Made arrangements to have an installer visit our 100+ year old beach house to be sure that the luxury vinyl flooring we chose would be able to lay flat on our uneven floors. Got a great sales price, install was both fast and flawless. Very good communication with the company. Got this thing telling me review is shorter than most. Complements are quick easy and usually short while complaints ramble on. Folks are quick to complain slow to compliment. Good job I'll be back for another project it 2 I have in mind. read more

The wood ordered was poor quality, the length of time to install much longer than promised, often had one man come for half day on flooring for entire house, several problems were never fixed, gaps in flooring, nail holes, squeaky board, but they did give me small reduction in price. Communication with client extremely poor. Process was a huge headache. read more

We waited one month for our scheduled backsplash install with carpet corner. The day before they were to come, my wife left a message asking what time they would arrive, since we had not heard from them. She had to call them again on the scheduled day of install, to ask what time they were going to arrive. When she was told they would arrive at 1, she mentioned more communication would have been appreciated. About 20 minutes later, the office lady called back and said they have decided to completely cancel our job. She said the installers were having difficulty with the project before ours and since they wouldnt be able to be at our house until 1, they felt that we were not going to be happy with their work no matter what they did. So instead of apologizing to us and rescheduling, they completely canceled our job! It is beyond us how companies can work like this. We will never recomend this company to anyone. read more

I went by Carpet Corner in Gearhart to look at some samples of counter top materials and make an appointment for an estimate. The very nice fellow at the desk answered my questions and said that his son would call me in the next couple of days. A month and a half latter.. no response at all!  I am a patient and resonable person, and perhaps something came up, perhaps. However, when I offer to give money to a business, I expect at least an attempt at a response. I support local businesses as much as possible. This is not a business that seems to care much as possible. read more

I'd never used Carpet Corner before, but I always try to support a local business over a big corporation. I simply needed carpet stretched in two bedrooms. The guy came out to look at the rooms, and said it would likely be a minimum charge job, and said they didn't have an appointment available until almost three weeks out. No problem. The appointment was set for a Tuesday. A couple days prior, I received a couple messages saying they had something open up and were available to come on Monday if I liked, and call them if I wanted to do that. I didn't respond, as I was busy and Monday wouldn't work for me. Come Tuesday, no show. I'm busy, so I figure I'll drop by in a day or two. So I stop by to find out what happened, and a nice older lady helps me. I tell her what happened, and she seems friendly and concerned. She then looks for my paperwork that the guy who estimated filled out, and she cannot find anything. She then asks again if anyone came out, because she has no record. I tell her yes and give her details. She says she doesn't know why there's no paperwork, but she'll find out what's up. She then says THEY PROBABLY WEREN'T AVAILABLE BECAUSE THEY GOT A BIG JOB. Hmm. I wait three weeks for a quick service and they bump me? She says the guy who would know what happened wasn't there, and she'd ask him about it the next day and have him call me. She apologized. She had no idea what was going on, yet she apologized. That was nice. It would be the only sliver of customer service or concern that I'd receive. He (I assume it's Don, who I presume may be the owner) calls the next day, and says, matter of factly and without any hint of concern, because I didn't get back to them, they didn't come to do the job. I shared that coming on Monday was phrased as an option for me, in that if I wanted them to come on Monday they could, but it was never stated that could not make it on Tuesday. No apology for the miscommunication. Hmm. I tell them I'll look at my schedule and reschedule. When I try to reschedule, I'm told they'll have to look at the schedule and they'll call me by Monday, to let me know when they can squeeze me in that week. Come Monday, no call. I call the next day or two, tell them I was supposed to receive a call by Monday and didn't, and they say, again, matter of factly and without any evident concern, "We have you scheduled for Monday of next week", and gives me a firm early-morning timeframe where they'll show. As though somehow we'd spoken and arranged the appointment together. Really? How does he schedule me without seeing if I was available, then doesn't even tell me I have an appointment? I don't press the issue, I just say that will work fine. I just want it done. Come Monday, no one comes within the timeframe. I wait another hour or so just in case, then I call. I get a machine. I leave a message and say I'm getting frustrated, as I've had three or four encounters, get appointments and promises, and no one follows through or communicates. I get a call back within the hour, asking if I'm home and they can send someone out quickly. Again, no admission of their having been remiss in any manner. No apology. Nothing. The installers show 30 minutes later, are civil, and do the job quickly. Like in 30 minutes. It looks fine. I'm more bothered now, as I wonder why, if the job only took 30 minutes, Carpet Corner would break an appointment I had for three weeks as though it would be impossible to work in a 30 minute appointment. Keep in mind I live 5 miles from the store. A couple hours later I get a call from Don, who called to ask if the installers made it out. I tell him yes, and he asks where to send the bill. I tell him, and I figure we're at least done and I won't have to deal with these people anymore. So I'm pleasant. He then says, (again, brusquely and without any concern), "you were second on the list today, and they were headed there next." Now I'm getting irritated. So I say my concern is that I was given a specific window of time, I waited an additional hour, and I received no call. I then repeat the other multiple circumstances where I received no follow up or communication. He then says, in a very unconcerned manner, "Well it's done, that's the main thing." Silence. I hang up. Not only does he not apologize for ANY part of this horrible ordeal, his tone shows complete disregard for a customer. He apparently couldn't care any less. This is EASILY the worst customer service I've received in many, many years. Perhaps they do a good job if the deal is big. Who knows. For me, I'd rather find some decrepit, drunken, toothless hobos, show them some YouTube videos on how to install carpet, and cross my fingers. Avoid this place at all costs. The worst. And I don't bother writing reviews, but this experience drove me to it. read more

Wonderful experience working with this business. The whole staff was always friendly and helpful. They were organized and clear with their scheduling and showed up when they said they would. Our floor turned out beautifully and they worked fast. Highly recommend this place for flooring! read more
