on May 28, I went to Longhorn steakhouse me and a friend I ordered a steak my friend ordered chicken. I specifically told the waiter I was allergic to onions. He informed me that there will be no onions on my food but however, they did not disclose to me that they use onion powder on everything. I am allergic to onions after finding that out I told the manager that was on duty she said sorry for the inconvenience and her general manager in contact with me. they gave me a reimbursement for my now all of a sudden their lawyer reached out to me telling me I need this. I need that not compensate me or anything. I have pictures of the food that I ate. I have audio call of the manager that on duty that admitting that the waiter messed up and did not disclose with me that they put onion powder on their food. products. The lemon garlic chicken has been my favorite for years, but on May 19 2026, it was so salty it drew my mouth up like a bow. I ate about 4 bites, asked for some honey mustard to hopefully offset it, but it didnt help. Finally I told the waitress I couldn't eat it. She offered another entree but I tasted my husband's steak and it was salty, so was my baked potato. I drank all my water while I watched my husband eat dinner, noting his sweet potato looked like pudding. He sat his birthday card on the table after we ordered, but they didnt offer us a dessert menu, just asked if I wanted the check. I paid for both dinners and THEN the manager came by to apologize, adding that all the chicken arrives pre-marinated so they don't have any control over it. Wow, they don't get fresh chicken? We had a lovely dinner here with exceptional service. We were greeted with a smiling face and seated immediately. Our server went above and beyond and stayed on top of everything. The food was hot and delicious. My husband and I both decided to forgo the usual salads and have cups of potato soup instead. I don't know what this particular Longhorn does differently, but it was some of the best potato soup I've had in quite some time and they were overly generous with the cheese and bacon. I had the filet and it was cooked a perfect medium with wonderful flavour. My baked potato was also cooked perfectly... you may ask if one could really mess up a baked potato and the answer will be a resounding YES! Overcooked... undercooked. I find myself often disappointed with baked potatoes in restaurants. I'm so happy we found this convenient steakhouse immediately off of I-4 on the route from Orlando to Tampa. Went to Davenport Florida location today. We were seated in the half of the restaurant where everyone else was seated. This after waiting at the door for 25 minutes. Asked to be seated in the quiet half of the restaurant and "hostess" said no ad there were no servers for that area. It was very noisy and packed. After 5 minute wait we got up and left. We are in our 70s and they always try to stick us near the rest rooms. Stinky. Or ourside the kitchen door. Or a booth. I have a bad leg and cannot slide into a booth so need a table. They get pissy if we state our wishes at the desk. As we were leaving we saw the nicer quiet section had only one couple seated about our ages. Went to Ford's Garage. I am done with longhorn. This review is definitely going to be a little harsh and long because I am still widely annoyed. Sorry but not sorry. I knew in advance that my family and I wanted to do a small birthday dinner for my brother. We were a party of 10 people but someone joined unexpectedly last minute so it made us 11. I called the restaurant the day before and explained that we know they do not take reservation so we wanted to know what to do because it was going to be a Saturday night. I was told to call the morning of Saturday and speak to a manager so that they can help me. I called at 11:43am.. they literally just opened. On the morning of Saturday, I spoke to a rude hostess who told me that there's nothing she can do and then transferred me to a manager. The manager then started to yell at me and said verbatim ' he has trained all employees and that no one would dare tell me this information.' After he had his tantrum over with.. he said to call 30 minutes before to be put on a waitlist and then check in with the hostess. I accepted it and hung up. I called at 6pm and spoke with another rude hostess.... probably the same one tbh. The hostess told me that they do not have a waitlist and that it is first come first serve.... she told me that they do not accept reservations and have no kind of list that we can be put on and then hung up on me. I was LIVID. I got to the restaurant a little before 7pm and spoke to a manager in person because apparently no one knows what customer service is over the phone. I told the manager my experience and explained that I was beyond livid because I have been given the run around with the rudest people. The manager was a lady and tried to rectify the issue with giving us free appetizers but we still had to wait 40 minutes before being seated. I was embarrassed in front of my family. When we finally get called into the restaurant, they had a table set for 9 people. Now originally I told the manager 10 people so it should have been set for 10 but remember someone joined last minute so now were 11. The hostess looked at us like we were stupid but apparently she didn't pass the 1st grade because 9 chairs isn't enough for 10 people. So we took it upon ourselves and joined the empty table next to us so that we can all fit. We ordered the appetizers about 15 - 20 minutes before being seated so those came out as soon as we were seated. The entree's took longer to come out but they were also warm.. not hot. The gravy was so thick that it looked like soup and the mashed potatoes were not appetizing at all. I am giving it a 2 star because the 1 waiter that we were assigned and the current manager tried to actually make it a decent experience. However, I am still very unhappy with Longhorn and most likely will not be coming back any time soon. read more

Longhorn's need to fire this manager for her attitude and total unprofessionalism working with patrons. Most importantly I have to compliment this restaurant for having hand cleaner available right inside the front door. Your safety feature enables patrons to clean their hands after using the door handle to enter...the handle all people who enter use. Good PR that is appreciated. Three of us had lunch, relaxed, chatted, visited and 'caught up' after not seeing each other for 30+ years. Jen, our server, gave us excellent service while allowing our needed time to visit. We called ahead to have a late birthday lunch for my son with 17 people. was informed that they can't seat more than 12 people per table per corporate, but we could split it and the tables would be close. No problem. We get there and the tables were over 10 feet away from each other. The booths were considerably closer to us than the rest of our party. So we kindly asked the server if we could move them closer so we could talk to the other half of our group. He says they have to be at least 3 feet away per restaurant rules, but closer shouldn't be a problem. We have no problem following the rules and really don't want to make a fuss, we just want to even see the rest of the people at this point. We were about to move them when the manager comes over and very rudely raises her voice at us and tells us we aren't allowed to move anything. Her snarky tone and wording choice heavily implied if we had a problem, we could leave. This is what my son wanted for his birthday, I'm not about to leave. We didn't want to cause a scene so we left it as is. We just had to walk back and forth to talk to the rest of our party. The food was good and server was amazing, trying to be as kind as possible given the situation. We'd consider another Longhorn, but never again one where Tiffany Pippin is the manager. My ten year old has better compassion and manners. Two of us went to lunch around 2pm on a Monday. The place was pretty empty. We ordered sweet teas which were the perfect amount of tea and sweet. For appetizers we got the Wild West Shrimp and the Spicy Chicken Bites. The chicken bites were by far the best deal and my absolute favorite. The shrimp were very good as well but the chicken was the highlight of my trip. The complimentary bread was fine, nothing special. Our main meals were delicious. We got salmon and the parmesan crusted chicken. They were very good and we even had leftovers to take home. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Ambiance was a bit dark and the music playing (Country music) was a little loud for my tastes but I could easily talk over it. Our waitress was wonderful, made sure I had a drink to go and more of the chili ginger sauce from the Spicy Chicken Bites to go home with. Masks were optional, staff did not wear them, for those concerned about masking requirements. Fantastic service front Dalonde tonight. Our filet mignons were cooked to perfection and the wait staff was quick and courteous. We had a small wait before getting a table, but anyone who is expecting to walk in and be seated is delusional. We tend to arrive as the wait staff was arriving for their shifts and there were empty tables. But tables with no one to service them are not available. I had to take a moment to write this review after I had some time to think about it and gave the restaurant ample time to respond. We went for my boyfriend's birthday to have a nice weekday dinner out. It was a Tuesday around 8:20 PM when we arrived at the restaurant, which was relatively slow. The waitress sat us in the bar area at the very last booth next to the kitchen entrance. That table should have given us a gut feeling as to how the night would go since it was already a space where a lot of of the servers were hanging out. The bartender was our server for the evening. It took a little bit of time to get our drink orders, but not anything crazy we both worked in restaurants and are pretty easy-going. After we received our non-alcoholic beverages she needed some time to make our alcoholic beverages, which was fine. When she was finished making those alcoholic beverages and drop them off, we were given the opportunity to order. We ordered an appetizer specifically, their hot wings two entrées, two salads pretty simple. We were enjoying our drinks and watching people come in and out of the kitchen again. It was a high traffic table and we happen to look at each other about 25 minutes into our experience, wondering when we would get the bread service. I began looking around for a waitress so we could at least ask for bread while we waited for our appetizer. What happened a few minutes later were our entrées hitting the table. We looked at our waitress confused and she looked completely unbothered until we said to her we hadn't even received our salads appetizer or even bread yet she looked shocked and said she would check on everything. She left the entrées on the table, came back a few minutes later with our salads and stated our hot wings were "in the grease", and we asked for bread which she said she would get. She then offered us boxes for our entrées because she told us she knew they were going to get cold. We said no, we would just try to enjoy our meal. We ate our salads. We pushed our trays over about 15 minutes later the wings came out and we proceeded to try to eat our way through the upwards of nine plates on our table.. While we were eating our dinner, we got a show lol the show being our waitress the bartender fighting with another waiter over a $20 tip. They were going back-and-forth yelling about this $20 tip to the point where other waitresses and waiters were coming out of the kitchen to join in on this debate all happening right behind me. At one point, someone behind me mentioned our food being stacked up and that someone should tell a manager, but "no managers were around". We then had three different servers come to our table to offer us boxes within a few minutes of getting our wings because our table just looked like it hadn't been pre-bust. Again this was a birthday celebration. We don't go out to eat often and it was very disappointing, but I thought maybe I could salvage the evening by letting someone know it was my boyfriends birthday. I excuse myself to go to the restroom and stopped and asked another server if they could let our server know that it was his birthday. She said she would do that. I sit back down at the table again working our way through several plates went out comes a birthday Sunday that is in sat in the smallest open space in front of my boyfriend by our server saying "happy birthday can I get you some boxes. At this point, we were both over the experience and agreed to get boxes. Boxed everything up that we could, when we got to the car it was 940. In one hour we were rushed forgotten about overlooked and honestly just had a terrible experience. I emailed longhorns the next morning. Corporate responded to me and told me I would receive a call from the manager within the next few days. I received one call from Longhorns several days later that I had missed no one left a message. It was a three second hangup on my voicemail. I responded to Longhorns corporate and told them someone had called but didn't leave a voicemail so I didn't know who I should call back. longhorn corporate responded that the manager had told them they had attempted to contact me several times and also sent me an email. I scrubbed my email to make sure I didn't miss anything. Even checking my spam folder and and responded back, No, I'd only received one call with no message being left to know who to call back and I have not received any emails outside of from their corporate. The corporate person did leave the manager's name and told me to call back and ask for her. I responded that I would do that but again I was disappointed that as the customer I'm the one that's having to root for assistance. Overall terrible experience. read more

So we finally made a point to stop for lunch yesterday, my stepson wanted to try it so badly, it' was on his bucket list before entering the military. When we arrived there was a large group waiting to be seated. No host was at the desk, I saw a woman cleaning tables who looked our way and then made it to the desk. We waited about 5 minutes before our server came and asked for our drink order. Our server was quiet and very low energy just like the hostess. My husband ordered the mushrooms for an appetizer and they were very good. I ordered a cup of the chowder and it's supposed to be shrimp/lobster chowder, I had lots of potatoes, 3-4 bay shrimps and no lobster, no traces in the flavor either, it was ok but not like wow. My stepson ordered the 18oz T-bone steak with fries. When his steak was served it didn't appear to be a 18oz, more like 12-14 perhaps. The bone took a lot of room and not much steak according to him, he enjoyed it said it was tasty. His fries served was literally about 12 fries, there must be a shortage on French fries for a $25 plate lol Hubby ordered the Burger and fries, he said his burger was dry, next to no condiments inside the burger and the buns were dry. He wasn't impressed, I on the other hand ordered the 7-pepper steak salad. It was a huge plate, with blue cheese in the salad and dressing on the side. The 7-pepper steak was delicious, the salad had lettuce which had many pieces of brown lettuce, chopped tomatoe and chunks of blue cheese and croutons . I felt it needed something else, something felt like it was missing. Overall our experience lacked, the environment inside was quiet and loud (large party to the left) it's like nobody cares meaning the stuff. We were celebrating my stepsons accomplishments this day and he had chosen to eat here and enjoy a large steak.
