Poor quality and very unprofessional installer. Left basement a mess, didn't clean up or vacuum the carpet cuts and frayed pieces everywhere. . Hid all their trash from carpet rolls under our stair storage area too lazy to take it with them. Installed carpet with two horribly noticeable 18' seams improperly done in middle of bedroom and living room because they didn't go correct direction as their layout showed. Set the metal threshold crooked so tile wouldn't install straight in laundry room, had to remove it or cut all tiles crooked. Forgot bathroom threshold. Carpet Mill did send another installer to fix the seams, didn't fix either threshold due to manager saying installer didn't want to jeopardize his craftsmanship. Gave opportunity to make this right they chose to allow shi* craftsmanship under their business name. read more

I paid over $17K for some luxury vinyl installed at my house. they put it in , but there were some problems with some edging coming loose under your feet. there were some issues with the vinyl chipping. I called them about it and they sent someone over with some glue. they replied a couple of spots and left me with a tube to do it myself down the road. the glue turned to cement before the week was out and they didn't respond to the chipping. they bragged about their service and warranty when I purchased their products, but when it came time for them to prove it, they were nowhere to be seen. do not buy from this merchant. read more

You probably won't find this statement common in a review but I wish they would have up sold us better padding and carpeting. We could afford it. This was the first time my husband and I had purchased carpeting and although we knew for certain what color we wanted, we didn't realize we needed more guidance in padding and carpet density until the project was finished. The carpeting we had was soft and comfortable under foot. The stuff we have now is dense and hard. Live and learn I guess but we chose this store because that's all they do is sell and install flooring. We had two different installers: One was efficient and the other had several self-made problems which lengthened the project. Seams were his biggest obstacle and I now have two that I walk over every day that look unprofessional and one that squeaks. Some of the carpet is loose (wrinkled) on the staircase. He said he would fix it and I believed him but alas, it is not. Another reminder I walk over every day. I had to repaint the baseboards on my staircase because of the markings. When it comes to carpet and tile, Carpet Mill is fine. Took awhile to get them installed but the installation went flawlessly. But let me make a recommendation - DO NOT LET THEM REFINISH YOUR HARDWOOD FLOORS? Poor communication between store and pro ended up with ruined floors. If we knew the result from not using oil based. Polyurethane would look so blahhh - well it was an expensive mistake. read more

When our contractor went to finish the installation of Coretec flooring bought from here, he found that the transition piece from the kitchen vinyl to the new Coretec was the wrong type. The store manager had been out to the house to see what we needed. Now, she won't exchange the transition piece for the right one. She says I have to read the contract and that my expectations are wrong for how this should be handled. I didn't decide what type of transition was needed. She did. She did not say that it could be wrong and that we'd need to buy a new transition if it was wrong. She should have said that we should wait to order the transition to see how it came out to be sure we got the right thing. She doesn't think that's how it should be handled. I will not deal with her or this store again. Caveat emptor!!! read more

We recently brought a place that had really awful carpet in a couple of the bedrooms. We checked out Lowes/Home Depot before we noticed the Carpet Mill store on 88th and Wadsworth. We had a great experience at Carpet Mill. Doug is an outstanding salesman who gave us a ton of information, explained our options and set us up with a great deal on carpet and padding. He made us feel comfortable and help us pick out something we're very happy with. He even let us take a swatch back to our house so we could see how it looked in our rooms. The installers we're great. They we're very polite, even asking permission to use the bathroom. The carpet looks and feels great. Thanks to Doug for helping us through this process. He will be our first stop as we continue to redo the flooring for the rest of our house. read more

RUDE, the sales person was extremely rude to me. I tried to confirm the install date of my carpeting. The sales person was yelling at me that "I ALREADY TOLD YOU THAT" and I tried to tell her that she hadn't she was suppose to call me back to confirm. I was calling her instead to confirm the date and she then said "ARE YOU CALLING ME A LIAR". I have never had anyone do business and be so RUDE to a Customer. I owned my own business cleaning carpets for many years, she was AWFUL. My contractor was near by hearing this exchange and said if she had talked to him like that he would of cancelled and started over with another company. I couldn't she already had my deposit non-fundable. NEVER EVERY WOULD I RECOMMEND. read more

Installers were great but customer service at carpet mill especially by the manager was awful and she was very rude to us. Sharise lied to us claimed that the installers for my flooring was messed up because his mother died , yes she did a month prior to our installation and that's why she claimed that our installation scheduling was messed up. We have never been treated so awful by a manager of any store before . We even called corporate and they never returned our phone calls . Like I said product and installation was good but customer service is the worse . read more

DO NOT BUY CARPET FROM THIS PLACE! THEY RUINED MY BASEBOARDS AND REFUSE TO REIMBURSE ME TO FIX THEM!!! Bought a house and wanted to carpet one bedroom of the home. Had to get the baseboards removed and put back on to install the carpet and the guy that was sent over did them all wrong and now they have nails sticking out and completely cracked in other places. Had to talk to Carpet Mill to get another guy out to correct the first guy's work but he did an incomplete job and didn't fix all of the nails that are sticking out of the baseboards. There is also places where the baseboards were installed so poorly that the baseboards don't match each other at all!! I have complaints in with the BBB but DO NOT GO HERE!!! Tim, the manager, refuses to refund me the difference to get this all fixed and says it is my responsibility and that the damage is just "NORMAL". I wish I could attach pictures of what it looks like now. Just terrible and my bedroom looks 10X worse than it did in the beginning!!! Will never go here again!! PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS WARNING! THEY DON'T VET THE CONTRACTORS WHO DO THE INSTALL AND THEY DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGE THAT THEY DO IN YOUR HOME. read more

Worst customer service you will ever deal with. Don't go here!!!! They screwed up my order four times and even when I called to confirm they didn't show up. Then made a lame excuse why the installers didn't show up. Even when I spoke to the manager he made excuses and didn't even apologize. Worst place to get carpet!!! read more

Purchased carpet install date was set waited all day for installers spoke to general manager, sharice, at the Arvada store who gave us several different stories as to why they weren't there was very rude told us they would be here the next day at 10 am they were here an hour and a half early. due to some medical issues we were unable to have them install it at that time. Victor, the installer, got rude and began yelling refused to come back at 10. Contacted the manager sharice again who said it was her fault again regarding the install time. Very disorganized he did not come back. Called the store lady named Donna began making excuses and I was deeply offended when they said they couldn't hire any white guys to do the jobs so they hire Mexicans since they are less money. Called another store who's hopefully going to help out. Do not purchase and install anything from this store. It's poorly run, very disorganized, has an unprofessional manager who is a hot head, and apparently hires people who are racist. read more

Yikes...Do not do business with these people. Everything about the way they did business was sleazy. First they said the carpet I wanted was in stock. The next day they called and said "hurry, we can install tomorrow". I said go for it. Then they called back in 20 minutes and said "sorry, your carpet is not in stock". I said OK, I want to cancel, and they said I could cancel without charge, but please come over and sign the cancel order. I came over and signed it, and then noticed it was a change order with a $50 charge for changing the order. To make matters worse, they refused to give me my deposit check ($1300) back, and said the main office would send me my refund. So now my checking account has been charged the entire deposit, while I wait around for the refund check (minus the $50) to show up. Carpet Mill deposited my check and it hit my bank on January 8th. As of this writing I am still waiting for my refund check to arrive as of January 27. They have been holding my $1250 for almost 20 days now. I am pissed!!! Run away, quickly, go somewhere else, anywhere else!!! read more
