice. The animals were so friendly and clean the kids had a blast. They even brought a chicken and while the kids were all around the chicken it laid an egg, the kids freaked out they loved it. The pony they brought for rides was the sweetest thing in the world. I highly recommend Carousel acres for any parties for kids you can't beat the price. read more

The pony i reserved was poorly behaved and the staff was unable to control "cherokee". Each child got ONE very short ride. When it was time for the second round of rides the staff said the horse needed a "break" which was about 15 minutes. Once the break was over the staff called back to the owner and requested another horse because they one he had wasnt cooperating. The reservation was from 4-5 however with only 15 mins of ride time, 20 mins to wait for another horse, and another 15 mins to calm the second horse, there was only time for pictures with the second horse at that point. The owner, was rude and unprofessional. Accused me of simply not wanting to pay which wasnt the case. I wanted what i paid for and the quote was 260.00!! for ONE hour of which my guests didnt receive. The birthday girl herself didnt even get a second ride!! Then the owner showed up after the party arguing with me, texting me, harassing me and threatened to call the police. i most definitely WOULD NOT recommend this mobile petting farm. Very Unsatisfied Customer!!!! read more

Owner didn't wear mask inside lobby nor outside on tour. Wouldn't mind since outside but she got in kids faces with animals several times. Summer camp was going on at same time and none of the counselors were wearing masks. Didn't feel super safe nor clean. read more

All of our guests are still talking about what a great time the kids had from the pony rides to petting all the animals! Madison who ran the party helped all the decor and party needs! I am so happy that I had my daughters birthday party here. The staff were amazing with the kids. They offered pony rides, a petting zoo and a large outdoor play area. So much of it was hands on and the kids loved feeding the birds apples and bottle feeding the baby goats and cows. Their indoor party room was large, clean and nicely decorated for us with table linen and balloons. I also liked that it was air conditioned and included a bathroom. The best part was that the staff did a great job leading the kids from one activity to another. We started off with pony rides, and then they took the kids as a group to the see and interact with the animals throughout the farm. The adults had a great time as well and were able participate with the kids. I highly recommend carousel acres for any event! read more

I would give zero stars but yelp doesn't allow it. I was at the Premier Pet Supply Livonia barking lot party where Carousel Acres's mobile petting farm was featured. I am not a fan of exploiting animals for entertainment to begin with, but this was despicable. They had a young cow, an alpaca, two baby goats (who had been de-horned, which is not necessary or good for goats), three lambs, a miniature pony, a donkey, and several rabbits squeezed into a tiny pen ON HOT CEMENT. It was 90 degrees and VERY sunny and they had these animals in almost no shade, not caring about their safety at all. They had a very thin layer of bedding down on the cement, hardly enough to shield the animals feet from the burning cement. I watched the poor cow (who is rented from a dairy farm...think about what is going to happen to this cow after she is no longer small and pettable, people) lay on the hot cement miserably for hours before one of the TWO attendants (that's right, two attendants total for over half a dozen wild animals needing to be cared for) sprayed her with a water bottle. I was absolutely appalled by the treatment of these beautiful animals. If you consider yourself a true animal lover, you will not support this company or any company like it. This is animal abuse for the entertainment of selfish humans, plain and simple. I also watched the two attendants abandon their post to drag the two terrified baby goats into the PHOTOBOOTH to be subjected to four bright flashes that even children don't enjoy, let alone baby goats who can't consent to this crap. Way to go carousel acres, you are despicable. read more
