The lady that was cutting my hair was styling her friend's hair and stopped in the middle of that to cut my hair. I explained that I had recently had a haircut and I just wanted the back and sides shorter then blended into to the top. I asked her if she would have to clipper it and she said, "yes". She immediately shaved the sides and the back up so high that it would be impossible to blend it into the top of my hair. I told her this was not what I wanted and she said that what I asked for "would not look good" and that she would blend it. Thus admitting she was not doing what I asked!!! She then selected another clipper guard and left me with just a patch of hair on the very top and front of my head, and there is no blend between the long and short hair. Also, where she stopped shaving on either side is uneven. At that point, she acted like she was done, and I asked her if there was something else she could do to blend it, she got very defensive and told me that what I had asked for would look terrible, and that this was "how she was taught to do it". While saying that, she took the cape off and motioned for her friend to get back into the chair. I tried to pay and she rudely told me not to worry about it. I don't know how anyone would think my hair looked good. Honestly, my family thought it was a joke and could not believe that anyone would do that to someone's hair. It is so bad I wonder if the girl is even licensed to cut hair. Stay away!!!

I noticed some other reviews about Blu Raven salon and I thought I should take a little time to clear some things up. "Scott P" says "he" saw Raven do drugs in the bathroom and the bathroom door was "ripped off". These things don't make sense for several reasons. -Blu Raven is a salon for women only. -Blu Raven salon is in a building with multiple tenants that share a central bathroom -Blu Raven's common area bathroom is actually a toilet/ sink off off the shampoo room. As you can see from pictures, it would be difficult for "Scott" to see into the little bathroom, especially since the salon is about 10-12 feet down the hall. You have to walk out of the salon, turn, walk 10-12 feet down the hall, turn again, walk 4 feet or so, and turn again to get to the shampoo room. To get to the toilet area you have to walk another 8-10 feet, pass 3 shampoo chairs and the washer and dryer to get to the door of the toilet/bathroom. The other poster, "Hannah" is actually Katherine Freeman. Katherine, if you were actually burned you could have told Raven. People that get burned by hair chemicals tend to speak up immediately. If there was a true chemical burn happening, you would not have left the salon to go get money that you supposedly forgot (who goes to a hair appointment with no money?!?). It sure does seem like "Hannah" had planned to stiff Raven from the start! (Thanks to "Hannah" Raven now uses a different pay system so no one has to leave to go to the bank/ATM! She said I must have a sensitive scalp to the bleach (which Ive never experienced before her). A few moths later I wanted to go back brown. She put a copper she put the copper on another lady color (not sure why she chose copper when I asked for a mahogany brown) which ended up being a bright orange and my greys were a metallic orange. She then went to put on another color to fix this disaster that was supposed to be brown. This time it was sort of red brown but again my roots were now a metallic red! She proceeds to tell me shes not a magician and that its my medications (which Ive been on for 6 years and NEVER had a reaction). Then calls me to tell me she put the copper on another lady who had the exact same reaction and wanted to know what my meds were so she could start a log book! Who does that?? She said the reason my greys turned metallic was due to a reaction from the meds. But I consulted 2 other stylist at very reputable salons in Tulsa who said she should've used a base on the greys and I had blisters because she used a #30 developer. She also told me she was sending two emails out to Redkin and Pravan color companies because she had reactions on other clients hair. Also that she did a Keratin treatment on a client that it burned her hair. So can you see thecommon denominator? And to top it o\all off she expected me to pay her TWICE for a service that she never completed! I asked for brown with pink ombre. Not orange! Not metallic red! She refuses to accept any responsibility to myself or any of her other clients. Oh did I mention a friend went to her for brown hair and ended up with metallic purple roots?? This girl is delusional. I NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS, i have never in my life experienced anything like this and its honestly…read moreheartbreaking today i found this salon after some research, messaged the manager explaining exactly what i wanted and showed a picture of what was my current hair i explained i had a lot of new growth and wanted to bring it up, it looked way too overgrown and i wanted to bring up the root and tone my whole head when i sat in the stylists chair i physically showed her with my fingers multiple times how much of my natural color/root i am comfortable keeping it was about an inch give or take she made me feel really comfortable and secure it's very scary going to a new salon and trusting someone with your hair i also told her verbally multiple times i am wanting to bring up my new growth more than anything i didn't care so much about the green blonde but if we could tone everything to match that would have been great i never asked for color remover never asked for highlights i really was confused when she started doing foils, i didn't know she was only doing highlights at the time i couldn't see myself so i genuinely thought she was bringing up my new growth as we talked about along with highlights we talked about her doing that and blending my roots so everything looked together enough i told her multiple times my biggest thing was the darkness i had, and she kept assuring me it was going to work out and that she understood after sitting under the dryer she brought me back to the chair and took out the foils, i still couldn't see myself for a few and once i did i noticed it was still dark when i noticed she seemed to notice my face and assure me it was because my hair was wet she then decided she wanted to try color remover i asked her NUMEROUS times if it was going to be damaging, i never once asked for color remover but seemed as if she was almost promising and offering so i thought it would be fine im going to say, i really trusted haley, she was very nice and warm at first. She really did make me feel comfortable again my concern wasn't specifically only the green, just the overgrown roots she did the color remover, it worked okay then she started toning, after all was finished she started drying my hair and it looked awful i once again still don't even care about the green my hair is just as dark as when i came in just with highlights it made me feel so down and i have a hard time speaking out so i asked to use the bathroom when i got in the bathroom i looked in the mirror and just started crying i had spent 4-5 hours there and this is what i got when i came out i was apologizing for crying and her whole demeanor changed, she had an attitude, a nasty tone, never apologized, she then went on to tell me i could come back saturday but pay for it once i started explaining what happened verbatim she went from blaming me to saying "i misunderstood" she told me 3-4 times she "misunderstood" never apologized still, i asked to speak to her manager and she ignored me i genuinely was going to pay in the moment, even being upset i thought i should as i went to grab my things and ask if she takes card or digital payment she very nastily said "you're not leaving here without paying" that just made me feel so awful i had every intention of paying her even though she messed up that made me feel so small i went outside and stood there for 5-10 mins calling people asking for advice her and another lady just looked at me out of the window talking i messaged her and the manager and was ignored but sent different invoices after my texts all i wanted was an apology and a fix that i don't have to "pay for" because i didn't mess up i was extremely clear with what i wanted so im not understanding how she misunderstood
