Tile work was deficient. Builder had them come back twice but still not done right. We wanted to move into our new house so we closed and offered to contact carpet den to schedule another attempt to do the job right. Then COVID hit. We were in no hurry to have someone in due to COVID. Eventually they contacted our builder and claimed they had been trying to contact us. There had been no vm's, texts or missed calls from their business. I contacted them to schedule. THEY picked the day and time but then never showed up or contacted us. When I called to ask what happened a woman in the office implied it was somehow our mistake. I assured her it was their error. She was very rude but then let me speak to Norbert who was kind enough to apologize and reschedule. He said they would call to confirm on Friday before the Monday work date. He suggested I call him that Friday also. Never heard from them. When I finally reached him that Friday he said he was 30 minutes away from his office and would check it and call me back then. Never heard back from him. We were pleasantly SURPRISED when someone showed up. Brian was pleasant and actually did the work right that had previously been bungled THREE times. Some of their installers are clearly not competent and their customer relation skills are terrible. read more

Pros: Finished product is great, knowledgeable salesman Cons: Installation process (details listed below) We wanted to replace our floors so we shopped around and met David at Carpet Den. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting us pick the flooring we wanted. We ultimately chose luxury vinyl plank flooring and set up installation. We were told the crew would start around 8am on a Tuesday morning. We held up our end of the bargain and completely prepared the house as instructed; we also set up a plumber to come pull all of our toilets and pedestal sink at 7:30am. The installation crew showed up at 11:30am so we sat for 4 hrs with no toilets. No apology nor explanation was given. The crew was now working from behind from the beginning. Day 2, another contracted crew came in to finish the toerail/trim, but were delayed due to the original flooring crew being so far behind schedule. We were told the process would take two days so we had the plumber scheduled to come back at the end of the second day. He did, but could not reinstall our master bathroom toilet, again because the crew was so behind. They stayed until 8pm the second day and the late finish evidently prevented them from being able to clean up after themselves. There were nails, splinters, piles of planks, thick dust, drink bottles, small tools lying all around our house and driveway. We cleaned for over 3 hours after they left. Although we paid an additional several hundred dollars for them to install flooring in our furnished house and a separate charge to move appliances, they did not attempt to return the furniture to the correct place or even the correct room. They left the washer and dryer outside; they did not return them to the laundry room. We had to ask about the transition pieces, around the fireplace and the hallway/bathroom upstairs (we kept some carpet upstairs). It appears they were not going to place them; the head of the crew went out to the van to "see what he had" and informed us he did not have the correct color for the transition from bathroom to carpet upstairs. They did some slight damage to our bed, dragging it around and causing the supports to strip and some to come off (they left those laying in random places) and splintered some of the wood around the bed frame. We called and sent an email to David afterward explaining our concerns and frustrations that included several pictures. After a week, he and the owner/manager contacted us to rectify the issue. I applaud their willingness to listen to what happened, and take ownership - even though it was a third party contractor that was the issue - and make it right. The finished product looks great and we are happy with our new floors. David made a great flooring recommendation. read more

Exceptionally impressed with the professionalism and knowledge of Carpet Den Interiors, both the sales representative and the installation crew. Their sales rep was extremely knowledgeable about all of the products carried when I visited the store and was able to quickly locate samples as I began narrowing in on what I wanted. She counselled me on different grades and made sure I understood pros/cons and pricing before I made my selection. The really unexpected bonus was the absolute professionalism and skill of the installation team. They were replacing a carpeted master suite with multiple levels and several transition pieces between different flooring surfaces, and quickly determined how it could all be made one level. Genius! Totally opened up the space from an awkward collection of add-on rooms above a garage to a true single suite. And did it all in one day which was impressive as it was 3 rooms and a small hall. I have had hardwood installed before by a nationally-advertised company - total nightmare lasting 7 days for smaller area - it was installed wrong and it was painful to hear the crew lead guy begging me not to tell his company. We built a home in 2015 and Carpet Den was the installer. Our hardwoods started peeling and flaking and I reached out to Carpet Den for help filing a claim with Mohawk. They gave me the run around and false information regarding inspector fees. I never once have felt they were my advocate in helping me get my floor replaced. They finally filled a claim and Mohawk denied it. I called and left 3 messages as well as an email with the manager and no one has called me back. I would recommend going elsewhere for your flooring needs. And I would recommend not purchasing engineered hardwood in espresso from Mohowk. It's a poor quality floor and their Warrenty is worthless! read more

We had new hardwood flooring installed 3 weeks ago. The installation process was handled professionally with few problems. One week later the staining/finishing process began. We were told we would need to be out of our home for 3 days. 6 days later we were finally able to return home. Upon arrival, we found areas all over the flooring that were unstained due to poor sanding. We immediately contacted the sales person and were promised a fix quickly. After 5 employees (installer, sales person, retail manager, installation supervisor, and wood flooring distributor) have visited, we have yet to have anyone fix our floors. All of them state, "This looks bad!," but no one wants to take ownership of the problem. The owner wants to blame the installer and the wood distributor. No one wants to accept the costs of repair, as the repair means sanding and starting over. Did I mention we had to pay for 1/2 of this up front? Meanwhile, our entire downstairs has no furniture (all in storage), and our house is non-functional, while someone decides who has enough integrity to fix this mess regardless of what it means to their bottom line. After trying to get a fix for over a week, we have resorted to paying someone else to refinish the floors. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN! I am considering a permit to allow for picketing outside of their business. read more

BUYER BEWARE! Check your measures! It is normal to have an excess waste of about 10%. I ordered carpet in three rooms which totaled roughly 520 sq ft. I was charged 672 sq ft. and after throwing away the small waste pieces, I still have 149 sq ft of carpet rolled up in my garage. To add insult to injury, though the contract read $4.18/sq ft for the platinum quality carpet which even for 672 sq feet would total $2808, I was charged $3109. I have been trying to get help with this for 3 months. Johnny came to my house and admitted the measures were wrong a month ago but today retracts this and denies the measures are wrong. Traci promised yesterday to process at least the $301 refund for charging over the contract price, but guess what, NO CREDIT. I have now had to file a dispute with my credit card and will hire a PROFESSIONAL to do a proper measure so I can calculate the amount I will file in small claims COURT. It is sad to move to Nashville and immediately be treated so poorly. read more

Had several crews work at our house and only one spoke english. No communication between sales and installers. I would never recommend this business to anyone after our terrible experience, not with the associate but the manager also.The long delays of pricing to installation dates. Then during the installation the crew that was doing the tear out, showed up over 2 hours late; no phone call, nothing. During the installation we had property stolen from us and had to issue a police report. After 2 unsuccessful return calls from the manager, I was finally able to get through to her. She completely disregarded any of my concerns, and told me there is no way she believed "they" would do such as thing. Basically telling me she was not going to follow up with the installation crew at all. When I spoke about the delays her response was..we have been slammed. I guess my business was too much for them to handle. After another week, she called me to finally "return" the 2 calls I had left messages for, and she had no idea who I was. Again I am really sure she was on top of my stolen property. She even advised me to "look around" in my home for the stolen property which was specifically taken from my closet. Even my concern of the installation crew showing up over 2 hours late with no phone call, the manager stated well we work them pretty hard. Don't let them fool you with their low marginal pricing crap, I had 5 other quotes from local flooring businesses, and went with this company because of a $100 credit. And the credit was not even applied to my bill until I asked for it. The whole experience was not worth the $100, the treatment, or lack of treatment given to my business. And for the product, I am sure I would have received the same quality from one of the other local businesses. I will be speaking with the BBB as well. read more

We have used Carpet Den multiple times in the past year. The first time was to install new carpeting throughout our home. The second time was to repair and replace flooring after we experienced water damage. On both occasions, we worked with Traci McCormick. She was excellent in helping us choose the right product and then executing install. The install crews were amazing. Our entire ground floor had to be replaced, and installers completed the job before the estimated finish date. Not only that, but our install crew returned the next week to replace a piece of trim that we had been missing. Our wood floors and our carpet look very nice, and we are so impressed with the finish work. Their pricing was right in line with other bids we received, and the quality of install was fantastic. We had water damage in our dental office in dental office in Brentwood, Tennessee. We initially picked out a carpet that we were told was satisfactory and then asked to get a lower grade because it needed to be the same as what was damaged. It has not even been close. I would like to have the 10 yr. old carpet back. We have had this carpet for 15 months and it has frayed and torn at the seam. It was a horrible installation. The transition strips were never glued down. We asked d for a meeting and it was obvious that the employee from Carpet Den was not willing to figure out a solution. He said he would cut the fraying and glue the strips. My suggestion would be to ask for the mfg. rep to come out and inspect the carpet and then decide on the proper course of action. I promptly said OK because I am not going to waste my time with a company that is not willing to look for a win/ win solution. He actually blamed us for not calling soon enough. As if that caused the fraying and seams coming apart.I am a reasonable person and I know this may sound harsh but you may want to heed my advice and look for another vendor. read more
