This was my second experience having this express procedure done with Carpal Tunnel Express and, once again, I had a great experience with them and would highly recommend them to anyone suffering from carpal tunnel pain. For the record, this is my second surgery of the same hand, having had a standard carpal carpal tunnel release surgery about 6 years ago in Arizona with a one and a half inch scar on hand/wrist area to prove it. I had my express procedure done 5 days ago and already everything is 100% better. I went in with major pain, including shock-like lightening pain shooting through my hand and wrist making me drop whatever was in my hand, numbness, tingling, burning sensation, etc and was looking forward to getting the numbing shot just so I could get some relief after going through this pain for months. Not only did I finally get the relief I was hoping for, but I also got the most comfortable lazy-chair/recliner in the world to recline in while Dr Jurbala did the procedure, as well as the best team ever. These people are extremely caring, curteous, best bed-side manner I've seen in years. And it wasn't a one-off either. They were like that when I went a couple of years ago for my left hand as well. It's really a great feeling to not be treated like a number or a dollar sign, nor to feel like they have a quota to meet and rush you through. They took time for my questions and made me feel comfortable with their knowledge and experience. So today is my fifth day after surgery, and although it might not be like this for every one, I can tell you, after following all instructions to a "t", doing the hand exercises recommended, etc I am gaining my strength back faster than I expected. I have no more shooting pains, no numbness, no tingling, and am looking forward to building back my strength gradually so I can get back to my regular activities. The surgery itself has left me with a small incision that looks like a little puncture wound that is already healing and doesn't even look like I had surgery. It is actually less than a quarter of the length of the prior Arizona surgery. If you or a loved one have carpal tunnel pain, forget about the old-fashioned carpal tunnel release and give this team a try. I can guarantee you, no matter what the cost or the distance, I would never go back to having the old procedure and be stuck for weeks post surgery of not being able to do anything and having to baby my hand while it recovers. I had left hand carpal tunnel surgery and right hand trigger finger surgery on the same day on Dec. 3, 2018. The carpal tunnel surgery turned out OK, however, I still have some soreness at the incision site. I had to go back for a second surgery on the trigger finger and it still is not correct. Still very difficult to close my finger against my hand. I have had dozens of OT therapy sessions on the finger and finally on June 26, 2019 I decided there was no gain by continuing therapy. I cannot recommend them. They really never followed up after my second surgery. Kind of out of sight, out of mind. read more

I had the bilateral carpal tunnel surgery this passed Friday Sept. 27 2019. I have mixed views. The staff is amazing. Very nice and comforting. Especially Kim. She makes you feel very at ease and comforted which is important because everyone walking in for a procedure is nervous and anxious to some degree. The Dr was knowledgeable and it was obvious that I was in capable hands. The procedure itself was not bad at all. The initial numbing was probably the worst part and even that wasn't more than as he explained "a lightening strike." Then you sit while the numbing takes place. I sat about 40 minutes and believe me, I was completely numb. Kim checked on me while waiting. Then the Dr comes in to do the procedure. I felt nothing except a lot of pulling and tugging. I estimate each hand was only about 10 minutes start to finish. The Dr ran through how to care for the wounds and when to expect to go back to work. So i feel up until this point everything was fine and as expected. My mixed feelings are that I was told that I could drive home afterwards. That my hands would be numb but I could still drive if I wanted. NO WAY! Thank god I had someone with me. My hands were so numb that I couldn't even open my car door. Couldn't seatbelt myself, couldn't manage keys or literally do ANYTHING for the next 3 hours. Don't get me wrong... that is how it should be so you don't endure any pain during the surgery. My issue is it is no way safe to allow ppl to drive or expect to be able to drive afterwards. I understand that everyone is different and reacts differently to anesthesia but I have a high tolerance to pain and my hands were completely useless afterwards. Next issue, I was told that the next 3 days would be some minor pain and they provided Tylenol, Aleve and pain medication that may or may not need to be used. They insinuated that it would be more of a mildish pain and discomfort for the 1st cpl days. Never once did they say to be sure to have help. I literally couldn't do anything at all the first 2 days. Couldn't use the bathroom, open the medicine, get drinks of water, couldn't hold a phone to even call for help. Maybe that was something that should of been expected on my part, but I feel like they should of made sure to STRESS this. They made it seem like this was a virtually painless procedure and the home care afterwards would be relatively easy. Like I said above, I have a high tolerance to pain and I was completely dependent on my family for 3 days. Now it is day 5 and things are a million times better. I am so glad I did this procedure without a doubt. I have had no carpal tunnel pain or numbness while sleeping since the surgery. So I am more than happy. I just firmly believe that the patients should be fully aware of what to expect. They can not expect to leave the office and drive or be able to do ANYTHING for at least 2 days afterwards. And it needs to be stressed. Without this knowledge, the patient is being set up to fail. I hope this review helps down the road in new patients. With that being said, I think your procedure and staff are great. I would recommend anyone with carpal tunnel symptoms to make an appointment sooner rather than later. I am visiting Florida from up north for a few months. I planned to have my Carpel Tunnel problem evaluated when I got home, but my symptoms just kept getting worse. One morning I found the Carpel Tunnel Express ad online and checked out Dr. Jurbala's credentials and read every review I could find. His credentials and experience were impressive and the reviews were very positive, so I made an appointment. Everything happened just as the website said it would. I was examined the morning of my appointment which confirmed Carpel Tunnel in both wrists. I had both done immediately following the evaluation by Dr. Jurbala. The entire two procedures took less than 40 mins. There was very little pain involved. Much less than I expected. After the initial injection of anaesthetic there is no more pain during the procedure. I left with a large band aid on each palm. In the days following I never needed the prescription pain meds - only Tylenol for two days and that was it! It is now ten days after my procedure and both incisions are healing well. I now have just a small band aid covering each. Slight soreness at the site, but no pain whatsoever. I am already noticing some improvement in the numbness in my hands and the former pain in my fingers is gone. I am very happy I found Dr. Jurbala and his clinic. I would recommend him and this procedure to anyone. read more
