My first time here!! And i got cat fished!! My mom and I got 2 brown stew chicken plates! The food looks wayyyyy better than it taste. It tastes like nothing literally best thing on my plate was my plantains. I feel bad my mom wasted $30 on our food. Sorry but it's a no for me! Service was mid too ngl

I've been here twice the woman inside is very rude/ doesn't speak when you enter. Soon as I walked in she remained watching her tv until I literally walked up to the counter both times. I only went in there for coca bread and a beef patty. The second time I asked for two of one a one of the other she was so engaged in her movie/phone called she charged me for two of each. Hopefully her "customer service" skills improve.

This is the best Jamaican food in the area ! Great service ! Always clean ! And the lady in the front is always nice and seems happy to see me.

Jerk chicken, rice and cabbage. Really good.

Small, family owned Jamaican spot - both restaurant and grocery spot. When you walk in, you can immediately take in the culture and the pride these people put into this place. JFK , Barack Obama, Nelson Mandela's faces - just some of the faces you'll see on posters. Staff was friendly, no one pressing you on ordering anything or looking frustrated as you peruse through the menu. They ask how you would like certain items cooked (well done/crispy etc) - cool points for that. Food was served within minutes (depending on what you get but mine came out relatively fast). The food overall is delicious. The chicken, rice, cabbage - all blended really well. The jerk chicken seems to seasoned with a rub, very juicy and flavorful. Has a nice kick to it, nothing too strong. I would recommend that dish to any new comers or first timers to Jamaican food. Tidbit: the sweet plantains tasted a bit old, could've been a bit fresher but nothing that took away from the meal really. I would recommend this place for a quick, good lunch meal or dinner for your family. Not so much to dine in - but come in to grab something tasty. Finally, I believe it is fairly priced for the amount of food you get.

A hole in the wall that's worth the stop. Small on inside but enough space to dine in. Has a little grocery store inside it as well. It's definitely mom and pop; owned by a husband and wife. Food is cooked fresh to order and it tastes like homecooking. I'm not Jamaican so I can't speak to the authenticity besides that the other customers were Jamaican. I'm guessing they wouldn't eat somewhere that didn't at least taste authentic. I ordered the jerk shrimp pasta and a chicken patty. I'll attach a picture of my shrimp pasta. It's not a fancy plate and "pretty" but when I eat at my mother's house, the plate isn't pretty but it's the best thing I've ever eaten. The chicken patty is curry but not spicy. The chicken patty was so good that I ordered another to go. My husband ordered jerk chicken and he had none left. It comes with rice, cabbage, and plantains. He devoured it. I'd eat here again and order something different because although the pasta was good, there was way too many veggies in it.

Honestly, you should probably just save your money. Sometimes I come here and the food is good. Sometimes I come here and it's lukewarm and taste as if it was cooked two days prior. The only.thing consistent about this place is that they will definitely give you insulting small portions if you order a plate. I visted the other day for a beef patty and the girl stood in front of me behind the counter with her face in her phone playing on it for about 5 minutes before she ever looked up. I was fuming and tempted to leave but I promised my mother a patty. She finally looked up and said are you planning on ordering??. I said yes I was waiting on you to acknowledge me. She stared at me with an attitude she finally said," what would you like to order". When she rung me up I just happened to be looking at the register & she charged me $0.50 more for the food. I told her that she charged me $0.50 more for my food and she said that that was their price. I had to hand her the menu in order for her to change it. Pay attention to your bill!!! I don't recommend them AT ALL. There are many other Jamaican restaurants in the area. I'll warn you, there is a 50% chance it'll be a day that you will waste your money. & be treated as if they're doing toy a favor by serving you. By the way, here is my $2 macaroni and cheese. Look at the cheese on there yuck! I don't even know why I took one bite from it. It was as disgusting as it looked.

This place refunded me my money on Uber Eats because I asked for fresh food... I assumed maybe they were closing, but I placed the order at 7:50pm they don't close until 9pm. That's alarming that this place doesn't want to provide fresh food. Yes I was purchasing $23 worth of food.

Should have been Lyon for 45 min. Doors are locked, but open sign is lit. Cashiers looked at us and walked to the back and never returned.

Big difference in taste and it was delicious. I'm also picky about rice peas as a Jamaican I know what authentic JA food should taste like. In my opinion they have the BEST most flavorful rice and peas in the area. Only wish they served larger portions of it. Cabbage was seasoned and cooked well with a bit of crunch as it should have. I recommend trying if you're in the mood for a jerk chicken or JA food in general. Portion and price were good. Food was ready quickly. Service was good.

The plantains were some of the best I've experienced. They were soft in the middle but had a crispy crunchy exterior. Very good! The cabbage was seasoned well, but more crunchy than I usually like. The flavor was really good!! Overall, a good experience. It is a no frills space, with good food and the lady at the counter was nice to me as a 1st timer! Thank you for that! I tipped accordingly... I'll be back for sure. It might be my new go to spot. Stay tuned...
