Awful customer service. Went in three weeks ago, put a down payment on carpet that was a Friday. Was told by salesman someone would contact me by the following Tuesday for measurement. I had to call them that Wednesday to schedule because they had forgotten. Scheduled for the next Monday then received a call the next day to set up an appointment for measurement. They had no clue I was already given an appointment for Monday. Then on Friday go a call saying they could do it in 30 minutes. Completed the measurement, was told installation would be in less than two weeks. Two weeks go by, no schedule yet for installation. Went in today under the guise of buying carpet, asked about how long installation would be was told if we measure Monday we can have it in by the end of the week. No reasonable explanation when I showed the receipt from three weeks ago. Just a terrible way to run a business, no customer service. If this is an example of their quality what kind of carpet and installation should I have expected. Let this serve as a warning go somewhere else for your purchase read more

My husband and I walked in to an honest, reliable and incredibly helpful sales experience. We were given a quote from an area competitor and I walked in with that information. Jordan was able to offer the same flooring for significantly less but then worked with us to find an even better flooring option that was equal in quality with a much better price tag. Installation scheduling was fast and easy. The installers were professional, courteous and fast. My only issue is the fact that I still have three pets and two kids who will likely ruin this masterpiece within a week. read more

We are very disappointed with the quality of the floor and service we received since purchasing it last October (2019). When choosing the material we were told it was durable, but every small stain leaves a ghost and our dog has left scratch marks in the high traffic area. When it was installed, the molding was cut vertically and left with the cut ends unpainted. We paid to have the molding replaced. Some of the spacing between boards was too large and others had the surface lifted. It took several phone calls to have them replaced. Recently we are having a similar issue and I have had to make several phone calls to bring attention to this matter. Given the option, we would have the floor removed and replaced with better materials but we do not want to incur any more financial burden. read more

There are 2 listings for this place on here... I've gotta update on the installation, etc. Our installation was supposed to happen over 2 days but when the installation guys came, they asked if we wanted the entire upstairs done on one day... OF COURSE! The only issue was that we had moved everything from the 2 rooms they were supposed to carpet into one room... To move everything out of the chock full room was bound to be a pain in the butt! There were 3 installers. One worked solely on the stairs and the other 2 worked on the rooms and hallway. When it came time to empty the 3rd room, the guys helped me move everything. This was not something they needed to do (the contract states they only move beds and big furniture (like dressers)), but in order to finish the job, they helped with the haul and helped move it all back once the rooms were complete. Our stairs were done beautifully. Even our home improvement contractor commented on what a quality job the installer did on the stairs. Overall, we would definitely do business with Carpet Factory Outlet again. We are so happy to have fresh flooring! read more

Called to the Carpet! I can't say enough about Carpet Factory Outlet! Rolls and rolls' of carpets all on the walls and floor! I love to rub my bare feets on the different carpets to test them out, but I'm not sure everyone else appreciates it. And tile, too! They even have those godawful sculptded carpets from the 80's. And the colors! The lady there was real helpful when we were looking for something weird. Don't be fooled by their name: theyre much more than carpets! The installers were great, they did a quality job and left the house in great shape. They had to come back to install the runner on the stairs and that too turned out really nice. I'm not even sure that one star is correct NO stars would be better! Let me start by saying when the owner Jeff Balsom tells you he can't give you customers satisfaction because if does he wouldn't make a profit, them I had come to realize I purchased from the WRONG carpet store and supplier. It took 3 tries to get it installed, first installation over an hour a a half late arrival then "Matt" tells me they gave him the wrong carpet paid and NO transition strip to connect to existing kitchen floor . ( only later do I learn that he screwed up and gave my up-grade pad to the previous customer he installed, probably my transition strip too!! So I call that lying!! ) then proceeds to tell me he can't come back and install because he "Matt" has a court order for visiting his quote KID, really I did not need this information. But he would be returning Saturday per the request of carpet factory outlet. But also added it would first thing 9AM and he would have the correct pad and strip.(Now I'm wondering is he bringing the "KID") So , Saturday arrives 9AM comes and goes so does 9:30 , so does 10 AM , so I call the store only to be told he's a contractor and they don't know ! Well at 10:10 2 guys walk into my home , didn't knock, with large cups of coffee from a local coffee place , I say to these two can I help you and who are you? One of them says to me DUDE this is a big room we won't be able to complete this today , the other one said we don't even work Saturday. One of the them carries in the padding which was a total different color than what I was shown in the showroom. So I asked if that was the correct pad and did they have the correct transition strip.at that point MATT just walks right into my home, and the guy with the pad says Lady in a harsh and sarcastic tone it's the right stuff! So I told him not to cut it until I called and cleared it with the saleman. At that point I was told we aren't doing this fricking job and MATT has a court appointment to see his kid and it was my fault he was breaking his order! Really?? So I told them if they would have shown up on time that they might have been done by now there were 3 of them . Well the rudeness continued and the carpet was not installed after they continued to yell at the customer in her home , they left! I make another call to action he store the salesman "Alex" won't talk to me the owners son Jordan was to take care of it only come Monday he was on vacation ( which I'm sure was convenient) and was told his the owner of the store would call me. Well the warehouse called early Monday morning and said my carpet had just been returned and could they send someone out to install.I agreed as long as it was the 3 stooges they had previously sent MATT and his so called helpers. A very nice man called Shawn Keil introduced himself as I answered the door, that he was there to install the carpet , but politely asked what happened, as he was warned to wary of installing in my home as I was crazy. So I told him this tale of drama that the other crew had made for themselves. I never got the call from the owner I had to track him down at another store and he knew nothing of what happened and so thanks Jordan for not being being honest with me and telling your Dad of the problem!! And yes Jeff the owner told me in so many words that his profit was more important than my customer satisfaction. And NO apologies for any of it!! First let me say my salesman, Jason, was absolutely wonderful--he came to my home twice to show me different colors/styles of carpeting until I picked one I really liked! Now for the bad part. They called and told me my carpeting wasn't in and that they would call me when it arrived; NO CALL. I called them a week later and the lady told me it was in, but I had to reschedule my appt. Fine, I asked if they could come out the Saturday that was originally scheduled and they said probably not, but that they would try. Today the guy calls and asks me if there is anything in the room that needs to be ripped up, or any furniture to be moved. I told him no, except for the bed, which I was going to need help with (and which was in the contract I had). He proceeded to get rude with me and said, "Well, first you said the room was clear, now you're saying there is furniture to be moved?!" I stated that if he would have given me the chance to speak, I would have explained that to him, and the salesman also told me they have to help move 3 pieces (which is in the contract). He proceeds to tell me he's only sending one person to do the carpeting, and that person is "old". I told him I was older too (63) and had a bad knee, and that I couldn't move the box spring and mattress by myself. If this is the kind of customer service that they have, I will definitely NOT be returning back for any future business! read more

Very disappointing. Shoddy workmanship, and cut corners. The main seam in the living room was not steamed and glued down properly, and still looked cheap and messed up after sending out someone for repairs. Our house was left dirty and filthy, and I have had other carpeting jobs done without these problems. Another disappointing thing was the hallway upstairs. Right near the top of our stairs a small strip was cut to fill in an area that is very obvious, when it should have taken one whole piece/section of carpet. We had Berber carpeting installed, so all these issues are blatantly obvious. Oh, another thing done carelessly were the corners around the bannister upstairs. When cutting these pieces, the installers did not pay attention to cutting these edges nearly and were simply sloppy. Sorry, we will not be calling you for services again. read more

Do not buy carpet from here. They installed the wrong carpet, and when I called to complain all they could say was that was what was written down and it's just a bunch of numbers on my receipt so I can't prove anything. The guy who came and installed the carpet was complaining the whole time, my husband had to help him carry the carpet, he installed the pad unevenly so we have a hump in the floor now, he scraped up the brand new paint on the walls so we have to repaint and he didn't put in the strip in the doorway. It was the worst experience I've ever had purchasing anything. I would not go back there. read more

I have had the worst experience dealing with this place and my carpeting is still not even installed yet. Now that i've read others posts about their work i'm worried to even have it installed at all. When I walked in the store i was met by a man named Ron who has turned out to be an absolute nightmare. The whole time I was shopping I couldn't get two words in without him talking over me and just being plain rude. I decided to buy a runner for our staircase and came in the next day to make a $400 deposit. I dealt with a different guy, Joel, this time who was actually quite nice and listened to me. We were given an estimate around $800 for the staircase and landing. We decided a few days later before the carpet was ordered not to go with the landing, just the staircase. Ron let me know that the price would be the same anyway. I don't understand, less work, less carpet, but you're still charging me the same price? Weeks later Ron calls back again to set up a date for installation. Speaking to this man on the phone is near impossible, he talks over you constantly and has zero people skills. I was expecting a phone call the day before the install date. No phone call. The day of the planned install, Ron calls me to let me know the carpeting is not in yet and by the way, it is in no way his fault! He must have told me that at least three times. He says he'll call me when the carpeting does come in and then we can pick an install date. The next week I hear from him again, carpeting is in. Carpet is to be installed on thursday and he wants to know if i'd like a morning or afternoon install. I ask for morning. Last night, the day before scheduled install I get a phone call letting me know someone will call me between 8:30 and 10 to schedule a time to come out. I remind him that I asked for a morning delivery but he says, not the case, they will just call to schedule in the morning. Here we are today, date of install. I wait for a phone call until 10:00 and no one calls. I call and get Joel on the phone who apologizes to me and puts my salesman Ron on the phone and this is where things went south. Ron tells me that the carpet is not actually going to be installed today. Someone will come out to the house with the carpet, lay it out and then take it back to the store to cut and bind it and then come back some time next week to actually install it. Not once in this whole process was I told that this was a two day process. So now we're waiting another week for this carpeting. I went through the list of all the things that have occurred and why I'm not happy and Ron proceeds to tell me that he is not going to argue with me, this is not his fault and that his father is in hospice so he's having a hard week. I told him that we would almost rather lose our deposit and go with someone else because of the customer service and he says "fine". I couldn't believe that was the response given to me by a professional. I said "fine? you're not even going to try to smooth things over and keep my business?" He says, nope, i'll call them right now and cancel the install. At this point I ask for the owners name. Ron absolutely refuses to give it to me. I must have asked 10 times. Each time he refused and then finally hung up on me! The salesman that I've given $400 to and have yet to see anything for it, hung up the phone on me! I'm sitting here in shock at the way I was treated by this person we gave our business to. We will never even consider using this business again and discourage others from doing so. read more
