We got quotes from and looked at product from many businesses and felt Kenny Carpets was the right fit for us for many reasons: - the price was reasonable and in our budget - they could deliver/install the carpets in a few weeks (another company had a month wait) - the staff were all extremely attentive and helpful We worked Conner who was immediately very friendly and helped us decide on the right carpeting for our needs. He didn't try to push us in any particular direction but listened to what we wanted and made suggestions. He also gave us the heads up for an upcoming sale so we could make sure we got a good price. One the day of install the team worked quickly and did a thorough job cleaning up afterwards so we didn't have to worry about any mess. When I walked in, I noticed there was a large selection to choose from. I was greeted by Eric & with his guidance, I found just what I was looking for without any sales pressure. After he showed me & informed me on different floorings, I went home to think about it. I called the next morning to see how quickly it could be installed. Eric came out that same day to measure for my new floor & at that time, I decided to put a new floor in the laundry room also. He was very thorough, explained everything that he was doing & was very patient when I asked questions. My floors were ordered & the install was scheduled that same week! Carpeted my stairs! Check out the sweet pics ! Side note: - They may have chipped the trim a little. You decide. - The carpet is a little loose, but only in a few spots. Super kid safe. - The carpet only has a few small gaps where it meets with moulding. It's nice to see the floor under the carpet. Adds to the mystique. - Most installer tack the carpet down in straight lines, not these guys, no sir, the creativity runs deep. in my case they opted for a all over the place look. read more

We had our flooring installed a year ago, and after several attempts to finish the flooring, after being told many times that someone would come out, and numerous excuses by the salesmen, someone finally came out to finish the job. As with the previous groups of installers, the men were unprofessional, brought the wrong equipment or lack of, and unsharpened blades to cut products. We had the first crew put levelling compound in the front of our house, unaware of how to mix the product and applied 7x as much as they should have. Those men were doing the job too slowly and were placed at a different site. Not only did these gentlemen not clean up, but were very vocal about not knowing how to do the job and even used OUR tools. The end result is great, due to the actual flooring manufacturer. Additionally, the estimate was over the actual install and we paid for a lot of extra product. The installers took that back with them and told us we would receive a refund. We have not yet. Unfortunately, I would not suggest this store to any individual. read more

I also stopped in at the Amherst location to look at a few different samples and the sales staff was friendly and accommodating. I was able to take home a book of carpet samples which was very helpful in our decision-making process. Kenny Carpets was able to work around my schedule and was able to accommodate a morning installation. I received a phone call the day before, and day of confirming my install date/time and notifying me of their upcoming arrival. The installers were efficient, pleasant, and tidy. If I could give this experience a 0 I would. I booked a simple job that ended up costing me 3 mornings of work with not even an offer to comp or refund some of my money. The first installer showed up 3 hours late and under the influence of something. Threw up in my lawn, then after I gave a pass on both of those mess ups AND brought him water from my house, he then laid down on the carpet in the street "sick". A few minutes later he attempted to carry the rug down my driveway but began dry heaving and threw up again. At that point I asked him to leave my house and called the store to schedule a new install. On his way out, the installer tried telling me he was sick from the COVID vaccine but NOT TO TELL HIS EMPLOYER then called me personally 2 times over that weekend (I didn't answer). The new install came a week later. When the new installer showed up and started to get to work he noticed the previous installer cut the rug a) against the grain and b) the wrong direction off the roll, so it wasn't going to fit for the job. He then called the store to work out a third install date. That date came about 10 days later since they had to order a new roll. The same second installer showed up and was able to complete the job in 2.5 hours. When I called the store not only was I not offered to take of the payment for the installation charge (something the store and the installer should work out between them not me) I was made to feel bad from the manager because HE had to order it locally and would cost HIM more versus the national warehouse. I asked the store to reimburse me for the install, and was told "we completed the job" and offered a "small area rug" instead. I have never had a more unprofessional experience in my life let alone the complete disregard for lost vacation time from work (what equated to 8 hours as opposed to the 3 it would have taken day one). FIND ANOTHER RUG COMPANY! On a positive note I will say the second installer was great and very understanding. It was even he who said "you better get something off of this for all the BS you've been through". read more

I am so, so sad that I went to Kenny Carpets. Every day I walk on a lumpy floor. The carpet is exactly what I wanted but the padding is not a medium grade that was shown to me in the showroom. It's like tissue paper. And there were staples everywhere. They even have a fulltime guy who will come out and hammer the staples down. My husband put a 6 x 9 area rug down in the bedroom and throw rugs. Yes....we had to cover brand new carpeting. Everytime I walk in the hall and down the stairs - I'm stepping on staples that are hammered down.....but why are they in the middle anyway? The install took 2 days. read more

Bad experience went to the Sheridan Dr location the sales person was pretty nice we told him what rooms we were trying to carpet and gave him an estimate on the room sizes and then gave us a rough estimate on the price, a few days later he came out and measured each room and our hallway well not surprising the estimate was a few hundred dollars off so we were off course going to pay more, fine it was just and estimate so couldn't complain too much.Well fast forward to installation day even after the sales person came out to measure they were short and couldn't finish the job the installers apologized and said he would call the store and let them know,not once did we hear from the store we had to call and find out when we were getting the finished carpet we were told on Tuesday they would come out the next day and would call us in the morning with a time , Wednesday comes and no phone call my husband had to call them to follow up and found out they would come later in the afternoon completely unacceptable!! I will never do business with them again!! read more

Disappointed. After the sales manager told us to hold off paying a deposit because we had a short window to move in along with other remodeling efforts and he wanted to be sure he could deliver on a certain day, they were a day late. The price ended up being higher than the quote in the store, even though we gave room dimensions and he factored in a bit extra (big surprise that it would end up being more). I tried to get him to stick to the $100 or so less but he said he's already making "little on this." Whatever, ok, just install...a day late. Acted like they were doing us a huge favor then by doing a Saturday install. The guys that came on Saturday came hours early (while I was trying to do other floor repairs in prep for the carpet, because they had other installs that weren't ready. The younger one was nice the other guy indifferent. Regardless, the carpet was not put down well (loose carpet that I will have to staple or pull to the tack strip, cut poorly around baseboard heaters), the cleanup was awful, they even left a gigantic razor on the carpet even though my 1 year old was there. I'm not even going to bother calling them back to complain. Empty salesman-ee tactics. No follow up either. Carpet and pad are nice. read more

Horrible Experience!!! After paying a lot of money for new rugs you would think at the very least they would vacuum up all of the clippings. Nope! Installer Dave said his vacuum is out of juice. He didn't have a vacuum on the truck. They left the place a mess. Not only did they leave 5 rooms a mess, they covered up my floor vent. When you call the salesman (Scott) about the mess he states "some crews clean up some don't". I asked if that is there standard practice and he states "he's not the owner". How about a disclaimer "We will only install your new rugs but, we will leave it mess!" When I call back to let him know the installers covered up my floor vent he told me it was his day off and they might get back out there by the end of the week. I called the store and they couldn't help me because he wasn't the salesman on the job. What kind of business are they running? Horrible customer service. Beware, if your looking for quality service, keep looking. read more

Very disappointed. The salesman was nice and the installation guys were fantastic - but the added frustration with scheduling left me less than satisfied. Requested a 2 day install and early morning appointments - was promised both. The first day they showed up at 3pm. The second day I was told I was removed from the install list - this was after I called - they never called me. Was told 3 different stories: first that the job was finished on the first day (even though the installer told them it wasn't); that the number of pieces of furniture was much more than anticipated (even though their salesman counted them himself); and that they had too many jobs to complete that day and couldn't get them all done (even though I had scheduled the job 5 weeks earlier). After having to call my salesman, the owner & the warehouse scheduler to complain - they finally showed up at 5pm. Thank God for the install guys - they worked like dogs to get the job done - stayed until 9pm to make sure it was finished. Scheduling turned a routine job (with a ton of work on my part) into a nightmare where I had to fight to get what was promised and scheduled. And to add to the frustration, not one call from my salesman or the owner to apologize for the mistakes (I had to call them for follow-up). do yourself a favor - go to Home Depot. You'll save money. I chose Kenny thinking I was getting 50 years of reputation - but the fact that they never offered me anything for the frustration tells me this happens more often than they want to admit. And after talking to many people about the experience - I am hearing similar stories. I only wish I had spoken to them beforehand. Consider yourself warned .......... read more
