Our recent visit will most likely be our last. Lentil soup tasted like licking a salt block (also received the wrong soup) and we sent it back. Beer taps were not operational-part on order, same with the espresso machines frothing ability, again part on order. Our main courses tasted like the same sauce but were different dishes. I'm not a frequent guest of this franchise but I was in town for a visit and Greg & Cheryl recommend this place for dinner. They have call ahead seating which is a nice feature, especially when it's busy. We had a real nice server named Paige who was able to explain the menu and make some recommendations. Greg had the butterfly chicken, Cheryl had the Salmon and I had the Mahi. We all got the side salad. The meal comes with hot bread and I like they pour the Extra Virgin Olive oil with parsley for you. They also do something unique I've never seen before. They pour you a 'taste' of a selected wine for you to try. Today it was a Chianti and then you get the option of selecting it or another glass or bottle of wine. Greg and Cheryl both opted for it but I went with the J Lohr, Cab Sav and Napa Wine which is always a good choice. We all agreed we had a very satisfying meal and a great experience. read more

Wow! It's Carrabba's! Need I say more? Always classy and amazing! From the minute I walked in, the hostess seated me right away and was so friendly. My server, Jose came over just after I sat down and let me know about the new specials and that I could take an extra dish home for only ten dollars. Wow! I love the herbs in olive oil with warm bread. It gets me there but the Pollo Rosa Maria is what makes me stay! It's delicious! Today is no different. This time I changed up my usual sides and ordered soup. Omg, it's so good and tastes great! Definitely homemade. I also has Alfredo for my second side, I'm getting full now but I have to try it and yes it's yummy! Everything is perfect as usual. This is my first visit to the south Lakeland location and I'm impressed! We will be back for sure! You know what's an added bonus? It's so quiet and peaceful! Experienced my first time at Carrabbas. I selected it as an anniversary dinner, wanted to try the food to see if its as good as Olive Gardens. Unfortunately. No. I don't think I'll ever go out of my way to go to another Carrabbas. The food just didn't HIT like I thought it would. The bread & oil? Delicious. Main dish? Not horrible. But nothing to write home about. My waiter was was amazing though. She was kind & helpful & welcoming & even helped my Fiancé with picking a dish. She loved her food & desert. But me personally, I just didn't like it. And unfortunately. With my bad luck, I ended up sitting next to a family of 10 who would not stop talking about the current president. My appetite was immediately ruined. They were loud & obnoxious & inconsiderate of others were around them. I decided against making a scene even though it would of been justified. Let's just say we are huge Carrabas fans.... But not really of this location. The food is not quite cooked as well, restaurant isn't as quite as well maintained as others I have been to here in Florida and around the country. Service is slow as well.... It just doesn't hit the same as the others in terms of maintenance. The one in Plant City off 1-4 is much better. It may be a few minutes longer away from our home, but that one is very good. read more

When we arrived they acknowledged my call but acted as if it was a great inconvenience. One time keeping us waiting quite a while as others came and we're seated. Restaurant was not that busy. Next I asked the waitress to speak up as 3 guests were hard of hearing she ignored this. One glass of wine 15-20 to arrive. Bread arrived and was hard as a brick. Food did not come out together. My sampler appetizer took a long time to arrive and was very salty. Looked like it was thrown on the plate at the last minute. I've always loved Carraba's as a special restaurant. The meatballs were so soft, the sauce tasted fresh and full of flavor. Definitely recommend this dish for appetizer. The shrimps and scallops were delicious, fresh and juicy. Now I've worked in restaurants, I've been a manager. To sit and have this conversation in front of a paying customer is insanity. So my food comes out, I look at the bartender and say can I be honest? I just sat here and listened to yalls whole conversation about your poor health inspector visit, and to be honest; I don't want to eat here!!!! She tries to say that it wasn't current, and I said girl I'm sitting here hearing them list bad thing after bad thing!!! Like wtf!!! Please have your manager come over. Lone behold, it's one of the guys (Zack) who was involved in the conversation. I said ooooh you're the manager. Well I just listened to yalls whole conversation you willingly had in front of me. We went very much out of our way to find this Carrabba's, finally found it only to see that there's no parking. So we used the public ramp and headed out for a long walk to the restaurant. When we got there, we couldn't find any way in, continued our long walk around the entire block and finally found the entrance. We were greeted and seated quickly, were told by the hostess that they were having trouble with the heating system on this 48° day. Given all of that hassle and the chilly room, we'd still come here again! Erica is a gem of a waitress, made some excellent suggestions and did not try to upsell us. We enjoyed the warm bread with seasoned olive oil for dipping while we sipped our drinks. Dear Hubby had a delightful blackberry Sangria and I had Chardonnay. He thoroughly enjoyed eight large sea scallops done to perfection accompanied by angel hair pasta with a tasty lemon/butter/wine sauce. I had the beautifully prepared sea bass with the same angel hair pasta. The food was great and the service was attentive, so we lingered to each have another blackberry Sangria. $105 well spent in Orlando. read more

First disappointing item at Carrabba's. We ordered the charcuterie from their new autumn menu, and it was beyond dismal. The item was obviously prepared a while ago and refrigerated. Only one knows how long ago, but suffice it to say long enough for the plastic wrap on the olives to have flattened them. Seriously, flattened olive, and that was just the beginning. The meat cuts had been on the board for so long they were effectively glued to it, were grayish in color & utterly unflavoreful! Even the cheese was flavorless, including the blue cheese or Gorgonzola - we had no idea which as it had no fresh pungent flavor. You could do better at an airport kiosk. I did talk with the manager about this, and he seemed to be relatively unconcerned...leading me to think there are more waiting in the refrigerator. . . Many more and he did not deny it. read more

I had the mussels and a side salad which filled me up perfectly. Make sure you dip the bread in the sauce! The hostess that greeted us was exceptional. As was our first waitress. Beyond that, this is the worst restaurant on the entire fucking planet. I've never been to an establishment where the waiter is so blatantly rude and unwilling to help the customer.
